I wish my experience had been better. Everything started great when I chose Dr.B as my OBGYN. She was caring, compassionate and knowledgeable. She took her time during our appointment and listened to my needs. Once I found out I was pregnant, things changed. Dr. B wasn’t available to see me so they scheduled me with Dr Melissa Counihan, who was the only one with availability. At my first appointment, which was a delicate time, dr counihan did not even take the time to introduce herself and get to know us, my husband thought she was a nurse. She simply walked in with her ultrasound machine, asked if we had been planning , which I said “no it was a bit of a surprise.” Her response was “well, not really, you know how it works,” in a very sarcastic tone. She didn’t explain what she was doing and simply did the ultrasound. Once she was done she said , “well I can’t see a fetal pole, so I can’t confirm anything, Come back in two weeks and I need you to do labs.” She simply left, didn’t explain anything and that was that. We were left in panic, and distraught… I work in healthcare and no that’s not how you treat your patients. I hope she realizes she needs to be a bit more compassionate especially when working with already fragile pregnant women as it’s a fragile time.

Dr. Sheena Harmon, has got to be, hands down, the kindest, most empathetic gynecologist I've ever had. She patiently listens, and provides such excellent, caring advice. I trust her completely and and would recommend any patient, family, or friend to her. I had a wonderful experience under her care, and both she and her staff treated me very well.

Overtest, underdeliver, and overcharge. Also, an extreme lack of professionalism. My wife has been a patient here for a few years and has had varied levels of success. Recently we had an appointment with Dr. Counihan. I accompanied my wife to this appointment and was surprised to have to wait over 45 minutes after her scheduled appointment to actually be brought back to wait even longer to see Dr. Counihan. I've had better experiences with the xfinity guy's scheduled repair window! On my wife's previous appointment she had blood work done (which when I look up seems to be largely unnecessary). I was at the office simply accompanying my wife and within minutes of being in the same room with Dr. Counihan she's trying to get me to roll MY sleeve up to get blood work from me! I told her I didn't want blodwork done today, but she kept trying to push me into it. I felt highly pressured in the situation and I'm not even a patient of hers. You know, because I'm not a woman. I told her that the blood work was expensive (my wife had to pay $300 out of pocket for it), and she said it should be covered by insurance. I told her insurance said that it was not covered (we checked), and she finally dropped it. My wife had some other relatively standard things done on this visit, and one of the larger things she had done I asked how much it would cost, Dr. Counihan said she could have it written up, but we shouldn't worry it will be covered by insurance. It wasn't. We got a $500 bill. My wife called the office and confronted them about what was said in the office, and the reality of the situation which showed itself on the bill, and do you think they agreed to work with us on the bill? Of course not. And for the cherry on top, they do not validate parking, there's another $12 🙄

You have to pay to park. Dr. Melissa Counihan was dismissive and rude. She intentionally tested me for something I didn't want then did not test me for what I asked for. My husband could not believe the non-sense she was spewing during my visit. She said things that are just not true. She prescribed medication without knowing any of my medical history. Honestly I'm glad I saw the true her prior to getting too deep in the process. I'm very happy that I switched. I now have a doctor that took the time to read my records, ask me questions, not rush me and made me feel like he sincerely cares about my health. You are a check to Dr. Counihan nothing more nothing less. She lacks bedside manor and needs to remember why she became a Doctor, or maybe that's the problem all together. Find a doctor that loves what they do! She does NOT!

Dr. Counihan does not come across compassionate or caring. She does not explain medical conditions well. You can get more answers from the internet. I suggest bringing in a list of written questions because she won't offer any information. I also felt very rushed and like I was an inconvenience during appointments. I didn't feel as though she examined my breasts well during a well-woman visit when she knows I have breast cancer on both sides of my family. I wouldn't recommend her. She is nice but comes across lazy. I didn't feel she was thorough at all. I would not be comfortable having her as my doctor for pregnancy or childbirth. I had a procedure done with her and she didn't check my incisions at the post op visit. She also charged my pre-op visit as a $150 office charge when literally all we did was sign a consent form. Billing and scheduling is not the greatest either. Not a bad place but severely mediocre. Would not recommend.

Had great experiences with the practice. There has been beautiful moments and sad moments, but Dr. B has helped us through all of them. Most recently, there is a nurse named Nicole at the Collier office, we have seen her twice now. What an incredible asset she is to the practice. I can’t say enough good things about her professionalism, and care. Truly felt like she was a patient advocate.

First appointment was today and the whole experience was positive. Great staff and Dr. McSwain was everything you want in a physician. I will be back.

Dr. Sheena Harmon has been my OB for a few years, and I have had nothing shy of an absolutely amazing experience with her. She is well-researched, yet wildly compassionate and relatable. Despite an unfortunate turn of events during my labor, she held it together, kept me safe, worked quickly, and ensured our baby was safe and sound with us. I wish I could give her 10 stars. I've referred all of my friends and loved ones to her. She is one of the best providers I've had!

I was scheduled for a new patient appointment with Dr. Harmon at 8:40am on 10/7/21. After waiting for a month to get this appt, I attempt to drive to the address that I had to find on Google since I never received an email with the address as the scheduler said I would. Once I got to the address where Google said the dr office was located I realized I had to be in the wrong place as I was on a side street full of industrial looking sheds. I had been calling the dr’s office number since 8:30am (they office hours say they open at 8:30), but the automated after hours voicemail kept answering saying they were closed. I didn’t get to speak to an employee of the office until 8:51am, and when I did I was advised that they don’t open until 8:45am. After explaining to her that I was lost and frustrated about not having the address in an email like the lady who scheduled my appt told me I would, and how I felt about being scheduled at a time before they open she responded in an exasperated tone (as if she was the patient experiencing the issues!!!!) and said they’ve talked to the office MANAGER plenty of times about scheduling conflicts but the issue persists and they only have ONE LINE for all 3 different locations so she’d have to call them to see if they could still see me and then call me back (keep in mind that I’m still in the middle of the street lost she hadn’t given me an address to go to either), and she also made a statement about the dr’s schedule as if I’m not a working adult with a schedule as well! Not that the dr doesn’t need to be on schedule, but the way she said it and the timing was poor when I’m a new patient having issues that derived from negligence their office! It completely upset me, disappointed me, inconvenienced me, and now I still haven’t seen a dr and I’ve been waiting to see this specific dr for a while! I only wrote this review because I held my tongue on the phone as I didn’t want to disrespect anybody out of frustration, but that was not okay and sorry was not enough!!!!!!!

I've been a patient of Dr Counihan's for a couple of years. During a recent event, she was very compassionate and caring. She provided the assurance I needed and called with updates when she said she would. My experience with Dr Counihan has been positive.

Dr. Sheena Harmon is an amazing Gynecologist. She makes you feel very comfortable and answers all your questions. So happy I found this clinic. Her nurse Tori is also wonderful. Lovely staff at the front desk too.

Front office staff: 5 stars Cleanliness: 5 stars Medical assistants: 5 stars Nurses: I'm not sure I've met any, but maybe I have. It's hard to know who is a medical assistant and who is a nurse. Ultrasound techs: 3 stars for one, 5 stars for the other. One of them does not like to insert the probe, she wants you to do it. Kind of hard, unless you have really long arms. I've not had a tech ask me to do that, ever, until I came here. But, it's only one of them. The other tech is good. Lab: 5 stars Doctors: 3 stars. I have not seen them wash their hands when they enter and exit the room. I feel this is unsettling. I have seen the use of hand sanitizer, but with such intimate exams, I would prefer to see hand washing for 25 seconds upon entry and exit. They try to be thorough. They try to find out what's going on with you. They make proper referrals. The reason for the 3 stars is, it is very important to listen to the patient. If she says she does not want a procedure, or an exam, don't talk her into what she just said she does not want. Just explain the risks, benefits, opportunities, and threats. After that, just do what she asks. Don't demand she tell you why. No, means, no. You have to understand that we are not in a position to negotiate when our clothes are off. That is an inherent imbalance of power. People "replay" the "tapes" from unwanted exams. (meaning revisit the unwanted exams over and over) Don't put them through this. I clearly said I didn't want a thing, but I was not heard. Ladies, just take someone with you during your exam, like family or mate. Clearly, you may benefit from someone being there to fight for you.

Worst gynecologist I ever visited -I lost a job because they wouldn’t fill out required medical forms -I had to call 4 TIMES to get a prescription refilled -I had an appointment and called multiple times to tell them I was stuck in traffic but outside of the building. They waited until I WALKED IN THE OFFICE to cancel my appointment! Even though I left my home on time and there was an obvious traffic jam right outside of their offices!! I have never experienced the incompetence, inconvenience, and laziness with a doctor that I have at this office. Please believe the multiple bad reviews. This is the WORST gyno office in Atlanta and I will never come here again

I had a new patient appointment with Dr.Knoer at the vinnings location. I will not be a returning turning patient. Triage Nurse Margerie is insensitive and unprofessional. She should not being working in healthcare. I’m currently waiting on a callback from office manager Michelle. Worst experience ever. I wish I never completed my appointment there. I will be watching my insurance to see how I am billed

Love every Dr in this practice. I originally started with Dr. Dozier, she is extremely knowledgeable and has a calm personality which is needed in a high risk pregnancy. I switched to Roberts since Dozier would be out during the timeframe of my delivery. I love Dr. Roberts and his nurse so much, they are so friendly and make me very comfortable. I know I can ask anything and he will give an educated and well thought out answer. Dr. Matthew actually did my C-Section and she was also amazing and had excellent bedside manner and follow up after my son was born. Love this practice so much that I plan on driving an hour there for future pregnancies.

I am usually seen on time when I attend appointments for my prenatal care (with the exception of a few visits where I was waiting in the waiting room for over 15 minutes). Most of the providers are really great, especially Dr. Harmon. She is so friendly, patient, and is amazing at communicating with me. My biggest area of feedback would be around Dr. Counihan. She was condescending during my visit, essentially making it seem as if my pre-natal care was not a priority for me simply because I willingly chose to be seen a week later for something that I am aware of the risks for delaying. I do not understand why it is okay to delay visits when the practice does not even have the openings in order for me to be seen within certain weeks, but when I choose to schedule a visit around what works best for me, it seems to be a real issue. As a paying customer, I really do not understand why some providers feel entitled to speak to their patients in any unfriendly and dismissive manner. After my care concludes at this practice, I will not be recommending it or returning here for future needs, unless I know I will only be working with Dr. Harmon.

Just saw Dr. Matthew and I always have great visits with her. I can tell she cares and I haven’t seen her in years prior to this appointment and she covered all my concerns and plans that she has for me. The office staff is very welcoming, helpful and they all speak so calmly, I love it. Eases my nerves lol! My appointment was quick but covered everything I needed and more!!! Love them!!!

Dr.Sheena Harmon is the epitome of what a caring, kindhearted, patience, trusting, and intelligent human being. She was so patience with me answering all my questions and making sure I felt comfortable with every decision we made together. I’m so honor to call her my OBGYN. Book your appointment today, it will be a gift to just meet her.

I was delivered by this practice at Piedmont decades ago and have been seen by doctors here for the last 10+ years. My physician, Dr. Counihan is kind, thoughtful, patient, and takes time to answer my questions. At the Collier road location, they are able to do several same day diagnostic tests that save time of having to return (blood work, ultrasounds, etc.). They also have a FANTASTIC nursing staff. I was prescribed a necessary, but expensive, medication that was denied by my insurance provider. Dr. Counihan's triage nurse and the finance team spent MONTHS fighting on my behalf to get my medication approved by my insurance company. It would not have been possible without their diligence and persistence. They were communicative and patient and followed up with me about the process throughout. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Counihan and the staff at Peachtree Women's Specialists.

Dr Harmony’s bedside manner is what other doctors should subscribe to. She listens, asks clarifying questions and leaves you feeling cared for. She does an excellent job inviting you into the decisions regarding your care. Love her! CT
