We paid for a room with 4 people. As we had come from our of town, we were shown to our room with one queen bed and a pull out. There were no sheets for a pull out. When I called to ask why we were in a small room with one bed, we were told they were overbooked and nothing could be done, so I asked for sheets for the pull out - made no sense since they knew we were a room for 4. Sheets came and we were asked if we needed pillows, which we did. We then got a call from the front desk - Ana and we were told they had no pillows and unfortunately we had to make due. I was told to use the pillows from the queen bed for the pull out. Mind you, the pull out was so small and seemed like it would break - definitely not big enough for two adults. Upon asking to speak to a manager I was told they were not on duty but would be the next day, when I asked what time the next day, I was told at 12 - convenient that it would be after checkout. I asked for a manager to call me and still have not heard from them, not would they offer us a discount as they said we reserved our room online so they didn't care. After my initial complaints, they finally brought up two pillows.

If Google has zero star, I want to give them 0 star. It’s like there is no service in this hotel. The front desk knows nothing and does nothing. Expect to handle all their lies and to have no support. You are all alone here. Report you issue to the customer service isn’t going help you. I was forced to spend an extra night at Edgewater.

First let me say that the rooms were nice, clean. They leave you a disinfectant wipe to clean what you might want to like say the remote, etc. I would stay here again if visiting Edgewater. BUT, what is up with the water pressure in the shower??? It is non-existent!!!! Such a nice big shower and no water pressure!! I washed my hair and instantly regretted it as I could not get all the shampoo/conditioner rinsed out of my hair. They need to do better!! Also, another thing...the mattress we had has definitely seen some action. It has seen better days and needs to be replaced. At first you think, oh how comfortable but quickly found out that my husband and I cuddled every night whether we wanted to or not, as we sunk to the middle. And my husband and I only stayed 2 nights. The hotel is in a nice area, stores, restaurants close by. A police station literally right there. Nice walkway along the water with a beautiful view of the city, Manhattan. Ferries to the city not far. Just SO disappointing that I could not enjoy a nice shower and get a better nights sleep.

No breakfast included if you use points. This is the first Marriott hotel that didn't serve breakfast like this. Was so surprised and disappointed. The room and location are great. But you have to read the fine print, and probably call ahead to confirm before you are led on.

I’m only giving this hotel a low rating because of the one employee that ruined my trip to New Jersey. We are platinum members and get early check-in. The moment i wakes in the door at 9:27am, Saturday March 18, I was greeted with the worst service I’ve ever had in my life. The front desk employee Annadeina treated us like we were in 1865 and black people didn’t matter. She lied and frowned her face at us from the moment I asked how long it would be for us to check in since we a platinum and we already checked in on Friday night so I assumed once a room was ready we were good. Not. She told us to come back around 4 and she would see if something was free. I decided to wait in the lobby at 1pm and wait so at 1:30 a new staff came onboard and I heard her check another family in after I had been waiting in the car since 9:30am. Finally the new lady Fawn assisted us and fully comped the entire stay with breakfast, late check-out and store credit. This lady Annadeina doesn’t have any customer service skills and should not be allowed to represent Marriot properties.

I came to this hotel as it was the best priced location aside from the other hotels. And it was closest to the Sojo Day Spa that I wanted to surprise my fiancée with. The staff was polite, and prompt. The service was wonderful. I stayed for 3 days. I was able to try the pool and the fitness center on the premise and the parking garage was connected to the hotel with decent parking. I also enjoyed the high-tech amenities of everything being connected to your room key card. If I'm ever in Edgewater NJ again I'll definitely come back to this hotel.

My experience was terrible. I’ve been a Marriott member since 2010 when I traveled heavily for work. This was the worst Marriott I’ve ever stayed at. The shower was dirty, the bathroom sink clogged and would fill with water. I asked for more towels and wash clothes and only received towels. In the morning my phone was ringing at 6:30am, but stopped. Then an hour or so later housekeeping was knocking on the door. I politely answered we weren’t requiring a cleaning. They STILL tried to get in the room. Luckily I had the stop lock on. Around 10:30 they started knocking again!!! I opened the door and said I was not checked out yet! I then received a phone call in the room saying they thought I was checked out. I kindly but frustratingly explained check out was not until 12pm and I was still getting dressed! I complained to the manager at the front desk at checkout and was offered 3,000 rewards. He was very kind and listened to my concerns. I was happy with the 3,000 rewards and felt valued and heard. However, I NEVER received the rewards points. Hence, writing this review. I will never stay at this Marriott again!

It is 5am in the morning and I haven’t slept a bit for the night. My next room has been partying since 9pm(load music, yelling, laughing). Security called them and talked to them (2 communications) but it didn’t help. Most other hotels would have evicted those people. Service is low to none at this location, to the front desk: great job running a 3 star hotel like a motel. When you guest ask you how much your premium parking is, “it is only for premium guests, like those rich people who spend hundreds of thousands of dollars with us” is not exactly a good answer.

My wife and I had made a wedding block at this hotel, along with hosting a Newly Wed breakfast the next morning. Although we were hoping to get more rooms for our guests (were able to get about 35 rooms, but guests waited too long to book the rooms), everything went smoothly for our guests, giving out bags to our guests, and hosting the breakfast. Austin did a great job of assisting us in any way he could. Plus, our room was upgraded which was a nice touch

Check In was smooth and the attendant was informative. She even let me know where I could park for a few hours without charge or tow. I was HIGHLY disappointed by the condition of the carpet- There was so much crumbs, hair, and rose petals from the stay before left behind as I began to decorate the room… I had to clean up myself since I didn’t see it before I started, to alert the front desk. I was ALSO HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED that a $70 charge was taken from my credit card for an additional night that was mistakenly added.. that will now take 5-10 business days to clear. I had to call and question the charge to be told of the mistake after receiving my final receipt TWICE via email. I unfortunately wouldn’t stay here again unless things were different. The hotel is beautiful but these are two big things for anyone who are a guest

Make sure to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking any hotel. This web site will compare hundreds of hotel sites and normally will have rooms much cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This resort is one of the most well known in this area. I've been staying here for a long time. If you decide to stay here you for sure will love it I'm sure! Such an amazing experience. Me and my friends stayed here over the weekend for my birthday because we wanted to visit NYC. The entire staff was incredible, and the young woman that was working at the cafe made our coffees perfectly. The food was incredible as well. Not to mention the bus stop to go into NYC was only a couple minutes away on foot! I can’t wait to stay here again!!!

I've had a lot of bad experiences with airport hotels so have been staying further away in nicer locations when I have a chance. Edgewater is in a mixed community with retail and housing right on the Hudson. There are plenty of great local restaurants and shops in the area although many will require a short drive. The hotel seems new and the rooms were clean and bright, with minimal noise. The shades also do a great job of blocking out light for those that like dark rooms for sleeping. Beds and linens were comfortable. Staff was friendly and professional, costs were reasonable, and the facilities and area seemed very secure (the police department almost shares the parking lot). Overall will gladly return should circumstances permit.

We're return visitors. Just a fantastic experience overall. Best was at check-in. The front desk supervisor was so thoughtful, even anticipating our needs (was on the phone when I walked was walking by later and noticed/remembered me and extended the key to my second room without my even asking - so perfect). We also were given adjoining rooms as a family, without our even asking.

horrible front desk manager's hospitality. Please do not book with extra 2k points rate with this hotel. you will have to contact bonvoy to get those points and they will connect you with the front desk manager again and you will have to fight for your points to get it.

I usually like Marriott but was put off at this place. Parking provided (free) on the 3rd floor with the given tag. Pretty small front desk area holding maximum 2 staff members at a time at the desk. We were not given any information about wifi, checkout, or breakfast at the desk (we bought vouchers for breakfast). I was pretty surprised because the staff at Marriott are very attentive and give all the information up front. We were very disappointed about the super thin walls. We could hear EVERYTHING. We had to listen to the door being slammed shut from upstairs, kids yelling, and showers being turned off and on from next doors. Even the windows were not soundproof. We could hear every car going by. I had never been personally so disappointed with Marriott, I agreed to stay at this location because it was Marriott and I always had very good experience with them. I don't think I will return to this location. I don't recommend staying in this hotel.

I booked a corporate event with specific dietary requests and format, and from start to finish everything was effortlessly perfect. What really made this exceptional were Dee and Austin! They payed attention to every detail and gave us excellent service. I highly recommend staying here for any work event or a weekend getaway.

They had a decent size room, bed, and shower. Comes with a microwave and refrigerator. Ice machine could be better because they only had small ice chips. The gym was small and the pool was very small as well. Parking on the 3rd floor was a short walk. In terms of location, not very much point of interest things to do. You will require some type of transportation.

Born an raised in this location but retired an moved to south jersey , I moved 3yrs before it was completed came back for an engagement party and stayed overnight very very nice hotel , but for some reason it seems like it has thin ceilings, ceilings and Floors need to be Concrete in buildings like these, for some reason I don't think they are. It sounded like someone was moving furniture at 7:00 in the morning on top of my head. Something is a little strange here. But overall my stay was very nice. Edgewater New Jersey has always been a great hub for vacationers and sightseers to the city there is plenty of Transportation to the city and plenty of things to see. Enjoy 😉

Hands down the worst place I’ve ever stayed! It smells like an old casino. The rooms are paper thin, you hear EVERY word your neighbor or the UPSTAIRS is saying or doing! I called the front desk all 4 nights I stayed about the person above me STOMPING and moving furniture from 10pm-3-4am EVERY NIGHT! I got the “we will call up there see if they can quiet down” of course nothing had been done, didn’t even bother to offer to move me rooms. Breakfast wasn’t included, parking was far. I would not recommend anyone staying here who prioritizes sleep or relaxation, you will not acquire it here!

First off the hotel was extremely clean and nice from the beginning. The room was excellent and comfortable. The staff was amazing. Especially Linna. She was extremely courteous and well spoken. We came up for my wife's birthday and she was awesome enough to not only comp our room, but comp our friends room too, just for her birthday. I highly recommend staying here when your in new jersey. Especially cause of Linna.

I recently stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott in Edgewater for an extended period due to an issue with my condo and wanted to express my gratitude to everyone for their kindness and hospitality. Everyone at the front desk was amazing! They were extremely helpful and personable. The rooms were extremely clean thanks to the hard work and attentiveness of housekeeping, who were equally courteous and friendly. The waitresses/bartenders at the bistro were awesome! I look forward to staying there again at some point in the future. :3

I requested a high floor, but never got it. The room was average and had some wear but it served our needs. The thing I didn't like was, I had a 2pm checkout and housekeeping was knocking on our door before at 1:40pm with an attitude saying it's time to get out...

Stay away from this hotel as they are out to squeeze as much money as possible. I stayed the wedding night here with the couple package which should have included champagne, breakfast and parking. Guess what… they tried to charge me for breakfast and parking separately. Moreover, i got a $150 charge as incidental damage. Apparently, if you have a few rose petal on the floor, that is considered as deep cleaning for them which would require excessive cleaning of $150. So you can imagine what their free of charge cleaning might be. Maybe after the guest leaves, all they do is fix the bed and not even change sheets because picking up few leaves is a bit deal for them worth $150 extra charge. They also said that the linen also had rose petals. So doing laundry by the staff is also extra fee. I will stick with Hilton and never ever go with Marriot again. Also, this didnt apply to me but they cant even have their staff come and clean the room everyday. This is one of the crappiest places I have been to. A motel would provide better service that this.

Love the size and cleaniness of the room. The young lady at the front desk is also nice and helpful to foreigners. We are still here for another week and hoping to have pleasant stay till we've checked out 🙂 The thing can be improved, some of the furnitures are bit out of balance, so the doors are not properly closed.

I recently hosted an event here for my family, we had roughly 50 people that attended the event and stayed at the hotel overnight. We had an amazing experience! We were hosting a Shabbat dinner/lunch, which has many religious restrictions, that the entire staff was more than accommodating with. Austin was the main point of contact, and made sure the entire event went smoothly! He truly made our experience memorable, and helped with everything from the planning of the event, to the actual setup and running of it as well. The rooms were great! We took roughly 20 rooms, and each one was in immaculate condition. Fawn and Nannette took over overseeing the event, when Austin's long and tireless shift finally ended, and they too carried amazing service to all of our guests. Antoine and Malik made sure everyone at the event had a fun time, by managing the bar. During the planning process, we also worked with Dee, who helped work with us regarding our dietary and other religious restrictions. The entire staff made this event a great success! Overall, it was a great experience! Would love to work with them again on an event in the near future!

Pretty average. Fairly disappointed in Marriott the last few years. Prices are high for what you get. Breakfast was awful and cost an extra $20. For a $400 1 night stay for two I would expect more. At least a decent breakfast.

I’d give this Courtyard by Marriott Edgewater NJ a sold 4.25 to 4.50 stars. Good location; free parking; very large, clean rooms. Extra kudos to “Pat” in the Lounge for really hustling to get all the drink and food orders taken care of. Nice to have a gym and pool. The folks at the front desk were nice enough; certainly not outgoing but that’s Jersey for you. I think part of it is the check in area, size and design. While the hotel feels roomy, the CHECKIN lobby is small and “in your face”. Frankly it doesn’t look very comfortable for the employees which probably sets them “on edge” a bit. (Tight space making the distance between the guest and employee a bit too close; very harsh lighting ). However, if I ever returned to Edgewater I’d consider staying at Courtyard by Marriott.

First time staying at this hotel and was an excellent experience. Rooms were well-kept and clean and staff members were very pleasant. Special thanks to Fabriel at the front desk when we checked late evening. Their systems were temporarily down; but he was pleasant and was efficient.

I have to give a 1 star for all simply because via every 3rd party site, the pictures of this hotel is as if it sits on the Hudson and therefore you have a view of the Manhattan Skyline (but you don’t) …. False and misleading….. the name “Edgewater” would have you assuming as much, but this hotel is surrounded by other buildings with no view of the New York City Skyline 🏙️ which was my primary reason for booking a room at this location… so if you want to sit on the Hudson, with a direct view of the City, don’t book this hotel!! I tried to get a refund after I realized I was misled by the name and pics, but it was too late, so I reluctantly stayed much to my chagrin. I’ll be booking at the Envue next time which gives you the view of NY City

DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOURE BLACK!! I would give them zero stars if I could..My family and I flew from Florida to New York only to be told by this hotel that they had overbooked..(although they booked a room while i was standing there) They put us in an uber and drove us almost an hour away from New York.. I felt like I had been kidnapped...This Was my grandsons 18th birthday that this hotel completely ruined because they shipped us so far from the city where we wanted to spend our time...Never have I've ever been treated like such trash...

Love the location although parking on the 3rd floor is a little inconvenient. It is a nice clean hotel otherwise. Staff is polite and accommodating and I've always enjoyed their breakfast.

We had company meetings here and the staff has been Super on point. From bar tending special koodos for Emily she has been quick and helpful with tips on how to enjoy this part of the city. Fawn and David at the front reception desk have been providing excellent service a d very kind. Our meetings have been running smooth and the staff has been checking in us frequently that helped us address things where they quickly assisted us and that has been superb 👌!!

We were driving from NC with a UHAUL to bring our daughter to college. While the hotel had very convenient parking, our UHAUL and truck would not fit. Fabriel and Fawn went way out of their way to help us solve our problem, including finding us a parking spot and even helped lift the UHAUL off the truck! They couldn't have been more helpful. Thank you! In addition to the great service, the hotel is well decorated and new, clean and a great location. Restaurants within walking distance and great views of the city right down the street.

I don’t usually do this but the stay that we had with you guys was horrendous. I first get checked in to a room on 219, it reeked of smoke. When I went to complain the staff assured me that it’s a non smoking hotel. I had a 8.5 month old with me. We had to switch rooms, which they tried to accommodate but the second room we got (404) didn’t have a pullout sofa bed like we had paid for. On top of all that we had to complain that the TV didn’t work in that room. Third, was the fire alarm at 1100pm. We were on the 4th floor and had to leave the hotel and wait over a half hour outside with my infant, whom I had put to bed earlier. It clearly was not a fire when we waited for a half hour outside to wait for the fire fighters to shut off the alarm. I will never stay with Marriott again, I’ve never experienced such a horrible stay. Your staff at the hotel was nice to say they were sorry about the stay and I did not want to complain to them because it is out of their control however I am extremely disappointed in such a large company that you guys are in 2023 to have the experience I had. I will unfortunately be posting my review on google also as people should be warned not to stay there. . I also reached out and all they said to me was we apologize for your experience. 0 out of 10 do not recommend them

Nice hotel Staff was very nice at check in, housekeeping speaking when they see you in the hallways. Rooms were spacious and clean. Area was very nice as well! 4 stars because we had to pay to park, I just believe it should be free if we are staying at your establishment.

It is 10:03pm at night. There're kids running in the hallway about 40 minutes now. Called the front desk but nothing happened. Water temperature is not stable, one day hot and one day cold. The price is low though so I guess I got what I paid for. In summary, I'll never come back again

Price okay. Rooms were clean. Location excellent. Did not ask if I wanted cleaning for 5 days stay unless asked.. Or was told to book cleaning a day before. 4th day water maintenance and toilet will not flush shower ran brown for while. Had to ask for additional shampoo rinse or lotion.

Loved this place. A big reason for this is the outstanding service provided by Mac and his team. Mac was super helpful when we checked in jet lagged and sleep deprived. He is always smiling, polite, kind, courteous and most importantly he is genuinely compassionate to the needs of family travellers. Thanks big Mac and team, for making this experience of dropping off our child to college an easy and fun experience.

We sadly made the mistake of booking at this hotel being no strangers to Edgewater. Let me tell you there are lots of options and you should search for the best one. This is convenient If you have a car, do Not mind getting a different room other than what you booked at the same price, want to be woken up by the river dance above you, love sleeping with all the comforters due to low temperature, and if you do not want anyone to help you. No need to try the manager Lisa there won't be a reply (cards of people will be at the front desk but will not help) Not close to the waterway if your here to get into NYC. Listed as the same price as most of Edgewater. Search for the right option. They all give military discounts which we did get , but considering we get the same at all the surrounding areas there's no difference. Good things: close to Sojo.

My husband and I were very pleased with our stay. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful. The decor is modern and fresh. Parking was a short walk away and covered. Our room was a nice size. Very clean. Flat screen tv. Small fridge and microwave. The beds and pillows were clean and comfortable. The room above us was loud, but settled down and didn't disturb our sleep. Very clean bathroom and large shower. The only complaint would be the low shower water pressure, but the water was nice and hot. Thick towels. The neighborhood around the hotel is great. A Dunkin right around the corner and a tasty pizza place nearby. Even a Home Goods store within walking distance. A short walk to the waterfront with a great view of Manhattan. My daughter goes to college in the city, and we will be making this our new place to stay for the next few years.

"I am a regular guest who often stays at this hotel for business trips. On this visit, I left my suit at the front desk for dry cleaning services. When I picked them up from the front desk after they were cleaned, I was very shocked to see that my pants were not on the hanger. I was extremely alarmed because it was the outfit I was planning to wear to an important meeting, and it was also a suit that I treasured very much. I was so startled that I ended up raising my voice to the front desk employees, Anadina and Lisa (GM). However, they were very calm and said, "The laundry staff is scheduled to come to the hotel soon to deliver some laundry, so we will check with them then. Don't worry too much." They reassured me with their professionalism and kindness until the very end, which was very impressive. What surprised me even more was when I found the pants that I thought were not in my laundry, and when I told them, they were very happy as if they had found their own clothes and congratulated me. I am sure that they are the greatest asset of your hotel and that they are the best employees.
