I have been at American top team on and off for 14 years. I have been to different gyms in Atlanta other states but I always end up at American top team. Jucao and his team are top notch and will definitely help you improve your game whether you are a beginner or a seasoned fighter. If you are trying to become a world champion, trying to get in shape or just want some self defense knowledge this is the place to go. The culture at American top team is awesome, all the people that train there are friendly and helpful. If you are in Atlanta you definitely need to take a couple of classes.

I am visiting from Florida and dropped in to get some training in. Right away you can tell it's a friendly and welcoming atmosphere- Roan and Jake were super cool about me coming in and the students there were great. Class started on time with a solid warm up, drills, and finished with a Roan teaching us a pass that we all got plenty of reps in on. There was plenty of time left to roll and everybody- from the blue belts to the brown- were solid. 10/10 will revisit. Oss!

I’ve been a member of ATT Atl for four years. I can say without any uncertainty that this is my favorite place to be in Atlanta. The people I interact with there I consider family. The level of training there can be wherever need it to be… all are treated with respect. Whether you are an absolute first timer in a martial arts gym or a professional MMA fighter you can find what you need here. The coaching staff are all highly knowledgable and lead by a true OG in the game Roan “Jucao” Carneiro. Hesitate no longer… come on down and train with us. All are welcome!!

I can’t believe I waited this long to find this gym. My friend told me about it for about two years and I was like naaaah because I’ve studied a different kind of martial art. Let me tell you I’ve never experienced such amazing, talented fighters be so humble. There’s so much respect in this place, so much talent so much skill and a mountain of humility. This place has changed my life. My level of joy is 40% higher since I have found this gym. There are real, grounded, loyal practitioners there. There’s so much respect I can’t say enough good things about this gym.

Excellent gym! Stopped in to train while traveling. Everyone was welcoming and friendly. The 6:30 BJJ class was great and challenging. Will definitely stop in again, the next time I'm in Atlanta. Highly recommended for those that live in the area or visiting.

Fallows coach Jake and friends to American Top Team Atlanta since August 2013, I train there almost 5 years. This gym always make me want to challenge my life limited level by level. Challenging my BJJ skills, my age, my body, my mind and my life. I feel exciting every time when I in the gym. Feel learning to be better of my life every day. And feel worn like warm like back to another home.

This is hands-down the most elite and professional staff of athletes I have ever been around. A small amount of research will show the crazy amount of experience each teacher here has. You wont find another gym like this one.

A Monumental and Unrivaled Ode to Martial Prowess: America Top Team Oh, what an ineffable delight it is to finally pen my most laudatory and effusive sentiments regarding the veritable pantheon of martial arts mastery that is America Top Team! This esteemed institution not only embodies the apotheosis of combat sports education but has, with its formidable prowess, propelled itself into the hallowed echelons of athletic preeminence. Upon crossing the hallowed threshold of this magnificent temple dedicated to the noble art of combat, one is instantly enveloped in a veritable miasma of camaraderie and ardor that sets the senses alight. The atmosphere brims with the unmistakable aura of greatness, a testament to the numerous legends who have been sculpted within these hallowed halls. The scholarly sagacity of the coaches, a cadre of illustrious pedagogues, is truly beyond compare. With their encyclopedic knowledge and daedal approach to instruction, they are veritable martial arts virtuosos. Their tutelage extends far beyond the mere mechanics of technique, delving into the psychosomatic intricacies of optimal performance, fostering an intellectual renaissance within their disciples. In this sublime arena, where the esoteric wisdom of the ages is gracefully transmitted, one cannot help but feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude to be in the presence of such august luminaries. It is as if the very essence of Sun Tzu's “The Art of War” has been distilled into an elixir, which, when imbibed, imbues one with the Herculean strength and cunning of the greatest warriors in history. The facilities themselves are a veritable cornucopia of state-of-the-art equipment, fastidiously maintained to ensure that the modern-day gladiators who train here are afforded every opportunity to hone their formidable skills. The meticulous attention to detail is truly awe-inspiring, and it is patently clear that no expense has been spared in the quest to create the ultimate training environment. In conclusion, dear reader, I implore you to cast aside any lingering doubts and to embrace the unparalleled experience that awaits you at America Top Team.

My 9 y/o son has been learning jiu jitsu here for about 2 months and we’ve had a great experience as far as the training goes but that’s not why I’m writing this review. As you can imagine, an enclosed space w/lots of sweaty adults all day might reek a bit. Quite a bit - stated lightly. One day a couple of weeks ago, I brought this to the attention of the nice guy who works the sign up because the smell was overbearing. He thanked me for letting him know and since then, the smell has DRASTICALLY improved. Thank you for listening to your customers and taking action. This is a 5 star experience.

I've been training at ATT atlanta since 2019 and it's been awesome. It's a great community of people and fighters and the coaches are amazing and put in the time with you if you show that you care. There are several options for training.

I've worked at a martial arts gym and trained at several different ones. ATT Atl has awesome vibes. The teachers and teammates are a good mix of tough and friendly. Jucao is an OG of the game. Jake is pretty great too with his leg locks and Marshall is patient. Things stay laid back and everyone is welcoming. Best believe more than one champion will emerge from here. As you can see in the picture, the late Anthony Bourdain had visited and trained here as well. 🤙🏽

Hands down best place to train in Atlanta. Jucao, Mike, Jake, Tubbs, and Harris are the perfect mixture of being very down to earth while also being very highly skillful athletes. I've been lucky to have trained with over 30 gyms in the US since I started training, and ATT Atlanta is hands down the best. On top of that when I first moved to Atlanta nine months ago Coach/Champ Mike Galitello was the first person I met in the city and became my first friend I made here as well.

After moving to Atlanta, I searched for a new Jiu Jitsu home. I’ve had a wonderful experience training with ATT and I have been impressed with the professionalism, the organization, class beginning on time, the cleanliness, and friendliness. Being a female who trains in a male dominated sport, it can be very intimidating to walk into a new gym and not know what to expect. ATT has been a comforting experience where I feel at home. I highly encourage and recommend anyone who is new to try ATT because your first experience training is important to be a good one. Five stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Came in for a no-gi BJJ class while traveling home to take care of a sick family member. I had a great experience here and would recommend it to anyone regardless of skill level. The coach and students are all super friendly and welcoming and although most people here practice jiu jitsu at a high level I felt accommodated as a newer white belt. Challenging and fun. Will definitely be signing up if I can make it work with travel.

If you’re looking for a real school taught by real fighters, real competitors who are well connected in the BJJ and MMA world, this is it. This place accommodates a wide range of skill levels, and you determine your own pace. This is not a strip mall karate franchise - all classes are led and taught by competition tested black belts or in the case of Muay Thai and MMA, you’ll find current and former professional fighters teaching. My whole family has trained here for 4 years, including my wife, son and daughter. And the entire community at this gym has become part of our extended family. You’ll find people from all walks of life here - families, college students, middle age men and women and finally, many pro fighters call this their home gym. As for the instructors, the best you can find: Giovanni is absolutely the best kids instructor you will find in ATL. He makes the kids class fun, and you won’t find many other kids programs with a Brazilian black belt teaching. Mike is an amazing pro MMA veteran, BJJ black belt and all around killer fight coach. He keeps the gym running smooth, and will give you a workout that you’ll feel for days after. Jake is laid back, insanely knowledgeable black belt and brings a “new school” vibe to the BJJ scene. Jucao, a legend on his own, has created an amazing legacy here with several black belts under his tutelage, on the mat, rolling and coaching as they go. All the other schools in town pay homage to this one. Bottom line - no better place to train in ATL.
