One of my favorite places for Chinese food around Atlanta. The dishes may not be 100% traditional Chinese, but 100% delicious. Had deep fried spicy eggplants and the pork dumplings. Good price. 10/10 for both - def recommended! Parking is also very convenient!

The Food Network rated Gu's dumplings as the best dumplings in Atlanta and I can't agree more. They are full of flavor, and by far the best dumplings I've ever tried! They are sweet and savory, and very juicy. You can adjust the spicy levels which is always a plus. I've only been twice but my favorite dish from Gu's Kitchen is the chicken with broccoli & cilantro. Paired with their chili oil, and chef's kiss, it gives the food extra dimension! I had to get a whole bottle of it. I do recommend getting a side of white rice since the entrees don't come with some. FYI there's no dine in right now but definitely still worth the try!

With a few days advanced notice they were able to reserve a table for our party of eight. I was looking for a delicious Chinese owned restaurant that we could order authentic dishes as we discussed our book Shanghai Sisters. The menu was robust, the service was incredible and all of my friends had rave reviews about what I found. Everyone loved the eggplant with basil. It was fresh and delicious and bright with the basil. The Shanghai street noodles with shrimp were light but filling. The Mongolian beef was full of flavor and paired great with the fried rice. The dumplings were delicious and were in the spicy side so out of my group there were a couple that preferred less spices. The string beans were a suggestion from the server and they didn’t disappoint. They were a great addition as we ordered family style and passed the plates around. This was plenty of food for our party of eight. If you have a chance make sure you get an order of the crab Rangoons, they come out nice and hot and have a creamy center.

We had a pleasant lunch at Gu’s. The staff truly cared about our dining experience and were willing to accommodate! Now to the food: order the dumplings, they’re sooo flavorful and tender! Also try the sweet and spicy noodles. They aren’t overly spicy, just the right amount of kick 🌶️

Had a good first-time visit. The Pork Zhong Style Dumplings were well-made, a little sweet. The Handmade Sweet and Spicy Thick Noodles were interesting...thickest noodles I've ever seen. The Stir-Fried String Beans were excellent. Everything was fresh and well-prepared, with good portions. You order and pay up front and then they provide full service at your table after that.

Gu’s kitchen has a variety of Szechuan dishes and is very vegetarian friendly. I was not a fan of the dumplings at all, the wrapper was properly steamed but the inside was kinda like raw dough and didn’t taste good. The Szechuan mala hot pot tofu noodles were REALLY amazing though. The tofu was hella crispy and the noodles had an earthy, Szechuan flavor pop to them. I would highly recommend one of the noodles dishes.

We ordered their dumplings, poboy chicken sandwich and the sichuan chicken curry. Food tasted good. I liked their po boy sandwich the most. Portions were reasonable. It's a simple no frill restaurant. Liked their cleanliness. Costed us $65 for dinner for 2.
