This is the way hardware stores used to be, family run, chock a block with every hardware item you could need. Great for browsing. We’ve been coming here for years since we moved into Gramercy Park in the 80’s. And for service, forget about Home Depot or Lowe’s. They just drilled a hole in a stainless steel plate saving me a trip to a metal fabricator in Brooklyn. They did it in the store. It took all of five minutes. Can’t beat that.

Visited Warshaw Hardware store. Loved this place. Family owned business that provides expert service. We requested their locksmith to come over to our apt to install a new Medco cylinder. This service call was set up promptly and our new lock works great. The pricing for this service was quite reasonable. I highly recommend contacting Warshaw Hardware if you require a locksmith. Walking in and browsing the aisles is also worth a trip.

The best! I had tricky elevator keys to duplicate. Nobody could make them. One locksmith made such a bad job he had to reimburse me. I was exhausted going to so many locksmiths, then I found Warshaw. The keys are perfect, smooth, and for half the price. Really the best!

When I got home at 5:46 our house cleaner told me that she accidentally made a hole in the bathroom sink drain pipe. I removed the damaged L-fitting and dashed 5 blocks to Warshaw Hardware before they closed at 6. They graciously let me in at 5:55, found the correct replacement fitting, cut it to size, noticed that I needed a reducer and provided one, then let me pay with ApplePay. I've lived in the neighborhood for 24 years and only visit Warshaw Hardware when something is broken. Everytime I visit they are unfailingly thoughtful, knowledgeable, helpful and kind. My wife is so happy that I was able to fix the sink before she got home. Thanks a million Warshaw Hardware! I can't recommend these guys highly enough!

Great local hardware store with friendly service and a better selection of hard to find items than neighboring hardware stores.

This is the kind of neighborhood gem everyone wishes they had. The staff at Warshaw has helped us on a variety of projects and issues: from custom ordering soil and hand delivering it, to helping us fix an e-scooter with a hole in the tire, to everything in between. The customer service is amazing, and the staff is incredibly knowledge. Megan (sp?) in particular has provided expert help in so many different areas and she truly seems to know it all. It’s not just about making a buck, she genuinely enjoys helping her customers and will always go above and beyond. Next time you have a household project or any hardware issues or questions, I highly recommend you come to Warshaw.

I have been visiting this store for any house items - from SodaStream cylinders via light bulbs, through anything that one may need for fixing it myself at home. The people are knowledgeable, kind, and would go beyond and above to satisfy every request. One time the long hair guy told me straight forward that the closet part I was looking for is no longer in production, and advised me how to use a new one to fix it. Thank you, guys!
