We were celebrating my daughter's birthday 🎂 The staff was Amazing. Someone really knows what they are doing in the kitchen. Authentic Mexican food. These were the Best short Rib tacos I ever had. The service was outstanding. The staff came out & sang Happy birthday to my daughter with maracas & tambourines & a Sombrero that they gave her. Also, my daughter took a container of Salsa home. She said it was the best she ever had. If you are looking for a good time, good food & great service go to Salsa 17 🤩 Hola !!

desperately wanting to go to this place for quite some time. first off their outside/patio seating is terrible, they set their chairs on an un-even pavement. It took 25 mins for the server to come get our order. Drinks and complimentary chips and salsa took another 25 mins. By the time our food was brought out, there was no silverware, no napkins and not enough plates. Had to get up 3 times to get silverware and napkins. Worst part was food (see pics), if you are paying $14.95 for Enchiladas, you better expect some good food. however, Enchiladas came with only saute onions with 3 spinach leaves and no salsa Verde. Veggie Fajitas were overly cooked. Drink had no Tequila. Overall disappointed and not worth a try. Rather go to Mago Grill, won't be disappointed. Forgot to mention between 4 people, $18 tip was added by the restaurant on the bill.

Hands down my absolute most favorite summer time discovery in the culinary space this season! When I tell you this good grand my soul today, I'm not exaggerating. There is something magical happening back there in the kitchen. You can taste the love in every spoonful... beginning with the roasted salsa served with the generous baskets of warm tortilla chips. It is a rainy morning so I decided to have a cup of the green pork pozole and SHUT YOUR FACE!!! It was DIVINE. So much flavor packed into a tiny cup. My husband ordered the fajitas, the presentation was gorgeous, but the flavor was great! Now into the BIRRA... they brought me a beautiful masterpiece on a plate! I've never tasted BIRRA like this! An entire lamb shank that was so fork tender it was falling off the bone. Served with the most luxurious mashed plantains and sauteed vegetables I've had in a long time. We ended the meal with the abuelita chocolate cake and man oh man did it not disappoint! I truly wish I could give this place 10 stars!

We went to this place on a busy weekend Saturday, so the wait will be for almost an hour for a patio sitting, its all luck. We ordered tacos plate which comes with 8 mix n match tacos of your choice. We had veggie, fish and grilled chicken tacos it was okay as it was dry. We enjoyed the chips and fresh Guac with the drinks. Ambience is amazing. But would suggest to go on a less busy day for a better service. I would give 3.5 stars as service was not good.

Went in for drinks and snacks. Ambiance- good. They decorated for dios de los muertos. It was beautiful. Staff- we had very friendly server. Staff was wearing dios de los muertos tshirts and sweatshirt that gave a really cozy feel. Noise level- very Loud. Crowd- very crowded place. The table are very close together and I didnt see anyone walking between isles without bumping on someone’s stuff. Waitlist- we went during peak hours on friday night and we had to wait 20min this time. One time we were said that wait time is 50-60min and we decided to go somewhere else at that time. Drinks- i ordered margaritas and asked for less alcohol, she added only half alcohol and gave other half on the side. Chips and Salsa tasted store bought and nothing fancy out of it.

Definitely, this restaurant provides a great vibes with an excellent food quality. We tried the side table guacamole but I wouldn’t ask for it again because it wasn’t something that I was super impressed/ bit expensive. However, the rest of the food was spot on. I highly recommend the Taco Alberia.

Standard “American” Mexican restaurant. Price point is slightly elevated. Food is good though! And really good salsa. Average drinks. Staff was kind.

The food was delicious as always! Service is exceptional 💯💫🥰 - the wait time does get a little crazier on the weekends. I love that they have an outdoor area with heaters so you do have an option to seat outside.

Tasty and delicious. The portions are big and can be shared. The cocktails are really good and you can choose the level of sweetness.

Salsa 17 has a pretty cool ambiance to it. Food was decent. We had gotten the chicken nachos as an appetizer and that was our favorite item we got. The portion size was definitely worth it. For our meals we got Fajitas (chicken and steak) & chicken and cheese enchiladas. When getting the Fajitas we recommend getting steak, it's pretty juicy and flavorful. The chicken is juicy but flavorless. The enchiladas were just okay. Our service was not the best. Our server was not attentive to us at all and just seemed to be very unenthusiastic. Overall not the best experience. Plus the restaurant is very tight with tables.

Catering from Salsa 17 was an amazing experience! DIY fajita bar comes with tortillas, choice of meat, rice, beans, potatoes, chips & salsa and all the sides (sour cream, pico, lettuce, cheese)! 🌮 Everything was so yummy and our guest could not stop raving about the food! Staff was helpful and timely with the catering order. They also pack the food nicely in Salsa 17 boxes for easy transportation! 💃🏽

Food was delicious. They have some of the biggest pieces of steak ive ever received when ordering the fajitas. Servers and bar tender were very pleasant and informative on meals and drink suggestions. This place is loud in a good way with laughter and conversations. Pricey but portions are big so its worth it!!!

Nice Mexican restaurant on the Campbell st. Indoor and outdoor sitting available. Food is very good, complimentary nachos with salsa is too good. No draft beer, only bottled, cocktails are cool. Kids menu available.

Came for my mom’s birthday. The staff was great! They were all super nice, especially our server. We were there for about a little over 2 hours and our server was patient the whole time! Gave the food 4 stars just because I didn’t like my drinks unfortunately. I got a paloma, which was too lemon-y/lime-y for my liking. The horchata was good but the rice flavor was also too thick for my liking. But overall a good experience

We just had a birthday party catered and the food was spectacular! There was sooo much for the money. We said for 30 people and we easily could have fed 60! The service while ordering was wonderful, pick-up was flawless and the quality was delicious! Thank you Salsa 17 staff for making a first birthday extra special!!!

As a devoted fan of Mexican cuisine, I recently had the pleasure of dining at Salsa 17 restaurant, and I must say, it was a remarkable experience from start to finish. Nestled conveniently close to the metra station, this culinary gem captured my heart with its mouthwatering Mexican food, delectable fresh guacamole, refreshing drinks, vibrant ambiance, and top-notch service. Upon arrival, I was greeted warmly by the staff and immediately drawn to the lively atmosphere. The restaurant's décor exuded a fusion of modern and traditional elements, creating a perfect backdrop for an enjoyable dining experience. The highlight of the lunch was undoubtedly the Mexican cuisine. From sizzling tostadas to savory burrito, each dish was crafted with authentic flavors that transported my taste buds straight to the heart of Mexico. The fresh guacamole, prepared right at the table, was a showstopper. The creamy avocado, zesty lime, and perfectly balanced spices made for an irresistible dip that perfectly complemented the tortilla chips. To accompany the scrumptious meal, I indulged in a variety of refreshing drinks, including the classic Margarita and the tantalizing Horchata. Each sip was a burst of flavors that further enhanced the overall dining experience. What impressed me the most was the restaurant's proximity to the metro station, making it incredibly convenient for both locals and visitors to access this culinary haven without any hassle. The location was a perfect blend of accessibility and escape from the city's hustle and bustle. Only improvements i would think is adding more variety as lunch combo options for providing more options for customers to try out variety of food delicacies, to the existing menu and i do find it bit on pricy$$ side. Overall i loved the experience and definately recommend.

Table side guacamole!! 🥑 Fresh and Best tasting around. Entrees were hot and delicious. Drinks were tasty and just right... Not too strong and not weak at all! Can't wait to go back!!

We came here on a Sunday night and enjoyed sitting outside. We were seated promptly upon arrival and ordered three items along with some drinks. My son particularly enjoyed his shrimp taco, and we also savored the braised short ribs. While the lamb taco lacked a bit of flavor, it was still enjoyable. I look forward to returning to try the fajitas.

I loved how this place is decorated. The guacacmole is made freah in front of you and the green pozole is to die for! They only serve black beans and white cilantro rice on the side. I love the way the food tastes here and I'm sure I will be back soon!!

This was one of my first real Mexican restaurants. Design on walls and atmosphere is out of this world! I usually go with Marinated skirt steak with potatoes, guacamole, queso and onion, dish is called Arrachera Chalco, very tender steak, great combination with queso, potatoes and veggies, I'm in love with that dish! I also tried Beef short rib in chipotle sauce, great presentation, tender meat on a huge bone, mushrooms and spinach are well combined and sauce is amazing. Very traditional and great quality of food. Only issue I had was one of the servers was asking me for ID when I gave credit card and he didn't ask anyone around for it. I let it pass, but next time we got him as server again and he was even more arrogant, we would ask him about certain dishes with some spanish words on menu and he would explain it in a mean way, because we don't speak Spanish or I dont know what the reason was.. anyway Huge recommendations for this place! Food is outstanding.

Just a traveler going through, my party and I stopped here after checking the reviews Food was great, the atmosphere was enjoyable. I am so happy we ate outside on the patio because it was so cramped inside. Our server seemed to be having a really busy night and didn't give us much attention, but the server from the other table was super friendly. We enjoyed the tables idea guacamole very much! Highly recommended. Biggest thing I noticed that could use some love - the highchairs for baby was dirty and gross. That is something I had to use my wipes to clean up before use.
