My recent stay at this hotel was underwhelming, primarily due to the frustrating hours of the swimming pool and barbecue area. The pool closed at an unreasonably early time of 5 pm, leaving little opportunity to relax after a busy day. Similarly, the barbecue area closed at 9 pm, limiting our ability to enjoy evening gatherings. The hotel was borderline acceptable and these restrictive hours greatly impacted our experience. I hope the management considers adjusting the timings to better accommodate guests needs and enhance their stay.

Don’t waste your time. This hotel we had stayed at multiple times in the past 6 years and never had an issue with using a specific credit card. Our recent stay they changed the policy but never notified us. So now we have to pay almost $200 for a night we weren’t allowed to stay at. NEVER AGAIN staying here!

Incredibly disreputable management. Called to cancel a room due to illness and reschedule for following month. Spoke to a gentleman that said that would be "no problem". Found the room charge on my credit card statement. Called the hotel and spoke to the Manager. She said sorry, there's nothing we can do. Ready to start a project in the area, have directed the team to use another hotel.

I thoroughly enjoyed staying here. I come into town often on business and I will now stay here when I do. The room was clean and my bathroom was very well lit - which is very important to me. The staff was friendly and they offered hot breakfast items which was appreciated. It was nice to have a sitting area separate from the bedroom so I didn't feel like I was in a hotel. The mini kitchen was a nice amenity and included a full size fridge, microwave, sink, dishes and silverware. It was quiet at night which was good. The mattress wasn't the best; it was okay. They don't have room service but I was easily able to get food through Uber Eats which was nice.

I needed to cancel a 1 night reservation that I had made on behalf of my colleague visiting from Japan. His plans were not solidified and he told me 12 hours after the official cancellation window closed that the price was too high for his corporate nightly allowance, and he was forced to find somewhere cheaper. When I called and explained the situation to the hotel, they were courteous BUT DIDNT HELP ME AT ALL! So I'm stuck footing the 205$ cancellation charge (the full cost of the night) out of my personal pocket for literally nothing. I can understand why a hotel has a policy like this, but their inflexibility given the circumstances means that I, as a traveling salesman will be avoiding Marriott. Thanks for nothing, I hope your corporate bonuses are sufficiently fat.

Do not recommend staying here. Booked a room expecting access to the hot tub, the listing in Marriott's app never mentioned it was an outdoor pool and hot tub and was already closed for the year. Was put in building 2 and all 4 room doors by me were coming off the hinges so you could hear every person coming in and out of their rooms. The room itself wasn't in bad shape, but clearly wasn't upgraded any time recently. The dishwasher leaked water when it was running, the floor towel had a stain on it at check-in (I used a different towel for the floor instead), the air conditioner was in the bedroom and was noisy so it woke me up every time the compressor turned on, and the AC completely died the morning I was checking out. There are other Marriott hotels nearby; I would recommend literally anywhere but here. I would have had a better night's sleep in the back seat of my truck. If anything, the benefits of having a suite here did not offset the price and I should have stayed at one of the cheaper options nearby.

The people working are so nice that I hate to leave a bad review but this is our 3rd time staying here in the past 2 years and things have deteriorated quickly. We will not be staying again. The rooms needs major renovation and they have a bug problem. Someone is going around febreezing the carpets, I really hope they’re getting them deep cleaned periodically but based on the faint smell of urine that never went away I’m guessing they’re not. Breakfast is good enough and the cleaning crew does a good job. It is the only place that has 2 bedrooms and 2 baths in the area so for a family of 5 it works well and affordable for long term stays. They have a whole new process for using the gym and swimming pool that it’s annoying.

The staff here is very friendly. The area is nice and conveniently located. My issue is with Marriott itself and the fact that they do not honor their prices. I called ahead of time to see if the military discount could be honored with just showing ID but when I arrived they said it could not be honored and I had to have orders to be there. So I was charged more than I agreed to. Very disappointed.

Very disappointed! My family and I have been staying at this Residence Inn for years, our most recent visit was a few weeks ago for a reunion. The hotels aesthetic is great, multiple buildings surrounded by trees. However, my interactions with the general manager was extremely disappointing. During a query I had about maintenance, I found the manager’s responses to be rather condescending and not reflective of any professional hospitality standards. For instance, when I expressed my concerns about some mold in the fitness center the response I received was dismissive and lacked the courtesy I expected from Highgate management associate. Unfortunately it was revealed by staff this is very common behavior by management, and reflects her general disposition with guests and staff.

It's a great place to stay, with a kitchen, 2 bedroom 2 bathroom suite, great for 2 couples or a family...they probably need to check the large appliances, oyr stove didn't work.. I made pies...fortunately we were able to send them home with our daughter to bake at her place...other than that, we had no issues, breakfast buffet was very good, very attentive staff, good food and coffee...

Great room. Had mini kitchen making it possible to cook our own meals. We did breakfast everyday. Very comfortable bed. Very clean. Nice country type setting surrounded by trees. Quite. Good service.

Was nervous to book after reading the negative reviews. However our experience staying here was great. The rooms were clean, including the public spaces and outdoor areas. The daily breakfast was excellent with many choices, both healthy and unhealthy. The staff was super friendly and professional. Loved all the outdoor areas you could walk around and enjoy during the good weather. Great location near the city. There were many restaurants and an Aldi within a five minute drive. Very safe area. Will definitely stay here again.

Perfect example of a Res Inn. Clean, spacious rooms with kitchen. Helpful lobby staff accustomed to long term stays and customer service. Snack/ drink pantry in lobby is sufficient. They allow pets. Room was incredibly clean. Didn't have the compliments breakfast so I cannot opine on that. Overall exactly what you would expect.

Room 1308 was dirty, not vacuumed, carpets worn out and filthy, bathrooms not clean, stove dirty and spiders in the bathrooms and ants crawling across the bed. Not to mention the king bedroom had no door to the main living area. When we canceled the rest of our stay the night manager could not understand why and wanted to argue. We are fighting to get a refund for days we canceled. Don't stay here! It is in desperate need of a renovation. Over all it is a smelly, disgusting hotel, save yourself the headache and book elsewhere.

Mold in the bathroom. We took pictures. Room not cleaned properly. Dust everywhere, toaster dirty, food left in the cabinets. Refrigerator bottom right damaged. Whole in the wall next to the door. Have a violation according to OSHA the door do not work properly. The pull out couch feels the springs. uncomfortable could not sleep properly. Bad stay for my birthday celebration. Missing rice pot and dinner plates. Best part was the breakfast and the cooking staff. Very good staff especially Brittany extremely helpful and welcoming. She make you feel welcome 🤗

I only gave the location a 4 because it took us 45-50 minutes to get to NYC but that was expected. The staff was amazing! We had a deadbolt and toilet issue within an hour that they immediately addressed. They gave us a great list of restaurants & stores that were within 1-2 miles & no freeway (score!). Parking at the hotel sucked b/c they were busy but it didn't hinder my stay.

one of the worst customer service experiences i have ever had. the day before checkout we received a late notice (3pm) via a note under our door, that water would be shut off in our building the next day. My wife and I were staying with our infant son and needed the water to bath him and mix formula so i requested that we terminate our stay a night early so we could move to another residence inn in weehawken. The property manager refused to let us out of the night stay despite the disruption in services because it was "after cleaning services were gone for the day" despite this being ILLEGAL according to NJ A6246 / S4295 which mandates that hotels communicate information about service disruptions "in all modifiable mediums in which the hotel advertises, solicits customers, or through which customers can book or reserve rooms or services," and that upon doing so, guests are permitted to terminate reservations without fee or penalty. The corporate response was also horrific. I brought this to the attention of the hotel and the corporate office and was basically sent on a wild goose chase and the case remains unresolved. i will be contacting their corporate office, dming them on linkedin, and posting to this to their social feeds. also, in addition to the management team being utterly incompetent, this hotel is dated and gross and smells like dog urine.

The residence Inn in saddle, River, New Jersey, is run down and disgusting. The breakfast food buffet is the lowest quality food a place could serve. The manager hides from talking and helping you with hotel issues. This hotel is the direst hotel I have ever stayed in. House cleaning crew doesn’t care about spreading germs from room to room using the same dirty mop in all rooms without using water, they just sprays the kitchen floors with a sticky spray and uses the same rag to wipe down the furniture. I saw them in action and called them out on it!!! I will never step foot in that germ infested hotel ever again!! Please look at other hotels.

The front desk clerks were extremely nice and helpful. Our room was very clean. Even the people we encountered were very nice. I highly recommend this hotel.

Was not overly impressed with property. Staff was very nice, very friendly, welcoming!! Room was on the older side-in desperate need of a make over /face lift, small ants on the wall by table, shower head falling off the wall, coffee and breakfast were on the colder side. Grounds could use some TLC. We are VERY big Marriott travelers-only staying in Marriott properties. We were disappointed.
