What can I say, Joel rocked our corporate group tour! We had over 40 property and casualty insurance people from all across the state in Buffalo last week, and Joel put together a custom tour for us that was beyond anything we could have planned. He met our tour as we got off the bus in character - and his Irish Grain Scooper character Sean was amazing! One woman afterwords commented how lucky we were to get an actual irish person to do the tour! I didn't have the heart to correct her. Joel held everyone's attention for the entire tour, which was hilarious, informative, and lively. We have done a free group activity for our annual conference every year for the past 15 years, and I was told constantly how this was the best activity so far. It was certainly our highest attended. So thank you Joel aka Sean for your funny, educational and engaging tour! We had a blast.

As someone that's relatively new to the Buffalo area, it's tours like these that are great for learning about the history of the city. I went on the Lawless Pub Crawl, and Joel was not only full of cool, interesting knowledge but also incredibly funny and entertaining. This particular tour is $20/ticket, and it's totally worth it. I can't wait to go on another one of Joel's tours in the future!

As someone who enjoys history, this tour was a lot of fun. Joel presented the facts in an amusing and entertaining manner, and worked with the large crowd to make it an enjoyable experience. The beer tastings were supplemental to the tour, so keep that in mind and you will enjoy the evening. I used a Living Social deal so my tickets were only $10 apiece (usually $20), and half price beer vouchers made for a fun, affordable and unique evening out.

We did the murder mystery dinner at Riverworks as well as the hotel Lafayette tour. Both with Joel. We had a blast at both. Joel was personable and entertaining. A good balance of history and fun. I can't wait to do the lawless pub crawl next.

We recently rented a school bus for a family reunion trip to Niagara Falls and Joel was our step-on guide. We were a group of 29 with ages ranging from 5 mos. to 81. Joel made an instant connection with all of the children and held the attention of the adults as well. He demonstrated his depth of knowledge of the region while telling stories and keeping everyone entertained. Many of our history buffs could not stump him with numerous questions about the region. His leadership as our guide made the day extremely special. I would recommend his services to anyone!

Joel was very entertaining and knowledgeable. It was a very interesting tour, learned a lot about the history of Buffalo. It was worth the cost of $20 per person. My only problem, and it is probably all my fault, I thought it was more of a pub crawl. Only went to 2 breweries/bars, and only received 2 half price drafts with the $20 ticket with not a whole lot of time to hang out and drink. Overall it was well worth the money, and a different way to spend a Saturday night. Definitely check it out for the history and entertainment, not so much for the drinking.

The tour was incredible! I had a great time learning about Buffalos rich past and its role in history. Joel was an amazing tour guide, and was absolutely hilarious. I definitely recommend others to try out the tour and the great selection of beers at 76 pearl street.

Dont miss an opportunity to take one of Joel's tours. He is a phenomenal storyteller. But the amazing thing is that his stories are about history and he makes history fun and exciting. My group has taken many tours with guides, docents, and the usual people who offer this kind of tour and by and far Joel is the best, hands down.
