This was my husbands extra birthday present on a complete whim and it was the highlight of our whole trip! Our guide was such a lovely soul and all the workers are fantastic people who really care about what they do and care to share their deep knowledge with visitors! All of the birds were fantastic to meet and see in action as well. Highly recommend the closest experience :)

we went for a close experience today (our first time) and had a SPECTACULAR visit. it's truly all about the flying demo which was the most amazing experience. Walter, the barred owl, was very sweet and did not want to share the attention! our host was so informative and I couldn't help but have a smile on my face the whole time!

We love it here! You get to see the beautiful raptors up close. The demonstrations are awesome as you get to see a variety of birds, and learn a lot about them. I recommend going for the first at 1130, bringing and eating lunch and then catching the second demo at 130. Definitely a must see if you are in the area!

Pacific northwest raptors or The Raptors as the call themselves is an amazing place to visit. It's a rehabilitation center but also for animals born in captivity. I have been to many places like this, and have always felt like the animals were no happy or content. As for the birds here I believe that they are happy and content because they have the ability to fly away but choose not to. They are still caged for their protection and visitor protection but are let out to fly regularly. Very wonderful and knowledgeable staff. I highly recommend stopping when you can see the flying shows. They are close enough that I was slapped in the head by a vultures wing as if flew past. This place is friendly for kids, adults, elderly, families and tourists.

Our visit to The Raptors in Duncan was absolutely unforgettable! This place is a must-see for anyone interested in birds of prey, nature, or wildlife conservation. From the moment we arrived, we were thrilled by how up-close and personal we could get with these incredible creatures. The variety of raptors on display is amazing—hawks, owls, eagles, and even vultures—all beautifully cared for and clearly loved by the knowledgeable and passionate staff. One of the highlights was the live flying demonstration, which allowed us to see the birds in action and appreciate their power and grace. Watching a falcon swoop right overhead and seeing an eagle up close was awe-inspiring. The handlers explained everything in an engaging way, sharing facts about each species, their habitats, and conservation efforts, making the experience both educational and thrilling. If you’re in the Duncan area, don’t miss The Raptors! This experience brings you closer to nature in a way that’s hard to describe, and it’s perfect for visitors of all ages. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to learn more about these extraordinary birds and their role in our ecosystem. We can’t wait to go back!

a wonderful up close experience both dot flight demos and for close up experience. it was a tiny bit scary with the birds near my face but such a nice experience. the birds were great on our arms too and this was the normal way to have them, not at all scary. they are such amazing creatures. this is not a rescue but they do have an attached rescue. there were many kinds of raptors and owls and even one injured crow. they all get very excited at feeding time and soar unstated up in the air. the falcon was five bombing to get the target wood piece which was fun too. our guide was great both in the open demo and in the personal experience.

Been a fifteen year veteran who has attended over 250 presentations at all times of year in all types of weather. Never have there been a single presentation being the same with a variety of presentations by talented and informative falconers and helpful staff. Great collection of ever changing feathered residents in expanded enclosures to entice attendees.

We bought regular admission tickets, and it was definitely worth it. We attended two different flying demonstrations, each featuring a variety of birds, though the bald eagle appeared in both. I recommend staying for at least two shows to see a broader range of bird species in flight. I was initially concerned about the birds' well-being, but it was reassuring to learn that they are either bred in captivity, injured, or non-releasable wild birds. However, I would have liked to see some of the cages designed to be more natural and spacious, as not all birds participate in the demonstrations. It was very sad to see some of them was circling in the cage due to restriction or stayed on the one spot for hours. (The reason for the 4 stars instead of five) Overall, it's a fantastic spot for families and friends, and engaging with the staff can provide more insight into the birds.
