During
a
recent
visit
to
this
Bowlero
Waukegan,
which
took
place
shortly
after
Thanksgiving,
we
encountered
several
service
issues.
Firstly,
it
took
an
unusually
long
time,
approximately
75
minutes,
to
receive
our
complete
order
of
food
and
beverages.
While
I
understand
that
this
is
primarily
a
bowling
venue
and
not
a
full-service
restaurant,
the
delay
was
notable.
Regarding
the
food
and
drink
pricing,
I
found
it
to
be
excessively
high.
For
instance,
an
order
of
three
portions
of
pretzels,
which
appeared
no
larger
than
a
single
serving,
was
priced
over
$17
after
tax.
The
pizza,
seemingly
similar
to
a
$4.99
product
from
Aldi,
was
sold
at
a
fourfold
higher
price.
Additionally,
one
of
the
cookies
caused
discomfort
to
a
child
in
our
group.
The
beverage
prices
were
steep,
especially
for
the
Waukegan
area,
and
felt
more
in
line
with
what
one
might
expect
in
a
city
where
higher
taxes
and
rents
typically
inflate
prices.
We
also
faced
challenges
with
the
bowling
experience
itself.
Initially,
we
lost
about
10
minutes
searching
for
assistance
when
a
bowling
ball
became
stuck
and
the
lane
malfunctioned.
Although
a
maintenance
worker
did
resolve
the
issue,
the
lane
only
functioned
correctly
for
another
50
minutes
before
it
erroneously
reset
a
9-pin
hit,
replacing
it
with
all
10
pins
and
incorrectly
altering
the
score.
When
inquired,
a
representative
acknowledged
this
glitch
and
offered
to
reset
the
game,
but
this
would
have
required
more
time,
which
was
not
feasible
for
us.
Consequently,
we
decided
to
leave
the
venue
and
do
not
plan
to
return.
