The Waukegan location on Greenbay and Sunset use to be great. The food was good, the staff was friendly and the establishment was clean. Now the staff in there is nothin but rude kids, food not as good as it use to be. And omg so dirty. Bathrooms are filthy the floors are sticky, the tables and chairs were dirty and sticky. What happened here. Where is the old staff from a few years ago. Extremely disappointed.

Cheesesteak is always so tasty. That sauce they use really hits the spot. Always offer cheesecake samples. They should light up the merchandise display because it is under the counter and not very noticeable. Your staff is great and work very hard. Music needs to be less loud, please.

Staff is always friendly, the sandwiches are juicy and succulent. The sandwiches are made with lots of love. My husband makes fun of me because while he gets the steak sandwich with cheddar, I'm getting a chicken deluxe with provolone. Don't forget to create ur own cheese cake.

Came for lunch today and ordered cheesesteak sandwiches and fries.This restaurant is not clean at all.I got bad vibes just walking in the door.Food also so-so a very best.Loud music playing while Nats fly around your food.I will not be back!!

Terrible customer service from the cook he/she was very rude. I paid for extra cheese and the cook got upset when I asked for more. I even stated I will pay for the charge. When I got home I received the incorrect cheesesteak sandwich, I paid for the one with that works and I received the regular one. The food was extremely salted, which I think was purposely done by the cook. I was not able to eat my food due to the cook purposely over seasoning my food. I’m 6 months pregnant and I have to watch my sodium intake. I’m really upset, I feel like my order was purposely over salted and I was giving the incorrect sandwich that cost less then what I paid for. All because the cook was upset I asked for more cheese on my nachos that I was willing to pay for.

Pretty good little place, friendly people, and fast service. It was pretty tasty, I went with the “chicken works” cheesesteak sandwich. The chicken was a little bit too salty in my opinion, so next time I’d probably tell them to not add any extra salt. Otherwise pretty good. I didn’t try any of the cheesecake though.

I had the king philly chicken and steak. It was delicious, flavorful and juicy, and there's like a dozen different cheeses to choose from to top it with. The fries are seasoned and crispy. And the sandwich was massive, easily two meals for me.

Music was way to loud, could not order food without yelling your order which you had to say a few times. Then they got our order wrong and we had a long wait for our other sandwiches to be replaced. 45 minutes to be exact. The price was way up there, $27.00 for two sandwiches and a small cheese cake, no fries, no drinks. Sorry. On the plus side it was very clean

Just left here not too long ago highly upset. I wanted some good lunch today so I decided to do a pick up for door dash instead of getting it delivered… it’s my off day. So when I went to pick up my food. The lady who I believe she said she was the owner Veronica tells me some lady just put her phone up and picked up my order. Don’t get me wrong, I understand things happen but, the least should could have done was actually looked at my phone see what time I ordered, what location and made it for me. I am a paying customer who she made to feel like a criminal. I’ll never come back there. Didn’t even have to waste my time to drive that way.

Wow! Driving by here many time and finally stopped in. For those doing the same, your missing out. I got just the Philly steak n cheese. Mouth watering. Doesn't look the prettiest but then again all I got on it was cheese n onions. And it was still delicious!! Every bite!! I can't wait to try the deserts! Bomb Phillys though!

CYOC has always been a great place to eat. Tonight, we went to the Waukegan location. There was no ice in the drink machine. No napkins and no paper towels in the bathroom. The sandwiches were great and the fries good. The drink machine had one spout not working (that's better than the N.C. one which has multiple broken ones or just out of stock). It's sad that the Fox Lake one closed and I fear that maybe this might be a sign of possible futures for the two remaining. I hope not because they make great food.

The food is amazing. Hands down. My issue is that we’ve been here twice, and both times there’s been something wrong with our orders. First time we said only one cheese fries, they put cheese on both orders. (I’m lactose intolerant). Second time my husband paid for cheese fry upgrade for his and they didn’t add the cheese. Our orders aren’t even complicated. Wish it didn’t keep being an issue, because the taste of the food is great. Just hope they pay better attention moving forward.

CYOC is simply the best! My wife and I live in Fox Lake, so we were regulars at that location, but now that it's closed down, we make the drive to Waukegan because it's just that good and the staff is incredible. I had been on the waiting list for their seasoning(also the best), so I asked the woman here if they had any to sell, and she said they didn't, but then proceeded to go in the back and fill up an entire cheesecake container with seasoning FOR FREE. Like I said, the staff has always been top notch. If the wonderful woman that helped me sees this, please know that my wife is going to absolutely lose her mind when I bring this seasoning home! If you've been on the fence about trying them, don't wait, just go.

I found the Fox Lake location on google.....it was closed with no indication online. We ended up driving 40 minutes to the Waukegan location, and I'm glad we did. The food was great. I had a cheesesteak with peppers and onions. It was really good. Melty cheese with perfectly cooked meat and veggies. The fries were also amazing. They were perfectly crispy on the outside while being nice and tender on the inside. They also were perfectly seasoned. The cheesecake was also good. I wouldn't quite call it cheesecake, but it was delicious all the same. The only negative thing I have to say is their menu lacks detail. They have many different menu options for cheesesteak sandwiches, but no detail on what diferentes one from another. My boyfriend ordered one and was asked if he wanted everything on it, and it came with iceberg, tomatoes, a whole pickle spear, and other toppings. That's not quite what he was looking for, but there was nothing on the menu indicating what each menu item included.

They haven't fixed their menu options on doordash for the longest. You can only pick ONE topping on the sandwiches off doordash. I would order from here more often but I want more than just one topping on my sandwich.

Passed this place for years and never stopped in. Today we decided to give it a try and we were not disappointed. Cheesesteak and fries were fresh, hot and delicious. As authentic as you can get in northern Illinois. Will definitely go back soon.

Just had a chicken Philly from there, as I was eating it I noticed something hard and it was a small piece of plastic. I called up there and of course no manager there just a bunch kids working. Fries were super cold as well, this will be the last time I eat there. Please hire adults because these kids will run tour business in the ground.

I can only speak to the kids' chicken tenders meal, as that's all we ordered, but they impressed me enough to write a review. They were made with fresh chicken and hand-battered. They were an amazing bargain for the price. Service was top-notch, too.

With all honesty, the food was better than what I expected. I got the Philly cheesesteak fries and this meal was rich in flavor. Fries were seasoned to perfection. They use quality steak! Veggies and cheese was fresh. Will be back.

I decided I wanted to try this location. On a Tuesday evening about five p.m. This location was really clean. The young lady that took my order was very nice and patient. I didn’t know what I wanted. I decided to try the Chicken Philly Cheesesteak Supreme combo meal. It was kind of expensive but it was so worth it. Cooked fresh to order, plenty of French fries and a Dr. Pepper.

The worst experience I’ve ever had. The lady didn’t know how to work the computer, the carbonation was out on their pop machine so you could only drink water, I had asked for no cheese on my sandwich and they gave me a sandwich that had zero flavor and no sauce on it. I normally love going there but now I won’t go back after that experience today.

This place is unique! Both signature items were great. The cheesecake is like nothing I've had before, super unique - really really good.

Delicious but also Sodium enriched! 1st time ordering here, got the Philly Nachos and the Philly Cheestesteak! First off, the cheesesteak texture, unmatched! Bravo it is a treat! The Nachos were also a delicacy! My only complaint pushing me from a 5 Star review is the sodium. I am a sodium Man myself and I’ve cut back a lot since my last PCM visit. So if a Man that loves salty foods as much as myself says wow this is pretty salty.. it is a rarity. Again both dishes superb but my only suggestion, cut back the salt just a tad and i guarantee your orders will increase! The Nachos, tasty as they were, were so salty I couldn’t taste the 3 different cheeses I had added on them, just the salt. All in all, a solid buy and I would gladly order again from here! 👍🏾 🍴

So I went here last Sunday excited to try a new place because I’m new to the area and my family loves eating out. I normally don’t write reviews but I feel like people should know this place is dirty. Me and my son walk in and place our order for our Philly’s, then I ask for advice on the cheesecake since it’s my first time there. The cashier says she’s new and doesn’t know much which is fine so I Slide Over to the cheesecakes to take a look and what is crawling all over the cheesecake “ROACHES”. I point them out to the cashier and tell her to cancel the order and it looked like she couldn’t understand why I was walking out smh.

I used to worry about the employees losing their jobs to self checkout. NOW I think it's a better option because the nasty attitude and rude manners of the register lady has to stop. No customers spending money here should be spoken to in a rude manner...all I wanted to do was pay for my items.

Tried this today for the first time, very tasty! Fries are seasoned well, the chicken deluxe Philly was more food than anticipated, definitely a good value. The cheese cake is delicious too, I thought with so many flavors it might be too generic but it was great. Only downside is it was a long wait for delivery (45 minutes at lunch time), but it's a 5 minute drive so I just picked up.

This place never disappoints. I drive an hour to introduce and share this great food with my friends. They were really impressed by the sandwiches as was I. I must say this is the best cheese steaks I've had, and I've had authentic Philly's. Keep it up!!

We used to love CYOC when we lived in the area. We came back to visit, and stopped by for a buffalo chicken cheese steak, which was still awesome. Unfortunately, the restaurant has no cheesecake, no no explanation. It's in the name guys...
