Gross. Just look at that nasty Gyro meat and soggy fries. They don't even cut the Gyro meat properly, it's supposed to be cut in long thin strips, not little chunks like this garbage. If you're looking for a decent Gyro then don't bother coming to Waukegan because you're not going to find it. In fact, I don't know of a place anywhere around here that knows how to properly make a Gyro. I guess none of these stores are owned by Greeks or they wouldn't serve garbage like this.

Ordered food for 3 family members today and ALL the food was horrible.. my son ordered the chicken strips.. horrible and overcooked.. they were damn near burnt.. fries soggy!.. My Granddaughter ordered the same thing.. her food was the same way.. they also forgot to give me my mozzarella sticks.. sent the sauce, not the sticks.. I ordered a patty melt.. what a joke! .. it was two burgers on 2 dry pieces of bread.. it was salty and so were the soggy fries.. it didn’t look or taste anything like a patty melt.. all that food went in the garbage!.. My son called and complained.. we ordered for delivery and food was here within 20 minutes.. that food had to already be done and cooked twice.. ( the chicken tenders)

I didn’t get a chance to take a picture of my food because I ate it way too fast! Lol the bacon cheeseburger was great, really juicy and flavorful. I also got the cheese fries and the cheese is good cheese. My partner got the gyro and fries and he said it was really good. This is going to be our new go to, it’s hard to find good Chicago style food out here. We definitely recommend it!!

I'm only giving a star because you have to just do a review. The fries were hard and gross no doubt that if they were fresh maybe they would have tasted better. The pizza puff tasted and looked old like they took it and zapped it in the microwave. Never again!

We’ve been here numerous times but won’t be again! Employees were rude. It was 8:40. If you close at 9, close AT 9… or at least have the decency to be polite and say you’re no longer taking orders. Don’t look us in our face, make eye contact and walk away. One worker was even outside and walked right in front of our car and acted like we weren’t even there! Good customer service is a must!

I’d rather go to Waukegan Gyros which is less than a 5 minute drive. Practically the same menu but Waukegan Gyros taste better than George’s and you’ll catch yourself saving a couple more bucks. Food at George’s Gyro taste like it sat in a microwave and don’t even bother going inside unless you want to hear those old men at gambling machines.

I paid 5.99 for six mini corndogs that is a dollar a mini corndog, and the fries were soggy and gross. Burgers were good per the people who had them but a dollar a mini corn dog is outrageous.

Man this was horrible. Gyro salad was very plain. The cheese fries were burnt and just awful. This place use to serve way better food. I’m definitely not a fan anymore

Heard good things about this place since moving to the northern suburbs. I had a craving for a Gyro and strawberry shake it was delicous, they took that craving and smacked my taste buds with flavor everything WAS on point ! ...Even in drive thru it was quick and every thing was served with a smile you should been there😜😁 it was great ! you should go !!

Simply one of the Best gyros around, burgers are also very good & fresh cut frys! They have a drive thru also, many other sandwiches & drinks moderately priced & portions are generous. Love this place for my gyro or burger fix!

Had A cheese dog with cheese fries which was really delicious. had The BFG which is not like it used to be they kind of got skimpy on the meat. Used to be the only place I would go to get a gyros. I guess chalk it up to the pandemic or whatever it's really too bad.

If I could give it zero stars I would! Order was wrong, buffalo chicken strips were SEVERLY overcooked, no sauce or dressing provided. No gyro sauce provided with the gyro. When I called they said its not their issue, call Grubhub. Kenya on the phone knew nothing and kept placing me on hold without even saying anything, just abruptly left the conversation. I Will NEVER order from here again!

Awesome gyros, good burgers & fries, haven't had everything on their menu but anything I've ever had I've liked so far. If you ever have a monster appetite then I recommend the BFG, you can guess what that stands for. Quality food at reasonable prices, clean venue, always friendly staff and you can even have a beer while getting your game on!👍

Terrible, let's blame it on a late night...though it was before 9 pm. The gyro meat was terrible and not hot at all! It tasted processed and reheated, though it wasn't even hot. The burger was ok...just ok. The upside is I only wasted $16!

First time in and it quenched my hunger for a gyro. Tender meat that was moist and smoothered nicely with tzatziki sauce and big chunks of onion and tomatoes. Tasty! Combo had some fresh fries.

ordered the bfg (big fat gyro), and the name did not disappoint. this one sandwich had to of easily been 2 lbs, and the quality of the fries are pretty good as well, needs a little bit more salt though. if definitely had better gyros in different places, but if you’re in the area, this is probably the best you’re gonna get, and it’s good.

George’s Gyros is a GREAT place to eat, everything in the menu is fabulous. I highly recommend GG’s for a quick bite, pick up or dine-in. Another plus is the staff and the owner they are super friendly and approachable.

Just spent $30 on 2 disgusting piles off cubed and steak cut gyros meat, not one piece was sliced just crumbs and chunks of meat. We have been eating at George's for over a decade, but I am not taking anymore chances. This was the second time this happened, last time there was only a few chunks of meat thrown in. This sandwich was disgusting, I wasted $30. It looked so much like cubed dog food that I just gave it to the dogs

Really cute inside- I think it was an old Taco Bell. Super clean inside, fast, friendly service and really great gyros. They just need to clean their aquarium….ugh. Would go again, tho

Food is good. Hit or miss kind of thing. Overall I would say good. Cost a little more but I have enough for 2 meals so not huge complaint. I'll keep coming back. They have always been polite and nice to me.

Comfortable restaurant. Quite unexpected is the very flavorful grilled octapodi. Clean, friendly, I love their gyro meat too.

Got an Italian beef and the bread was a hoagie roll. Cheese fries had too much cheese so they were soggy. Maybe just an off day as they were better a year or so earlier.

Chicken shawarma and grape leaves are fine. But my biggest concern was the dishonesty of the workers (the cashier). The cashier will somehow manage to double the bill. I don’t know if this was an individual behavior or a business oriented one.

Great food

Just had my first Gyro from here, and it was outstanding! I got the original and added lettuce. Very big, lots of meat, lots of sauce, and just enough veggies. Pita was soft and warm, tasted delicious! I am very pleased and will return soon!

They don't deliver..

I meet with friends this place many times a year! This is the best place to dine. I go there at least once a month. The food is fantastic, the staff members are friendly and the price is reasonable. I like being in this restaurant to have a tasty supper.

Hot dogs were cold as ice!!!! Bun wasn't even heated.

Just stopped there and got a few hotdogs went straight home about a 4 min drive frys were still very hot but the hotdogs I'm not even sure they cooked them they were ice cold all the way through. I would not suggest you order hotdogs from here.
