Ate at this location years ago when we used to shop at the big chain grocery store next to it. Don’t remember if it was Hop Shing back then. Saw it on Grub Hub and decided to give it a go. Ordered the Roast Pork with Peppers & Onions. It arrived on time, was complete and correct, and was packed very well for delivery. I was surprised by the portion size. There was a LOT of food for the price. The pork was plentiful and sliced in large pieces. Goodly amounts of onions and peppers of course, all together in a nice and slightly sweet chili sauce. Steamed rice was tasty but basic steamed rice, Hot & Sour soup was average as well. Soup was dominated by mushrooms and carrots, without relying on too much black pepper for flavor. (Great fried soup noodles) Only area that I found disappointing was the egg roll. It was overly “chewy” and obviously stale. Probably would have given a five in rating if it wasn’t for the egg roll. I would certainly order from here again though, as the entree itself was very tasty.

I love this spot. If you're missing NYC Chinese food and haven't found a GOOD spot yet, it's because this is the one. I started coming here in 2008 when I lived just 2 miles away and the family had kids doing homework after school. I moved 30 miles away and used any excuse to handle business near this area so I could order from this spot. Moved 50 miles out and now it's a treat to get out here twice a year and have a guaranteed meal like back up top. Chicken wings are excellent, the fried rice does it's thing and I've ordered across the menu over the years. Don't mistreat them, we need a place that actually has flavor in their Chinese food.

I normally don’t write reviews but I am giving them one star because I went there last night and they got my order incorrect after getting home and a drive 30 min out of my way. I called and spoke to owner this morning and she offered me my order for 1/2 price. After she asked me to bring in the food which I happily agreed to. I didn’t eat anymore after I realized that this is not what I ordered. Curry is in the Singapore and all meats. I normally check my order but I did not this time because I am there weekly and never ever had an issue. This particular time they had it wrapped up when I got there. I ordered Singapore Mei fun and got Shrimp Mei which was discussing, I believe great customer service is fixing the order after you clearly see the food you provided was not what the customer ordered and not charging anything additional to fix the issue. I will no longer eat at this establishment due to poor service from owner. My sister went through this same process a few months ago but I don’t judge on others and give everyone the benefit of the doubt but now they have lost two regular customers. Beware and look at your food because if you have any allergies or dislike for something then you’re stuck! Horrible customer service from manager!

Shocked me the food is hot fresh and does not give off that greasy and unhealthy feel …..I’ve eaten at Chinese places and stoped eating Chinese before eating here because the food is cooked is cooked in such a manner that you know they aren’t cooking their own food like that and walking around looking fit and healthy this restaurant showed me that they can cook Chinese food with flavor and not make my stomach hurt the next day or make me feel as if I just ate a greasy fattening dish ….After a second time I will order here again Mongolian steak, pepper steak and general tso was really good including the fried rice I can’t wait to try the other menu items.sorry I didn’t take a picture I was to busy smashing the food !

I love Hop Shing, overall consistent. Today I ordered sesame chicken with shrimp fried rice. The chicken was packed, they didn’t skimp & great flavor. However they only put 5 small shrimp on top the rice. Shrimp are dry and have an imitation crab consistency, not real shrimp so I personally don’t recommend. Especially because it’s an up charge of $1.50 better without it.

Hands-down this is the best Chinese takeout restaurant in Atlanta! No joke services always great, they are fast, fresh, quality ingredients and absolutely delicious not to mention it’s a family owned business! Look at the picture the fried rice have you ever seen shrimp that large in fried rice and vegetables there at that fresh? Also in the same plaza if you go there stop at this coffee shop that’s in the pendant one of my absolute favorites so delicious and their customer service is out of this world!

For value, speed and overall flavor, this is pretty darn good. You'll get a lot of food, quickly and it is pretty good. It seems to me the restaurant changed hands or really changed and improved its approach. They have two women up front efficiently taking orders and a production line in the kitchen. They are quick and good. Better than they were a few years ago. Never had a bad meal here.

This little restaurant has the best Chinese food in Atlanta! You can eat in but most people get to go. Not many tables to eat in. Order at counter.

Excellent service. She doesn't know me by name but when it comes to my order, she knows I mostly like super spicy, extra hot, triple in garlic sauce, but sometimes I just like the mild.. If my friend is reading this, I want to let you know that I recommend Hop Shings Excellent service and THE FOOD SPEAKS FOR ITSELF!!! HOP SHINGS IS ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Let me tell you this. This is the BEST Chinese in this area. I place an order, do the groceries at Publix, and then pick up the food. I always order 麻婆豆腐, which is not on the menu, the sesame chicken, and the sea food delight.

My wife and I have gotten very sick two times in the past year. Both times we ate here for dinner. The first time I thought we just had a virus, but there is definitely a correlation now. We had chicken Lo mein, garlic beef, hot and sour soup and egg drop soup. Unfortunately we won’t be eating here anymore now. They need to review their food safety practices.

I ordered the moo goo gai pan fried rice combo which came with an egg roll. All of it was DELICIOUS!! I also got wonton soup that was amazing!! I rated a 5 for atmosphere because it is mainly take out but the place is immaculate and you can see the kitchen right behind the cashier. I will be going back regularly!! The combo and a quart of the soup was only $16.00. Killer price!

I was one of thier first customers. This once authentic Chinese restaurant is now a salt & bacteria bath. They have Mexicans cooking the food and taking orders. The personality of the cashier is no more than ghetto. The Mexicans cooking the food sprinkle what taste like unhealthy table salt. Everyone is wearing street clothes with no hair nets, and handling food without gloves. This may be okay for their Mexican clientele but for me, it's a bacteria haven. I'm disappointed in the Asain owners decision to use other nationalities to benef3it their business while compromising thier cuisine. I'm no longer a patron of Hop Shing restaurant.

This place used to be so good! Maybe it was a bad day, but it definitely didn’t taste the same. The egg roll was soft and had a terrible taste. I had to throw it away. The wings didn’t have that taste that we all know Chinese restaurants has. The taste was off. The rice was really good, but that’s it.

Food was gross. I got general tso’s with fried rice and shrimp and garlic with fried rice. I came here thinking this place was ny style based on the reviews but i clearly was misled. The rice was so bland & had no taste at all. It also had a weird after taste. The general tso was spicy but not sweet and spicy like I was used too. Also, the shrimp and garlic sauce didn’t taste right. The flavor is just off at this place. It’s definitely not ny style. I don’t know what that was. Mexican style? Lol, but the owner was very nice and had great customer service. 1/10. Will never come back.

I arrived at the restaurant at 950. The door was open and the open sign was on. The lady said,Hello!” I picked up a menu then she said,”We’re closed”! She could’ve told me that as soon as I walked in the door. I will never go back again.

This is the best Chinese take out I’ve had since I was a kid. Delicious food at a great value made quick. The Pork Egg Foo Young is absurdly good.

Food is pretty decent; but it made me sick. First time I ate it, gave me stomach issues.. wasn’t sure if it was the food until I ate my left overs the next day and had the very same problem. Don’t know if I’ll risk it again

Have been looking for a good Chinese food place. This one was so-so. General Tsoa's chicken was good, spicy. The fried rice was actually the worst fried rice I've ever had. Kind of bland and didn't like the taste. The beef and broccoli taste was really off IMO. Got this for my kid thinking it would be a safe choice, but I tried it and it wasn't good at all. The flavoring on beef is too Spicy. Got the fried plantains, very good. Got the donuts, good but need more sugar. I think if the fried rice had been better it would have saved it.

Very nice and helpful service. Not a “huge” eat in restaurant but the option is there. The food I had was pretty good and they gave a lot of it!

Would give zero stars if I could. Ordered online using their online menu. Arrived and was asked for my car and charged way more than what’s online. Then the pull out their in store menu saying they don’t use their own website. Then the tiny guy that runs the place comes out yelling in another language saying to take my food and give me My money back. Hands down terrible service and the food isn’t good enough to tolerate it

I've been dining here for over 15 years. The food is amazing, and the pop rice is right. Everyone is so nice, and the owner always remembers your name, and your favorite order. The restaurant is always so clean. I wont frequent any other Chinese restaurant.
