While doing a book tour in the area I stayed at a hotel close to this coffee shop and it was so great I went there 3 out of the 4 mornings I was here. The coffee and breakfasts were great, nice atmosphere great service. My uncle was with me each time and we were able to sit for hours each morning to plan our days while enjoying their great coffee cup after cup - I really love this place and wish I had a coffee shop life this where I live. I will go back anytime I'm staying in downtown south bend.

I am not from Indiana but come to the area often, and have recently been checking out all local coffee shops. This one is by far my favorite. The customer service was great and friendly. The atmosphere in the building and the overall theme was awesome. I am a huge connoisseur of coffee and have been to 20+ coffee shops and the coffee alone blew my mind and is very unique flavor wise, even if you get a basic flavor like white chocolate.

Aesthetic but relaxing atmosphere. Real food, baked goods, coffee, tea, and cocktails available. 85¢ upcharge for plant-based milks.

Now, this is some next level stuff right here. First the place is so cool. It's modern with a rock and roll vibe. The food is awesome. I'm partial to the eggs Benedict. The BOWL OF SOUL coffee is a must try. I get it every time.

This place is really nice. There was one person working at the counter and she was doing an amazing job with people. The drinks we got were excellent. She even created something for my kiddo and he loved it. They have a liquor license. Which I found interesting for what Google told me was a coffee shop so they have drinks that are more interesting than your regular place. Thank you!

Honestly I can say I'm as disappointed as my Mom was when my sister told her she was pregnant. Been here many times, thought it was my new "good vibes place" after today's visit, I have changed my tune. I started off with complimenting the girl with glasses and recently lightened hair, she then proceeded to take my order barely, when I changed my mind as to what type of drink I wanted she rolled her eyes and was huffing under her breath. I went out of my way to be nice and she made me think twice. I am very disappointed in this establishment and will not be recommending this place anymore. Thank you and have a nice day.

Three of us came into the shop for lunch at 1pm. Two ordered, then we were told the third person couldn’t order because food service was done for the day. Who does that???! HA! The owner's response! Nowhere in the shop does it say the kitchen closes at 1pm (a normal time to have lunch) nor does that excuse letting two people in one party order lunch and then telling the third the kitchen is closed. Ludicrous. Go elsewhere.

Great place to meet friends and chat. Good coffee and baked goods. Geared for adults. No accommodations for small children. Very clean and staff is efficient and professional.

Great little coffee place with a music theme. Very nice that it opens fairly easy too. Got a fall pumpkin coffee and breakfast, service was very quick and the food was good as well.

I loved this place when it first opened. Coffee, atmosphere and staff were great. I was like this is a place I could hang out. I am not a frequent visitor and it’s a treat when I’m in town to go. Fast forward the last two times I have been there July and Oct the staff have been very unfriendly. No smiles, no greeting you, they just stare at you until you order. :(. Coffee was still great but just makes me not want to go in there anymore.

Best coffee in south bend as a resident of the city for 35 years. In addition, they have Wonderful business and great service. I asked them to open early for my daughters wedding so we could have their coffee early in the morning and they happily obliged. I would highly recommend to anyone!

Favorite coffee shop in South Bend - my wife and I love to pull up and work on grad school with a warm Cocoa Blanco on the table. However, recently the staff seem to be inconvenienced to take your order, and they close the kitchen inordinately early on Saturdays. They're open till 3, but I've tried to order a sandwich (their club is amazing!) At 1 and I'm told the kitchen is closed.

Love coming to Java for my coffee! I can't wait to try their Peppermint Mocha and new baked goods. The staff is always nice, friendly and accommodating!

Wonderful coffee shop in DTSB. The entire space is stunning and very inviting. Everyone was super nice and helpful and the coffee and baked goods were excellent. Will definitely be going back!
