Houlihan's is always an awesome experience. It's been my favorite place to eat at for years because the food is consistently delicious. The Ultimate Nachos are a perfect size to share for my family of 5 and are delicious. Their cheeseburgers are the juiciest and best tasting burgers of any restaurant I've dined at. Their Kamikaze Brownie Sundae is to die for. My family enjoys their meal and leaves here satisfied by pretty much every time. The staff here is usually very good and friendly. Most of the time they check tables reguarly and notice if we need refills or plates taken away from us. When we have had a few negative experiences with waiters/waitresses over the years (which is rare) the managers are professional and make sure we are satisfied by the time we head out. The only critique I have about this place is that ever since the pandemic I've noticed their menu getting smaller, their portion sizes for certain items get smaller, and their prices get more expensive. All in all, still well worth the money. You will enjoy and love your meal. We will be back.

Amazing service. Food was phenomenal. Ordered something to take home as well. Calamari was great and large portion. Service was great and attentive. Great to see managers walking around checking on people. Robin and Alfredo are always helping there staff which is great to see when places are so short staffed now a days.

I spent $17.99 and I think the scallops are small not even worth $5 and the rice they could have piled that on at least to fill you up since rice is inexpensive. What a joke this is like a $10 appetizer won't be going back there. I am very very dissatisfied with this portion and they call it an Entree SMH

Went here after much debate about where to have dinner after a busy day. We were seated at a booth that was sticky (not dirty). Had to ask the waitress for napkins and plates when our appetizers arrived. Is this the future of restaurant eating? We shouldn't have to ask for utensils and napkins. They should already be on the table. Hoping the main course is tasty. I think I'll cook at home from now on.

Nice place in Hazlet, there was no line even though it was fairly busy. The food was the draw here excellent overall full of flavors and very tasty. The Prime Rib was an excellent cut cooked to perfection. The Salmon was served with delicious roasted garlic and tasty mashed potatoes.

Great, fresh food- warm friendly staff. The Bayonne New Jersey Hoolie has been my second kitchen since it opened. My friends and I go there 2 to 3 times a week.

Both my husband and I had burgers the other day and were absolutely blown away. They were everything that a burger should be and then some. We love going there.

This place has some vile business practices, and the manager was completely unprofessional, storming off in a huff when I called him out on it. They were having trouble with their computers and couldn't print the check or charge my card. Fine, technical difficulties happen. They restarted the system and it crashed again. Whatever. I let them know that they could take down my information and call me for payment when their system was back up, as I had places to be. The waitress informed me that she can't do that, and that if I leave without paying then *she would be held personally financially liable*. Excuse me? Don't worry, I did pay before leaving, because I'm not going to strand someone like that. But when I told the manager that this was a disgusting practice (and maybe told him that he's scum for enforcing it, but really, it's true), he stormed off without another word to me. If a customer steals from a business, then the business needs to take ownership of that loss. It sucks; it's a bad situation; the customer should be held liable if possible, all that. But the idea that an EMPLOYEE could be held FINANCIALLY RESPONSIBLE is VILE. I can't even believe that such a policy is legal. Houlihan's, you are despicable.

It's been a long time, since I've been to a Houlihan's. I forgot about the 'shrooms. I used to love those and ordered them again. They didn't disappoint. Our bartender was also great. 👌

My wife and I stopped in for a chicken Caesar salad and an ahi tuna salad. The restaurant was not very busy for a Sunday evening, we waited almost 45 minutes for our salads. We had to track down the manager Alfredo to check on our food. He almost immediately brought out our food, delivered it and never came back to see if things were good. Also, server Joey apparently forgot to put the order in and nothing was said or done about it. He did apologize for the delay but was not a pleasant experience.

We were seated pretty quickly. Server was attentive. Food for everyone else was good. Mine was overcooked and dry.

Very excellent food and service. The calamari was very crispy and crunchy, and the sauces complimented it very well. The Buffalo chicken sandwich was good as well.

We waited to get a table like 30 min. Or more i think 🤔, food for everyone didn't come at the same time , staff was very friendly and helpful, moderate prices .

It was just the worst experience I ever had at a Houlihans . The food tasted like it was frozen or it was sitting all day . Good wasn't good . Mgr deducted money off the bill but I must say it was a real bad experience . I always enjoyed dining at houlihans in Secaucus and Holmdel. I dined at the restaurant on Route 5 easy Paramus . Have been there numerous times and sit in bar area! If u get there early enough you will have Joe serving drinks and taking orders. Man is continually on the go to keep you Happy!

I have 5 stars for the food because what you order is delicious. My issue though is there aren't very many, like 2-3 really healthy low calorie options. Those are more expensive too. Need to add a healthy, lower calorie portion or at least options.

Was very crowded and busy so I guess that's why the service was not as good. Food was out quick and was not as good as I remember it being in the past. My daughter got the chicken Parm and couldn't eat it. Said it tasted funny, like seafood. Apps were good and tasty. Overall just OK.

Great service! Server Ryan deserves a raise! Great people skills and service. Food was really good as always! One of my go to places to order from. Will continue to do so.

Food was good as always, love their nachos. Service was a bit slow though, with my wife and I waiting longer than expected. Can’t really judge if they were ‘busy’ or not since restaurants are notoriously understaffed these days, but it was a little too long in my opinion. It was also freezing, which was a relief for the first few minutes after standing outside In the heat, but became uncomfortable very quickly. Overall, I recommend bringing a jacket and to be patient.

My wife and I enjoyed the meal, and the service was great! It was on a Thursday. Started off with calamari. My wife of 52 years had Lemon Chicken and I had Shrimp Pasta. Both meals were very tasty. A good time for us.

My mother and I ate there this evening. The service started out well but gradually became poor. The food was good. However, when we asked for some paper napkins, we got 4, which is not many. Obviously, they were carefully counted. At the end of the meal, we ordered dessert and coffee. Mom's decaffeinated coffee arrived in a cool cup and was tepid . (Mine, which was regular, was hot.) She pointed this out to the waiter, who said he would replace it, but then he got busy with other tables, so then she just ate her dessert without the coffee, figuring she would have it removed from the bill. She was not happy. He was gone a long time before our check was picked up. She mentioned to him again about the cold coffee and he offered to replace it, but it was very late, and she told him we wanted to go home so she could watch the Yankees game. Why should she wait for coffee long after the dessert? We did not tip him, which is very unusual for us. The other thing we noticed was that there were several young women standing around, not doing much while our waiter was covering all these tables. Was anybody in charge? We didn't see a manager around.

We used the birthday coupon. My husband had filet mignonette and I had scallops and risotto. Both meals were great! The steak was better than the other steak chain and the scallops were comparable to a seafood restaurant. And the server was wonderful! We will definitely be eating here again.

Great service. Quick service. And the food was very good. We ordered your basic food comfort food, pot roast, meatloaf, French dip but the presentation was appealing, the beef was perfect, the green beans tasted fresh, and the mashed potatoes were very flavorful. All this and the price was quite reasonable. Definitely will be back.
