We used DISH for my 40th Birthday Party. It was perfect. Literally everyone complimented us on the food. It not only tasted good, but it was also really pretty! Evalyn was really thoughtful in helping me construct the menu and made sure we didn't run out (a fear of mine).

Dish was absolutely amazing to work with for our wedding! Beyond catering, Dish also coordinated all of our venue rentals, helping bring our tablescapes to life within a blank space. I do not know where I would have been without Michael’s help throughout our entire planning process! From acting as a sounding board from the beginning while chatting through budget and guest count, Michael was beyond helpful in working with us to understand exactly how we could achieve our dream hosting experience, while making great recommendations on best areas to scale back in order to stay within our budget without making any major sacrifices. Michael walked us through the rental showroom assisting with design recommendations all while keeping us in check on spend, in addition to hosting such a fun and intimate tasting experience leading up to our wedding. Dish’s amazing team knocked it out of the park on the big day, from the food and presentation to overall service and care for our guests throughout the entire evening. The best part is still having our guests rave about our food to this day – including our tray-passed espresso martini surprise-desserts, per Michael’s on-point recommendation. The arugula salads also were the stars of our tablescape photos!

We had an excellent experience with Dish! Michael was incredibly responsive and so calm in all the chaos involved in a wedding which gave us a ton of reassurance that everything was going to go well. Michael didn’t pressure us to go beyond our budget and provided excellent advice on aesthetics when it came to choosing our rentals from Broadway. Our table settings and decorations throughout the venue was set up even better than we could have imagined. If you have the pleasure to work with Michael, you can rest assure that everything will go swimmingly!! Our wedding went well because of the direction from this coordination team! The hor d’eourves were masterful. Every item chosen was memorable and delicious — the chicken and waffle cones and pork belly buns are to die for!!! The chef’s recommendations through and through were excellent. Overall, we would definitely recommend Dish Food to anyone for both their catering and event coordination services. You wont regret it!!

Dish was truly a dream to work with for our wedding. From our tasting through the day of, everything was seamless, beautiful and most importantly delicious! Evalyn, Kayla and everyone from the Dish team were truly amazing to work with. We had a handful of various food allergies & requirements that they accommodated with ease. From cocktail hour through dessert, our guests have been raving about our wedding food (and it was just as good as our tasting!) We had an excellent experience working with Dish Food & Events for our wedding. Heather Levine was our Day of Coordinator and helped us plan everything. From our very first phone conversation to the day of the wedding, she was always incredibly helpful, responsive, and went out of her way to make sure we were happy with everything. Due to the pandemic, we had to have our first tasting delivered to our home. Despite having to heat up the food ourselves, we were blown away by how delicious the food was. Luckily we were able to have our second tasting in person and had a great experience. On the wedding day, the Dish staff did an amazing job with the setup and catering service (cocktail hour, plated dinner, cake, and passed desserts). Many of our guests commented on how delicious the food was and how the whole event flowed seamlessly. We attribute a huge part of our successful wedding to Dish and our wonderful Day of Coordinator, Heather. Highly recommend!

The one thing my now-husband and I agreed on fairly quickly in the wedding planning process is that food was our top priority. We both come from different backgrounds and wanted a vendor that could blend our cultures and provide elevated food that reflected us. Dish happened at the most perfect time – we were at our very first venue open house with nothing planned thus far and met with Evalyn during the peak of the pandemic (July 2020). She was so warm and engaging and the food at the open house looked amazing (we had to take it home because, pandemic). We came home, warmed everything up and were BLOWN AWAY by how good everything was! We’ve been to many weddings over the years and wedding food is always so mediocre, so to meet the very first vendor that totally upends the stereotype was mind blowing to us. We kept Evalyn in mind as we made some other major wedding decisions (mostly our venue and planner) before getting back to her. Our planner has worked with Dish and Evalyn, so we knew we were in good hands. From our very first tasting of our custom fusion menu, we knew Dish was our caterer. We met with Evalyn and Ryan and were totally blown away by both the food and hospitality! We planned our wedding over the course of two years and Evalyn always graciously answered our questions even when our wedding seemed so far off. When the time came to make rental and food decisions, Evalyn was an expert at curating everything for us based on our tastes and making the whole process as easy as possible. When we asked for another tasting before making our final decisions, she made sure we were able to come in to make our decisions two weeks out. The day of the wedding, everything was beyond perfect! As soon as our ceremony was over, Evalyn had our signature cocktails ready for us. All of our guests were raving about the food, from cocktail hour to dinner, and the service. I am seriously not kidding, we are still getting people raving about the food weeks later. This was exactly what we wanted! A custom, fusion menu that reflected us as a couple but was also delicious and was not “typical” wedding food. More importantly, Evalyn and the Dish team were there for every minute of the journey and were BEYOND all of our expectations. I hope we have many more occasions in our futures where we can cater with Dish! We are so lucky to have worked with Dish and to have them knock out one of the most important elements of our wedding day.

DISH made our Thanksgiving meal at home memorable for all the right reasons this year. The food was perfection — simply but expertly prepared with high-quality ingredients. It was all packed thoughtfully and easy to serve. And the portions extremely generous: We had leftovers for days, and were able to pack plates to share with friends and family. I would recommend DISH for any event, personal or corporate. They are wonderful.

We were absolutely head over heels in love with Dish from the moment we had our first tasting! Evalyn worked with us to create a tasting menu that fit both of our appetites! We sadly fell victim to the pandemic and had to move our original wedding date, but Evalyn was there every step of the way. She was timely with communication, helpful and overall reassuring during a time of such uncertainty! Deciding to still have our wedding during a pandemic left us feeling like something may go wrong or that our who vision wouldn’t come to fruition. Fast forward to finally making it to our wedding day, Evalyn, along with Lauren, who were so lucky to have as our Day-of Coordinator, absolutely KILLED IT and made our dreams come true! Even though the day was a whirlwind, every touch and every taste was just what we had hoped they would be! While I know I will not be getting married again any time soon (haha), I hope I either have a reason to work with Dish again or have the opportunity attend an event they are catering and hosting! 20/10, would recommend to all friends (especially if you get to work with Evalyn and Lauren)!!

Our wedding day was absolutely perfect thanks to Michael, Alyson and the team at Dish! When our original 2020 wedding date was postponed due to COVID, we made the decision to pivot to a new venue where we could safely celebrate outside. This meant we needed to basically start over to find a caterer, rentals, coordinator - all 5 months before our big day. We came across Michael and the team at Dish (who came highly recommended from our new venue) and quite literally looked no further. From our initial phone conversation, we knew we would be in great hands. All communications were quick and thorough and Michael never had any issue answering our many questions. Our tasting in Brooklyn with Michael was great. Every bite was delicious - which made it harder to make decisions for our final menu. What we did decide on was amazing! Everything was a huge hit among of our guests, many let us know after the fact that it was the best food they ever had at a wedding. And I am still dreaming of the tuna poke lettuce cup from cocktail hour! One thing we had expressed concerns about was managing our open bar and any traffic or long waits to get a drink (as this had happened to us at other weddings). The bartenders were excellent and kept the drinks flowing and everyone VERY happy. We are both very detail-oriented perfectionists and had a very specific vision for the flow of our wedding day. We couldn't have felt more comfortable leaving everything to Michael and Alyson who truly executed everything flawlessly. They checked in and attended to us and our families while getting ready / throughout the wedding and made sure we always had a drink or food or really anything we needed. If you are considering adding on a Day-Of-Coordinator, do it! Alyson truly went above and beyond and was with us until the very last minute of the day. From re-applying lipstick, managing other vendors, packing up all of our belongings, and just generally keeping the party flow going - she did it all and it made a huge difference for us knowing she had everything under control. We can not say enough good things about Michael and the full team at Dish. You will absolutely not regret working with them. And we already wish we had another party to plan so we could work with them again!

Seamless ordering and delivery process. They took care of coordinating with the event venue, so it is one less thing for event organisers to worry about. Food is a bit on the pricey side, but seems standard for NYC.

We had a great corporate lunch with Dish Food & Events. The food was high quality and the boxed lunches were exactly what we were looking for. There was quite a lot of Quinoa provided though so make sure the team likes it if you add that to your box.

We love eating out. Yesterday we found this excellent restaurant which friends told us about. We spent a beautiful evening there with exceptional food and a professional stuff and an impressive cuisine. We put this fine restaurant in our list and we shall no doubt go again very soon. Highly recommended.

It's always a challenge to plan an event in another city. We had a small reception to organize in Brooklyn, and Dish came highly recommended. I know why now! The staff was exceptional and helped me plan the perfect menu. When we arrived the trays were beautiful, delicious and all the guests were impressed with the presentation. Definitely 5 stars, but I'd give Dish ten if I could.

Once I got to speak with Michael Guadagno for the first time on the phone, it was done. After researching and also speaking with many (and I mean MANY) catering companies, it was so refreshing to speak with someone who actually seemed to care about us as a couple, wanting to understand our story, more than "what's your budget, how many people, plated or buffet, etc." Michael asked questions and took the time to connect with us, and trust me, it's SO important to love the people that you'll be working with - Dish remained so accessible, accommodating, and professional from start to finish. Michael guided us with honest and helpful recommendations and advice. He was never pushy, genuinely cared about our concerns and questions, and allowed us to share with him our vision and he helped to execute everything on the day of flawlessly for all of our guests. And the food!!! We had SO many people come up to us on the day of our wedding raving about the food. And you know how they say on the day of the wedding, you're so busy you don't even remember what you ate or drank? Well, we remember the food and what we ate, because we ate everything, and we enjoyed everything on our plate thoroughly! Our wedding was at 501 Union in December of 2021. Dish catered our wedding at The Dumbo Loft and from day one to the final day of reflection after the wedding, we have nothing but positive things to say about the experience. We worked directly with Michael Guadagno and he was absolutely amazing through the entire process. Throwing a party in my house is fun, but it can also be somewhat stressful trying to figure out how to have the best experience for my guests... and for myself too! This year for my big birthday, I decided to turn to the pros, and I contacted Dish to cater this party in my home, and I couldn't be more pleased! I worked with Heather, who made the whole experience easy and fun, and I’m just so happy with how everything turned out. The food was insanely delicious, and the entire staff did an incredible job. They were all so warm and set the perfect tone for me and all of my guests. Heather helped me so much along the way in terms of the flow, what to communicate with my guests ahead of time, and she also brought flowers and candles to bring life into my home! I highly recommend the burrata bar - it looked gorgeous and was a huge hit!!

We hired dish for our wedding in June of 2022. Best. Decision. Ever. Everything was beyond amazing! The venue looked stunning, the food was bountiful, beautiful, and delicious. We recently used Dish for the first time for a work event and each component of their service was superlative. We received many unprompted compliments on the food, which was truly delicious. All staff were efficient, kind, and helpful to our guests. The Event Captain in particular was incredible. She met every request, offered helpful suggestions, and kept everything running smoothly. Dish Food & Events is THE BEST!!!! I will start by saying that I worked in the F&B industry for over 15years, had my own catering company and have worked at the biggest restaurants in NYC..including Tavern on the Green, Cafe Des Artistes, & Windows on the World. I saw several catering menus with standard fare and felt like maybe I would have to go straight to one of our favorite NYC restaurant and order large scale takeout to get EXACTLY what she and the family wanted! This I saw Dish Foods & Events... My daughter's Bat Mitzvah was a smash and Dish Food was a great part of that. The event went AMAZING and... The guest could not stop raving about the food!!!! The Taco Bar was as good as any nice restaurant and the Beef Birra had the longest line from here-say. And the appetizers did NOT disappoint too. The Cheese and Meat board exceptional, Skewers were marinated in the most heavenly way. AND no one had to worry about the vegetarians as the Spanakopita and all of the veggie entree items were WELL received and made a few meat eaters question why other places don't do veggies this well!!! And Heather!!!!... Thank you so much for all of your follow-up and just really beautifully executed food, bar none! This is where you go when you want AMAZINGLY catered food as good as any great NYC restaurant with LOADS of options to personalize your food journey specifically for you and your guests!! We traveled to NYC for Thanksgiving week and Dish provided our Thanksgiving meal. Everything was perfect! Michael provided outstanding customer service, everything was delivered on time with easy directions about heating and the food was amazing! The choices were varied enough to meet the needs of our 6 adults and 5 children, 4 of whom are vegetarians! The servings were plentiful, and we had wonderful leftovers for football that night and even the following day. I highly recommend using DISH for your family catering!

We worked with Evalyn and Kayla at Dish for our June 2023 wedding, and I cannot emphasize enough how impressed we were with their exceptional food and planning services. They went above and beyond to ensure a memorable experience for both us and our guests. With regular check-ins leading up to the wedding, as well as a detailed document laying out every aspect of our event, my husband and I were able to enjoy the wedding with our guests while Dish handled everything from food to coordination on the day. So many guests went out of their way to let us know how much they loved the food. Overall, I couldn't have asked for a better team to work with.

DISH provided the bar and food for a reception I organized with a modest budget. They worked closely with me to ensure that the event would be generous within the constraints of what I had to spend. The bar was ample, and the crudite, fruit and cheese from their pre-plated platters were delicious and tastefully presented. The bartender was terrific, and handled all the load in and clean up smoothly, while providing great service to our guests. Working with DISH made our event special and a breeze to put on.

I had THE BEST catering experience with Dish Food and Events, and especially appreciated the help and guidance of Event Director, Heather Levine. I hosted a “Petite Event” at the Prospect Picnic House on a Sunday evening. With this type of event, only “drop-off” catering is permitted and there is with limited time for set-up and breakdown. With 50-60 invitees arriving around dinner time, I was hard to imagine how it could all go smoothly; I was also worried that the “spread” would be substantial enough to meet the guests’ expectations. From the start, Heather was extremely helpful in planning the menu and provided expert advice on types of food offerings and quantities. She was also very accommodating in making adjustments to the menu as the scope of the event evolved. Every one of the guests (no exaggeration) commented on the deliciousness of the food and the beauty of the way it was presented. Music to a hostess’ ears, and all thanks to Dish and Heather! My catering package also included wine, beer and soft drinks, as well as the assistance of two catering staff - a captain and server. These entertaining decisions are two of the best I have ever made (again, with Heather’s help and advice). The drink package was very reasonably priced and excellent. And Dustin and Sam could not have been nicer or better in their respective roles. They really kept the party going, allowing me to enjoy it too. Thanks to Dish, Heather, Dustin and Sam, everyone had a great time (and that’s what it’s all about). I highly, recommend Dish Food and Events to anyone who wants to host an amazing event and have fun doing it.

I used Dish to cater our first shoot during the pandemic. I was anxious about feeding our crew safely while satisfying them with the delicious food they deserve while working under such unusual conditions. Dish exceeded my expectations. Evalyn, the event specialist, listened to all my concerns and needs before the shoot, and suggested a menu for each of the five days that had nearly every member of the crew compliment me on both the breakfast and the lunch choices. Dish showed up at the appointed time for all 10 meals, and had everything they needed with them each time (no missing napkins, bunsen burners, utensils etc). The crew members who had dietary restrictions were served fantastic food as well--there were no dreary "safe" meals. I love that my crew asked me if we would have the same caterer when we shoot again in April. I would recommend Dish to anyone who wants satisfying, inventive, delicious meals for a group of people. I wish they had a counter I could pick up individual meals in my neighborhood--they are that good!

The process of choosing a catering company for our wedding was no easy feat. We attended multiple tastings prior to Dish. Some companies presented delicious food but didn’t have the event coordination we sought; some had the coordination, but the food didn’t excite us; and some had neither. Dish was the last tasting on our schedule and who would have thought we really saved the best for last. My Husband doesn’t get excited about food, but after we left the tasting he could not stop talking about how amazing everything tastes. We were also impressed with Evalyn and felt very confident that she had what it took to plan an amazing event. From that moment on, we knew we found the perfect match. Our guests love the variety of hors d’oeuvres served during cocktail hour. The chicken and waffle cones along with the grilled cheese and tomato shooters were among the favorites. As for dinner, My Dad is currently trying to replicate the fish entrée. We also decided on “sweets to go” as favors and it included mini bread pudding, macaroons, s'more bites and other tasty treats. Guest are still raving about the sweets. The food at Dish speaks for itself, but we owe everything to our amazing Event Specialist, Evalyn and Day of Coordinator, Lauren. Planning a wedding during a pandemic with so much uncertainty was really difficult but knowing we chose a solid, reputable, professional Catering and Events company helped ease some of the anxiety. Multiple phone calls and constant email communication with Evalyn kept me motivated and kept me sane. My Husband cannot stop talking about how lucky we were to have Evalyn on our team; she gave us her opinion when we needed it and she was on top of every detail in the days leading up to the wedding. She even made suggestions about small details that would improve the guest experience at our venue. Our wedding was amazing and it was everything we wanted it to be. We loved having Evalyn and Lauren on our team. Having the two them with us on the wedding day felt like we were among friends who had our best interest at heart. I have no idea what went on behind they scenes and I’m happy about that. We cant wait to hire Dish for future events.

We worked with Dish for our outdoor wedding in NYC. They took all the necessary safety measures that were consistent with the state guidelines in terms of COVID-19. Often times, they actually went beyond the state guidelines to make sure everyone at the wedding would be safe. The food was absolutely amazing. We requested that our dinner menu have some Korean touch to it, and, oh man did they deliver. The drinks were fantastic too. Our guests could not stop raving about the food and drinks. Heather, the wedding coordinator we worked with, was also fantastic. She's a veteran in the wedding industry, and made sure every little detail about our wedding was taken care of. Planning a wedding had been an absolute nightmare during this pandemic, but Heather really made us feel confident that our special day would really be perfect.

Cooking thanksgiving dinner is one of my specialties. This year I was unable to cook and very leery of “bring in”. I was so thrilled with Dish. The entire dinner delicious especially the turkey itself which is not easily achieved especially when reheating. The amount of food was extremely generous also. Thank you to Ryan and his staff for making this thanksgiving a very festive and enjoyable holiday!!

I ordered a gift basket through Dish and not only were the items high quality and curated, they were very easy to work with. I was unable to enter their offices because of Covid restrictions but they were happy to arrange curbside pickup to keep everyone safe. The gift basket recipient loved everything and kept commenting how fresh everything was. Highly recommend checking out their gift baskets along with their catering!

Can't expect more! Delicious food and sensitive service. Fresh and high quality ingredients. Beautiful presentation. I especially loved generous fresh herbs for garnish Turkey. Rosemary, sage, thyme! Delivery came on time and person was nice.

Food was prepared and packaged for easy reheating with clear directions. Terrific meal and value! We ordered for 6 people and we could have easily fed twice that many! Dish Food & Events is the BEST!

We've hired them for many of our client's events; this holiday season we used their services for our own virtual holiday party, and they did not disappoint - delicious meals delivered all over New York City, and gift baskets shipped across the country. Having the same meal across area codes and states really made the virtual celebration feel like normal.

We had a wonderful experience using Dish for Thanksgiving dinner - the first family Thanksgiving in New York since the early 80s. It was easy to order, delivered on time, organized and efficient, easy to heat up, delicious, and everyone was so pleased. Evalyn was communicative every step of the way, which was really helpful. :) 10/10 would recommend.

Everyone that I worked with at Dish was exceptional - Their team was able to curate a menu that worked for a large party - which was daunting for me on my own. This was for a work event, with pretty [impossible] fussy eaters - and i've heard nothing but great feedback. They assisted in putting together a dinner that would work for a large group, but within my budget. Regarding costs everything was super transparent, and there were no surprises. On the night of the party, our server, Jessica was went above and beyond to keep the flow of service moving, and graciously helped to keep the presentation attractive.

Wow — amazing experience. We booked Dish to cater an in-home meal for my husband’s birthday, and it was a dream. Easy to plan, with a nice array of appealing menu choices. On the day of the dinner, Ed and Jess arrived two hours before our guests to prepare the food and our dining table. They were a delight to have in our home, and I didn’t even mention the amazing food yet! Every dish was superbly prepared and presented, and every bite delicious. Our friends had a wonderful time, and it was a relaxed and easy evening for me. Such a treat to entertain friends and get to totally focus on being with them instead of cooking, serving and cleaning up. We’ll definitely have them back!

Working with Evalyn, Cortney, and the team at Dish was a truly incomparable experience! I had the pleasure of getting to know Dish a few years back at my first job and had told my contact at the time, Bonnie, that I would definitely be back when it was time for me to host my big event - my wedding. After reconnecting with the Dish team, in particular speaking with Evalyn, we couldn't have felt more confident that it was the right fit for our big day. From the personalized menu, to the in house tasting, and the amazing day of coordinator, Cortney, the most important and expensive party we ever threw (and likely ever will) was in the best hands. When any changes or adjustments came up the team was eager to help make our vision come to life. A few weeks before when I wanted to do another itinerary run through, Cortney, was not just game, but so enthusiastic and supportive. As small things came up day of, Evalyn and Cortney were on it and as we were packing up, the whole Dish team helped us pack up and carry out our numerous flower arrangements. We truly couldn't have pulled this off without Dish and are so grateful for their partnership. Thank you, Dish!

The delivery was on time and as scheduled. The delivery staff were professional as well. My guests raved on how good the turkey tasted. We love the corn pudding and the kale salad. The apple pie was perfect, not so sweet, just about right. Overall, from when I started my enquiry until i submitted my order, it was flawless. I will definitely order from DishFood again.

I can not rave about this place enough! The staff is so friendly, professional, and accommodating. Everyone I worked there on their team was absolutely wonderful and the food was delicious! We had an all vegan menu and it phenomenal. They truly went above and beyond the day of the event as well, helping me set up and tear down. Simply the best!

We had an office holiday party which turned out great thanks to Evalyn and her team. I can’t begin to express my sincerest thanks to the entire staff working the event. We catered our holiday party with Dish Food this year, after many years of catering from elsewhere. We just wanted to change it up a bit but also we were looking to accommodate the many different dietary styles of our staff. Dish Food & Events did a fantastic job not only catering our wedding, but coordinating too. The day was absolutely perfect, not a single issue/hiccup (as far as we could tell!) and we were so incredibly happy the whole night. Our wedding was just a week or two before the pandemic hit NY, so we feel so lucky to have been able to celebrate, and the day was so incredibly memorable mostly thanks to Michael, Cortney and their incredible team. Our friends and family still talk about how delicious the food was (the late night grilled cheese snack was a HUGE hit) and we were able to taste it all, even the appetizers, because they went out of their way to make sure we were able to taste everything! We were able to eat at our own wedding… incredible! Michael made the entire process very smooth… the tasting, picking the menu, deciding on décor, coordinating with vendors, and he did it all with just the right amount of guidance. Planning the wedding was virtually stress free, and he brought our vision to life perfectly! We were so happy that he had so much experience working with The Foundry, he knew exactly what we needed, who to talk to, and what to do. We couldn’t have asked for a better point person… all his suggestions were great. Cortney was enormously helpful with day-of coordination. So sweet, knowledgeable, and helpful. We’re so thankful she was there to help out throughout the day and night. We’re so happy Dish catered our wedding. It was a perfect evening and everything tasted incredible! Highly recommended!

It is truly a joy to work with DISH - and I've now done so both professionally and personally. They are professional and polished, but in a way that feels like you are working with your most organized and creative friend, and not in a stand-offish way. The food is delicious and executed perfectly, the drinks are always amazing and the service is top-notch. They are my first and last call, whenever possible, and I highly recommend them for your next event - big or small!

Dish catered a professional conference for us, providing breakfast, lunch and snacks. I loved working with them! Extremely communicative and easy, and worked well with our budget. Not only was the food tasty but the team at Dish really know their stuff. Everyone from sales to our onsite Captain was a joy to work with. We selected Dish for bartending and food service. It was refreshing to work with a team that took pride in their service. They came, set up, serviced and cleared the space without a single hiccup. Even was able to serve beverages to a few of our early arrivals. Many of our guests gave feedback on how awesome the food was and how nice the staff was in attending to their needs.
