Buyers beware. I purchased a coin here which I was told had a unique tint to it. I paid spot price for silver plus a decent premium. Long story short, I went to sell the coin I purchased from here probably a year ago. Turns out it was made of bronze. Zero silver content at all. This place will take every measure possible to make sure what you are selling is authentic. I suggest to do your due diligence when purchasing from this location as well.

Went here today with my father's stamp collection. As we are not hobbyists ourselves, we appreciated how generous they were with their wealth of knowledge. They made us feel welcome the very moment we stepped into their store, although we had so many questions and were clearly out of our element with the collection we brought in. Although we did not make a sale, they welcomed us to come back with more of our father's stamps. They were honest with the value and we felt this place very definitely trustworthy.

They have coins and stamps galore, but also many other collectibles; beer steins, art, Grumman memorabilia and toy trucks just to name a few. It is a family owned business, and we had the pleasure of meeting with Richard. He carefully examined each item, explained what he was looking for and at, then assigned a value to each. American Coin and Stamp Brokerage is the best family owned collectible store in Nassau County. The owners and staff are honest, knowledgeable, courteous, and friendly. I have been collecting ancient coins for the past 10 years and I will only trust the authenticity of coins that come from their shop. Rich has an extensive knowledge of ancient coins and he taught me, not only about collecting them, but also about the history attached with each coin as well. Thanks to them, I have many rare coins that I would not have been able to find anywhere else including two that were documented for their rarity: a coin from emperor Titus that was documented as 1 of 3 known specimens and the other is a coin from emperor Hadrian from Roman Egypt and that has been the only one documented. They also have some very good early American coins from the late 1700s. Both Rich and Eric really take their time to go over everything that comes into the store to make their customers only receive the best material for any collection, and they really take their time to treat every customer with the utmost respect and dignity. I will continue doing business with ACSB and encourage anyone looking to start a collection to come to their store.

I stopped by last week to get information regarding a coin my father had saved for years. They both educated me quite a bit about my father's coin, and although it turned out to be a replica, it was a good lesson on the history of the coin. Eric & Rich are very nice guys & I have been going to their shop for roughly 8 to 10 years. They are fair to do business with & are the very opposite of the proprietors of the show Pawn Stars in Las Vegas who offer so little money for the items that people try to sell them that the show is painful to watch.

Went in to sell my Dad's stamp collection. I had no idea what the collection was worth and to be honest do not even know if I got a fair deal. However, I was ok with the outcome and the people were very nice. They were very knowledgeable about the material.

Just saw Richard today. Brought in a few sample coins of what I have about 6 boxes of. Even though he knew I was not selling them anytime soon he took a great interest and reviewed the coins with me. I went in for help with stamps and coins and the owner richard was so helpful. We have a lot of books and i know nothing on it so he was helpful it telling me exactly what to look for. I was looking for silver in a volatile currency market and was surprised to hear the latest upcharge fees. For anyone looking to purchase from here the people are nice but the prices are wild. Look up the value of silver gold or platinum before making your visit. Upcharges really shouldn't be excess 5%. And definitely not >25% Unless you just want to purchase because you want to own it, then don't expect to get any longer term gains. In that case, get a nice display holder and just use it as a decoration if that is your thing. No judgment here ! 😇🤐

I recently found several coins that my father must of collected throughout the years while cleaning out closets in my home.
