I was craving pancakes 🥞 or French toast. Dennys took forever so my family and I were recommended to come here. It was the best decision we made that day! Straight to the point. Easy menu. Awesome waitress. Good energy. Smiling. My hunger was eased thanks to you all. Very good food at an affordable price.

Service was very good and the staff was very friendly. The food, however, was very disappointing. We ordered the steak skillets and some of the skillet was hot and some cold. The meat had a very odd taste as well. The toast and jam was very good, as was the coffee. It was definitely not worth $52 for the skillets we barely ate.

Emily's Pancake House made my week! Unfortunately, my husband couldn't be there for my birthday because of his work schedule. So he made it up to me by ordering from Emily's and bringing it home. Their pick up service is great. They told my husband it was only 5 min to pick up. The order was exactly how my husband ordered it. The food was hot and fresh when I got it. They even threw in some syrup and butter for the pancakes. The food is so amazing! Delicious flavor in every bite of the avocado skillet. And these are the best pancakes I've tried in such a long time. Fluffy and perfectly cooked. I can't wait to order more food. But now my belly is happy and full, so I need a nap now.

You’re better off going to the other Emilys on Sheridan Rd. The staff is rude, today I went in and they only had one waitress helping out all the tables and this obviously must have been the reason for her attitude & extreme delay. They messed up our order and it’s as if the waitress was trying to not acknowledge me but only my gf because when the food came out they forgot my plate and I had to wait for it to be made. Found an eggshell on the eggs, and to top it off they messed up the receipt and we got charged twice. Go to Emilys on Beach Park the food is better & customer service is slightly better as well.

I just received my order via uber eats. A create your own omelet with mushrooms, onions, bacon and turkey sausage and a side order of ham off the bone. To start, the eggs and turkey sausage were VERY overcooked. To the point of being dry and leathery. Next, and the most disturbing part, the ham had an extremely repulsive smell of either being expired or kept improperly before cooking. I have reported these issues to uber eats and I strongly suggest that this restaurant figure out why their cooks are unable to know the difference between fresh and rotten meat.

This was my 1st visit. Our server was Natalie. She was very attentive, fast, and friendly. The food was awesome and affordable. I'll be back again. This location once was Emily's Pancake House.

Food was nothing special and for the price I paid, my order should have been correct. I asked for scrambled eggs with cheddar on my steak skillet. They put shredded cheddar cheese on top of the hash browns and American cheese in the eggs. I dislike American cheese it is disgusting, which is why I didn’t ask for it. When I arrived to pick up my food it was obvious they were having issues with orders. They looked confused and frazzled. They’re food has always been just ok I thought with the name change they may have been under new management and operating differently. Clearly not. Waste of time and money. I am officially not interested in dining with them anymore.

Lots of Good food! Customer service is excellent, food is superb. It can be a little pricy but totally worth imo

Great food - always fresh! Order two eggs and you get more. What in older times some restaurants called double yolk eggs. Friendly Staff. Clean, open eating areas. They are one of the best values in the area!

This place used to be Emily's but the new owners are continuing to serve great food. Portions are large and well worth the price. Had the Country Fried Steak, 2 eggs(looked like 4) and the red skinned potatoes plus toast. Had to take the potatoes home because of all the other food. Very friendly staff will definitely be back.

As soon as we walked in we were greeted with a friendly smile. Our waitress was very attentive & knew the menu very well. She suggested something new & it was absolutely delicious. Will be back for the food and the great service.

It was my first time coming here and omg. the food was simply 10/10. The mini waffles were a decent size and they were honestly the best waffles I've ever bitten into. They were so soft and full of flavor. I also order a BLT sandwich which came with fries and the fries were so crispy the crunch was so good. The sandwich itself was really good too. Definitely coming back again and I already recommend to many people!

Most amazing Birria Skillet EVER!! You gotta try this. The picture doesn't do justice, but man was it amazing! The serving size it's GREAT as well!

Visiting from Schaumburg and decided to eat at Carmen's ! The Birria dishes were amazing. Salsa and food was Authentic which is hard to find now days for breakfast. Best breakfast ever!!! . And a friendly staff to top it off. Thank you Liz for serving and welcoming us😉

Carmen's Pancake House had great service and delicious food! We got a table right away and the server was really helpful explaining the menu and the specials! I had the avocado skillet with pancakes, and my sibling loved the mini waffles and their birra skillet. It was all delicious and great customer service!

Food and service are decent. Big serving of soup. My new go to place after Sunday church .

Started coming here some time ago and then the owner changed and now it's Carmen's Pancake House--always AMAZING customer service but even better now with American AND Mexican-friendly recipes like birria! Very good food and prices, i always end up leavig with a box cause they give alot of food!

I eat Emily's garbage plate any day! ,🤤 Added cheesy grits to the side .. Such a good portion and cooked perfectly! Martha was a great server! The 🥞 were ON 👉🏿!!!!

Emily's Pancake House is my favorite go to breakfast/lunch spot! I always take my out of town guests here! It's just nice knowing you get good food and a good atmosphere every time!

We are in from out of town and stopped by because they could accommodate our party of 10. What a great choice. I had the carnitas omelette with red skin potatoes and a side order of biscuit and gravy. Our server Tarah was amazing. She was on point and very sweet. If I’m ever out this way again, I’m coming back. If you live around here or visiting…make your way here, you won’t be upset.

Really good food! Staff are very nice. In the month I am been in the area I have had a few horrible experiences. This place has been consistently amazing. I have returned now 7 times and this play is hands down one of the best in the area

Recently visited, I had tried it before but hadn’t liked the experience. We stopped in regardless of the parking lot being very dead sitting lunch, the food came out pretty quick. I ordered biscuits and gravy but the biscuits were cold the bacon was very burnt and dry. It’s a good portion of food but probably wont be returning soon.

Restaurant was clean, waitress was ok. Our family came in on Sunday it wasn't that busy but it was a fair amount of people. The kids ordered Mickey mouse pancakes. The pancakes had a pineapple slice and 2 cherries for the eyes Ummmm thats not stated on the menu so I don't believe you all should just be placing things on pancakes especially canned fruit. The meal didn't came with anything but the one big pancake and a drink no eggs nothing. We ordered veggie skillets and I have to say hands down the worse skillet I've ever had literally no taste it was veeery soggy I believe it was due to me substituting the broccoli for spinach. The spinach was obviously frozen and not fresh. For the price that's unacceptable..I wouldn't come back.

Staff is super friendly and efficient. The food is great, especially the delicious Mexican breakfast options. Also love the mini waffles!!

The bacon was okay and so were the pancakes. Husband had omelette he said it was great. Sausage Pattie’s were terrible. Portions are huge for 3 people it was over $50 maybe make portions smaller and charge less. No one eats that much food at one time. Overall, I would not eat here again.

The only good experience I had coming to Carmen’s pancake house was the acknowledgment of the host. So shout out to the host for providing great customer service. We ordered our food and half an hour passes by and no food. We saw other customers getting their food so we then had to reach out to another server, because our server was no where to be found. Overall, as a Waukegan resident I try to support local businesses and this experience was not cutting it.

Always love going to Emily's, usually I visit the one on Sheridan road but my sister and I took her girls with our dad visiting from overseas for his goodbye breakfast. Everyone had a great time and the food was excellent as was our server. Highly recommend Emily's any time of the day.
