We stayed here to celebrate my birthday and attend the Beyoncé Renaissance World Tour and I must say it was a amazing experience from check-in to checking out. Kris was absolutely amazing, breakfast was delicious our entire stay, and our room The Fowler was better than any other hotel accommodation we have ever booked. If I could give them 10 stars I absolutely would

The most amazing bed & breakfast. Rare art featured inside as well as anything more (books, magazines, paintings, etc) an art lover could hope for. John and Grace run the b&b and their attention for detail along with Grace’s scrumptious breakfast and homemade pastries were stellar. The rooms were so clean as well as very comfortable beds with the freshest of sheets —they smelled amazing. I was lucky to have some downtime to explore the house and I still felt as if there was something I didn’t see each time I left and came back. 10/10 would recommend and definitely stay again.

I had such a wonderful stay for 3 nights at Stonehurst. Comfortable room and bed but the best part was the coffee and breakfast each morning. All the staff were wonderful.

When I hear John and Grace I immediately think: the most inviting and wonderful hosts. My girlfriend and I stayed in the Fowler suite, the most luxurious, comfortable, and wonderful suite i’ve ever been in. The breakfast was so unique and amazing, everything about Stonehurst was wonderful. We will be sure to come back. No other bed and breakfast feels the same after experiencing John and Grace’s amazing hospitality and service. Thank you both so much, and we will be sure to see you soon. - Connor and Catherine

Extraordinary service, a premium experience for reasonable prices. I've had the pleasure of staying at Stonehust twice this year so far while in town for work, after previously trying a spectrum of stays from Airbnb (got my catalytic converter stolen in a gated parking area) and a hotel downtown (didn't feel comfortable with walking the area). Finally found Stonehust and will be sure to book anytime I'm in town. The first time I had the opportunity to talk with John at length, he is so kind, and it's clear how much he sincerely cares about guest experiences. The second time I got to meet Grace, she's absolutely a lovely person and a pleasure to talk to. The home and grounds are stunning. So well cared for and there are no details overlooked. My highlights are John, Grace and the other caretakers, along with breakfast and treats left in the rooms. I love talking with other people joining for breakfast. It's so interesting to hear where others are from. Both times I met couples staying for a Staycation in the area. I've also nerded out on their rewards programs and found Select Registry an unexpected treat to learn about. History and architecture are my favorite things to experience when traveling and Select Registry basically does the work for me and highlights exceptional B&Bs around the country so you don't have to dig to find a unique stay. The team at Stonehust is incredible and all of my coworkers are jealous when I share what the experience is like. I'm in town at least quarterly so I hope I don't wear out my welcome with John and Grace. I'd leave 10 stars if I could but 5 will have to do. Thanks team!

My wife and I travelled to Atlanta for an event and spent the night at Stonehurst Place. I can’t recommend this B&B enough. Aside from being an amazing property with a long history, John and Grace were amazing hosts. The hospitality was second to none. The home was everything I wish my own home was. The complimentary dessert that awaited us was a great end to the evening. The breakfast the next morning was shockingly good. It doesn’t get much better than fresh berries over Greek yogurt topped with a red wine reduction and butter pecan bread pudding French toast with sausage. We are already trying to figure out when we can go back. Thank you Stonehurst Place! Thank you John and Grace!

All we can say is WOW. John and Grace, you made everything about our stay absolutely incredible. From first walking in to leaving, every moment was impeccable. Such wonderful hosts. We rave about our stay with you and the excellent breakfasts and treats made by Grace. Prior to reserving our room, I saw the review from someone stating that John was rude on the phone. In all our phone calls, interactions with him he was nothing but courteous and polite (even when we kept getting lost!!). If we ever find ourselves out there again, this will be the place we will stay. Everything we wanted to do was so close that we did not have very far to go which. Such ease of a drive to each activity (and food of course!!). Could not have asked for a better spot. Thank you both for such a wonderful first time experience at a Bed and Breakfast. You made our Birthdays that much more fun and incredible.

Stonehurst is a unique gem hidden in Midtown Atlanta. Beautiful setting and rooms, well-appointed, warm, inviting, private and comfortable. We stayed in the Master Suite which had a fireplace in the living room, a separate office area and a luxury bathroom with jetted tub and heated floors. Both the room and the common areas had great touches - interesting books, artwork and even a grand piano. John and Grace were fabulous hosts. Grace made amazing treats for us at night and gourmet breakfasts every day. Wonderful!

First-the place is amazing. Jason and Kris are great hosts who are very welcoming and more than happy to assist you in any way. The location in Midtown gives easy access to the Fox, Alliance and Shakespeare Theaters as well as Piedmont Park and numerous museum and restaurants. A safe area to walk. A real plus is they have off street parking which is a big deal in this part of town. The historical building itself is impeccably maintained and ultra clean. Breakfast was a real treat, great service, incredible food in a well appointed dining room. We stayed in the Hinman Suite which had its own historic story, was very nicely decorated and had heated bathroom floors and towel rack. All in all, extremely comfortable in every regard. Jason and Kris provided great communication prior to arrival and during our stay. This really helped locating Stonehurst and left very few questions upon arrival. Impressive place with incredible hosts. We will definitely return and strongly encourage you to stay here also.

My husband and I recently stayed at Stonehurst Place and I truly cannot say enough good things about our experience, from start to finish. Kris and Jason were kind, warm, and inviting, and their inn is stunning. Our room was stylish and comfortable, and the gourmet breakfast each morning (prepared by Jason and served by Kris) was a real treat. I added a charcuterie board to the first night of our stay, and it was set up beautifully in our room, and was amazingly delicious. We cannot wait to return.

Lovely and luxurious, charming and historic bed and breakfast in midtown Atlanta. The owners / innkeepers / chefs are a lovely pair whose warmth shows through in how they welcome and look after the needs of their guests. We loved our stay here, from the gorgeous, well-appointed room to the great communication and support to the easy parking to the fantastic breakfast, and of course, the other guests whom we were delighted to dine with and get to know over breakfast. Be sure to ask the hosts for a short tour of the history of the house. Highly recommended, especially for travelers or couples looking for a more intimate, personal, cozy stay in Atlanta. Can’t wait to stay here again!

I booked this room last minute and added their gourmet getaways food package (for a welcome charcuterie board and a gift certificate for dinner nearby). One of the owners met us at the door when we arrived and showed us around. The next morning we met her husband at breakfast and he seemed genuinely thrilled that we loved the food. This was probably the most comfortable and welcoming place I've ever stayed. We stayed in the room called The Eaves, it was super cozy and the bed was so comfortable. We took a little nap both days we were there and each Small Sleep felt like a full night. I felt really refreshed by the end of the weekend, between the naps and full sleeps. Parking is included and it's really close to a ton of stuff, and only like five minutes drive after the exit from 85. I talk about breakfast more in a separate review section(?) but it was excellent. They also had some miscellaneous snacks in the room and also in a cabinet downstairs. I'm always snacky so that was super nice for me. There's another room with coffee and tea available whenever too. Also the tap water is filtered and purified and tasted like Nothing, which is also super nice for me because I'm unfortunately really picky about water taste. As far as overall value, this was barely more expensive than any nearby hotel once you account for food and parking, and the comfort and caring difference is worlds apart. Super super recommend staying here. Side note: This is probably irrelevant to 99% of guests because of the genre haha but we went to a (late, heavy electronic music) concert at Believe Music Hall and a Lyft was only like $15 each way. Just to give a general idea of transportation costs to locations a few miles away.

My stay was amazing. The service was top tier and the breakfast provided was truly delicious! The room and property as a whole was stunning. The staff was always friendly and available for any need. 10/10 would definitely recommend!

My wife and I stayed at Stonehurst Place recently for a few nights after our wedding. We loved loved loved it! The home is amazing! The location is right in the heart of Midtown! The owners do a fantastic job of communicating and are always around if you require anything. I would 100% recommend Stonehurst to anyone. Enjoy!

I came to Atlanta for work and staying here was the absolute best part of my trip! Not only is Stonehurst Place beautiful and comfortable, but Kris and Jason have clearly thought of every possible thing to make your stay enjoyable. There are ample snacks available, breakfast is lovely, and Kris and Jason are very responsive. The location is also perfect, a lovely neighborhood just a 10 minute walk to the subway!

What a fabulous Bed & Breakfast! The rooms are comfortable, the Hosts are fantastic. The breakfast is a little highfalutin - you wont find scrambled eggs and hash browns here. Very close to the city. Overall a wonderful stay and we will return.

As owners of a bed and breakfast, it's a pleasure to be on the receiving end of an incredible experience. We booked an overnight stay here during a road trip. The home is expertly decorated and has all the right touches -- soft sheets, luxurious robes, a calm environment -- like an oasis in the heart of the city. The hosts and general managers, Grace and John, are lovely people. The food was beautiful and tasty. We also enjoyed the conversations at breakfast. The only thing we would change is that we would stay longer. We look forward to returning, and we will recommend Stonehurst Place to our own guests without any hesitation.

I was here for a “staycation” earlier this month (I live a few miles away).I chose the “bed/no breakfast” package (discounted rate), as I had been working entirely too much and wanted to rest. I stayed in the master suite and it was absolutely amazing. The bed and breakfast is walking distance to many restaurants, attractions and Piedmont Park. I did not meet Grace, but John was very kind and gracious, yet I felt I had my own space to decompress.

I stayed at the Stonehurst Bed and Breakfast over the weekend of July 21st and 22nd and stayed in the Stedman Suite. The room was spotless and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The new managers, Jay and Kris, did an amazing job preparing breakfast and making us feel right at home. The location is also so amazing in Midtown, Atlanta! Would highly recommend staying here and can't wait for another stay!

Absolutely wonderful experience. The room was beautiful and clean and the decor was on point. We were a late arrival and the innkeepers were very accommodating. The room we stayed in was quite and relaxing. Breakfast was 5star and very enjoyable. Do note that the parking on property is for compact cars. They do have two EV charging parking spots. Restaurants within walking distance too! We will be returning again.

Stumbled upon this amazing place! The customer service was above and beyond - Grace and John were very kind and accommodating. The food was scrumptious-beyond imagination. The space will not disappoint from beautiful decor to the soft lux sheets, oh and scooby snacks are available just in case. :) Definitely on my list to return. Thank you for your impeccable service.

What a delightful experience! Grace and John are the best, truly. They made me feel right at home, had my room all setup early with the added bonus of a homemade cookie! Accommodations were fabulous, super comfy bed and spacious bathroom. The cherry on top is the homemade breakfast - my lemon brioche French toast was the best. Thanks for a great time!

Stonehurst Place is an oasis in the beautiful, mid-town neighborhood of Atlanta. I was in town for a business conference and opted to stay here instead of the large hotel the conference took place in. This was an excellent decision. Everything, from the self check-in process (because I arrived very late) to the amazing pillows on the bed, went above and beyond my expectations. I was fortunate to be present for kind of a historic day at Stonehurst Place. There was a change in ownership that took place on my first morning there. Kris, the amazing host and new owner, told me my breakfast was the very first served under the new regime. It was delicious and I'm still thinking about the egg puff and french press coffee. I can't speak to what the Stonehurst was like under the previous hosts, but I can say this place is amazing and I would absolutely stay here again. Kris was so kind and easy to talk to, the house and grounds are beautiful. I even had a nice surprise treat waiting for me in my my room at the end of each day. This is a special place and I would recommend anyone traveling in the area to stay here.

My husband and I went here to celebrate our 29 th Anniversary! We had a fabulous time and stayed in their Fowler room in the Carriage House. The bed and sheets were so comfortable. Heated bathroom floors and towels and a 400.00 blow dryer. Every single detail was beyond what I had imagined. The couple that manage the place were very friendly and made us feel comfortable. The breakfast and coffee was delicious and the main house had so much history and decorated beautifully! We will be back!

My new husband and I had a small, intimate wedding at Stonehurst Place. John and Grace made our special day amazing. The cake, bouquet, boutonnière and room they provided were amazing. And, I can’t say enough about the breakfast the next morning. They even accommodated our vegan and vegetarian preferences. They treated us like family. I highly recommend.

Stay here!!!! Please read... John and Grace, as well as their staff, are warm, welcoming and all-around amazing! I can’t imagine a more wonderful place to stay in Atlanta. With handwritten notes, goodies and accommodating nature of their customer service, our experience was truly amazing. The little things make a great experience, but John and Grace ensure that little and big things alike are taken care of to the max. As hosts, John was attentive and able to share in our excitement about our vacation, he shared personal stories with us about the suite we stayed in (the Fowler in the Carriage House); Grace made us feel cherished with her superb cooking and attention to detail, and was the epitome of kindness and, well, grace! And don’t even get us started about the breakfast that Grace made for us... there are no words to describe the gourmet spread that was delivered to our room in the morning. Imagine saying “Wow” in the most excited, happy, contented voice you could, then multiply it by 100 and you might get close to how we felt after that meal! The Fowler Suite itself was luxurious and echoed my earlier sentiment about the little and the big things. Everything was a delight. The pictures just don’t do it justice. If you are after romance, it’s the perfect room to stay in for every reason. It’s a sexy suite!!! We can’t wait to return, you have customers for life! Savanna and Tori :)

No words can adequately describe how incredible my stay at Stonehurst Place has been. A few notes that come to mind are impeccable attention to detail provided by the hosts and staff and amenities well beyond expectation. As anticipated, the location is perfect for anyone's individual purpose and visit in the area. The on-site parking is available and easily accessible. The meals and treats graciously provided are exquisite and delicious. Each room boasts its own unique personality and is incredibly comfortable. I was constantly reminded of the care and attention that is invested within the walls of Stonehurst Place throughout the duration of my stay and I cannot wait to return.

If you're looking for a place to stay in Atlanta, this is it! Innkeepers John and Grace have created a warm, welcoming atmosphere in a beautifully decorated historic home. The location in Midtown Atlanta is just perfect - it feels like a green oasis in the heart of the city. I can't stop thinking about Grace's eggpuffs weeks later! I am so excited to return as soon as I can. Thank you for such a wonderful B&B experience.

Atlanta’s hidden gem!! Our 3rd visit to Stonehurst Place since 2016 and it remains top on our list as a consistently welcoming, well appointed, impeccably clean, and beautiful retreat. Without a doubt, John and Grace create an inviting space for a peaceful getaway - they are a considerate, caring, and insightful couple. They truly want guests to enjoy their visit and aim to give the space and accommodations needed. It was a great stay!

I couldn't say enough nice things about this Bed and Breakfast! I am a photographer so I didn't stay overnight, but I wanted to leave a review from my point of view. Upon arriving John, the owner, was hospitable, warm, and friendly. He gave my friend and I a tour of the property, which was most impressive and decorated with art, history and books which he was kind enough to go into detail about their significance to the home. The B&B is beautiful from the inside and out. We took photos outside in the courtyard and throughout the rest of the property as the landscaping was just gorgeous from every point of view. The more we walked, the more places I saw that I wanted to take a photo! I would highly recommend this location to any photographer, not only for its beauty but for its seclusion as well. It is so nice to take photos somewhere where there aren't a million people around! I hope I will return again someday!

My husband and I recently stayed at Kris & Jason’s charming bed and breakfast and was thoroughly impressed. It was our anniversary and Kris's personal touch made the stay exceptional; their warm hospitality made me feel right at home. The proximity to local attractions was convenient, and the cleanliness of the place was impeccable. The personalized breakfast was a delightful highlight, offering a delicious start to each day. Highly recommend for a cozy and hospitable experience! Definitely coming back again.
