Loved this place! Never a real line at the bar and loaded fries were amazing for $10!

Fantastic place to see live music. The rooftop is awesome. Great bar, cool breezes, great place to see a band with the night sky as a backdrop.

when the bartender tells you to get the burger?! LISTEN TO THEM!!! that burger was so fast and good, I ORDERED A SECOND!!! like I would come here just for the burger, it's that good! came for the Sunny Day Real Estate show and so glad I took the bartender's recommendation! a great place for shows in athens...always reminds me of the old masquerade cuz of the multiple floors❤

Fantastic music venue. Small, intimate setting gives you the opportunity to get up close and personal with the show. We had the privilege of seeing Mitchell Tenpenny and Tyler Braden at this venue. Both are incredible talents. It was a great show. We will definitely watch for opportunities to return to this venue.

Always a good time, venue feels intimate no matter where you stand. I appreciate their continued COVID protocols!

Great venue! Really packed in, but good sound. Liked the rooftop as an escape from the crowd.

The 1 star is for attention. My family and I attended the Cannibal Corpse/Dark Funeral show on Friday. From the time I parked to Cannibal Corpse's fourth song, I couldn't be more impressed with the venue and staff. Then I decided to crowd surf. A BIG MISTAKE. The "security guard" that was in front of the lead singer is going to get someone killed. He made almost zero effort to catch me before I fell into the support for the barricade below. After reviewing the footage on YouTube. At 13:50 you can see the left most "guard" point out at me going up. At 13:55 they guide me head/back first to the floor/barricade support. At 14:00 you see the left most "guard" throw his hand up and shake his head. At 14:04 after picking myself up they point me to stage left and you see him lean in and say "Now don't do that again" You can clearly see him saying something to everyone who crowd surfed. Even the first guy up crowd surfing dressed as Santa. I never saw the same person surf twice. I didn't let that ruin my night though. Since I couldn't count on security to keep us safe. That effectively guaranteed that we will never return to the Georgia Theater again. If you don't want people to crowd surf just say so. Intentionality or negligently hurting fans is unacceptable.

Cool venue for an intimate vibe. Really enjoyed the concert. Drinks were okay.

Great venue for an up and close concert! Saw Robert Earl keen in concert here! Nice! Four stars for the concert. Minus a star due to the length of time it took the crowd to exit. Only the front doors (2) were open for exit…. It was raining and storming and a huge crowd gathered at and under the front awnings. Staff should consider having those people clear the exits for fast and safe exit. Other than that, neat venue!

Love the Georgia Theater! Always been one of my favorites for great shows, not to mention that it's one of my favorite places I've ever played! The sound and acoustics are great whether you're on the floor or in the balcony. So glad she was rebuilt after the fire! The Rooftop is pretty awesome, too! The Georgia Theater is one of those iconic places that you have to see a show in Athens.

Awesome show. This is my second concert at the venue (saw Buckethead in 2019). Both times were great. Clean restrooms, friendly, helpful staff, great sound. Parked around the corner in the garage on Washington Street, was only $3.

This was a great show! We went to see George Clanton, and he was amazing! The lights and fog was all trippy, and it truly made you feel like you were in another world. We were right up front, too. The volumes wasn't overbearing and my best friend was so into the show that it was amazing to see someone have that great of a time! The venue itself was spectacular! Plenty of room for everyone, and while the drinks were high, I felt generous and have the waitress a $20 tip since she was working the whole crowd by herself. I will definitely go back!.

My main purpose of posting this review is the Stop Light Observations. If you ever get a chance to see this band do it! Heard a couple songs on Spotify and I liked them but once I saw them live and did a deep dive into the band and their music I have become obsessed. The Georgia theatre was awesome for sure. Beautiful venue, great vibe, well run but Stop Light Observations was what made it a night memories are made for.

This was our first time at the GA theater to see Bailey Zimmerman. We have already booked tickets for another concert next month because we enjoyed the venue so much. It would be hard to imagine a place that is any better for a more intimate experience with a band. Good seats and bar access throughout the show.

The Georgia Theatre is an excellent venue with awesome acoustics with great visibility of the stage. Went the see Lily Rose & Travis Denning and had an absolute blast. First concert I've been to in over 10 years and The Georgia Theatre did not disappoint. I will definitely be attending future concerts here.

It's a great place to see concerts, but there is no seating unless you get there way before doors open. Drinks are super expensive (as expected). Always expect it to be crowded too! It's a concert though so, just go with the flow

Great venue. Loved the balcony that had optional seating if you get there early . Great acoustics, good drink prices. We were there for the Futurebirds show which was fantastic. However, we were near the stairs at a standup bar area, and were surrounded by one large family that was not only obnoxious but continuously blocked the staircase, causing several people to fall down the stairs. Security came by once, then they just moved right back out there. Someone literally slid down the stairs because of these people, and the mother of the group got into my face for daring to say anything to what I’m assuming was her son. The other patrons around us were so disgusted with her son laughing at someone falling down the stairs that they LEFT the show. Beautiful venue, bartenders were great, easy breezy getting in, great show. However, y’all may want to clear the stairways before someone gets seriously injured, hence why I deducted a star.

Fantastic small to mix sized venue. Built for sound. It's like a smaller Tabernacle. Drinks are priced decently and the pours are standard. If you're a smoker they have a roof top bar to accommodate that, however after you get done climbing up there you may start to question your life decisions.

Rooftop bar is lovely. Bartenders were lovely. Last year, I drove an hour plus for a show…turned away at the door because I did not see the email in my spam account regarding the mandatory Covid vaccination/negative test result. This year I wanted to be sure that didn’t happen. I checked all the email folders, their website, their Instagram, called the theatre, sent an email. Never could get through. Never heard back. No information on the accounts that I could find. It would just be really nice if that info were posted somewhere.

I was here many years ago; the music was so loud that I had to shout my requests to the bar tenders. Feeling this was inefficient, I resorted to pointing at the tap I wanted. The bartender thought I was being sassy and actually mocked me! Again, many years ago. The music is still pretty loud, but the bartender actually turned an ear in order to hear me better, so I was quite pleased. Awesome, intimate venue with many fun levels.

Such an icon, I used to come here during college in the 90s, now back with my son and it's a great as I remember. Good vibes, good people and great music. They did a great job with remodel after the fire. Keep strong Georgia Theatre.

Spent New Years Eve here and was not disappointed. Perpetual Groove was just amazing !!! 3 Full Sets. The venue is very spacious with multiple floors, balconies to view the stage, even though the place was crowded we still had enough space to feel as if the band was playing solely for us. The rooftop also has a great bar and lots of TVs.

Nice to finally go to this venue. Would've been nice if the upper levels weren't curtained off, but the crowd didn't exactly necessitate that extra room. Smaller than I expected, but nice to be able to see Beyond the Buried and Me closer to home than ATL.

We love coming to shows here and the ride from seneca isn't that long. If you haven't visited the rooftop I do suggest it, awesome food and even more awesome views!!
