This was by far the worst jerk food I have EVER consumed. The chicken was not grilled or seasoned. It was merely…hot! And jerk chicken consists of more than just trying to make someone’s nose run. The greens were straight from the can. No added seasoning to disguise the fact that it was not fresh at all. Do not waste your money or anticipation of good food from this establishment that falls short of delivering GOOD Jamaican cuisine.

There aren't a lot of options for Jamaican food in the area and have been wanting to try flacks for a while. I ordered the jerk chicken and oxtail combo and had a pineapple upside down cake for dessert. Overall the food was pretty good. The chicken and oxtails had nice flavour and the chicken wasn't dry. Nothing that made me excited but I wasn't disappointed. The service however was poor and the food doesn't make up for it. I rarely complain about service but I don't like to be ignored and have little acknowledgement from the staff. Not a place I plan on coming to again.

Walked in planning to order to go but sit and eat a portion there. Wrong move. I, like the 4 people who walked in and ordered to go, was seemingly put in the back of the ghost queue. We all waited at least 30 minutes before receiving our food. Meanwhile, 10 minutes into my wait, a guy walks in, orders for here, gets his food, finishes it, and leaves before 3 of the 5 people ahead of him get their food. Chicken was moist. The jerk seasoning could use more flavor, though, it wasn't terrible. But when you run out of vegetables and offer me more plantains instead, can you at least make it look like you have me more plantains? I'd hate to see what a regular portion that comes with an entree looks like...

Very low proportioned plate for a Jamaican restaurant. It was ok rice was dry but the presentation was amazing. I rather a sloppy big plate with a bunch of flavor than a pretty one. Definitely have to do better. The Mac and cheese was good though

Incredible! Every item was delicious and perfectly prepared. We ordered the chicken curry daily special and the combo pork & chicken plate. Tons of food in both, yet somehow we ate it all. We can't wait to come back to try other menu items, especially the meat pies.

Great food, spice level was perfect and we will go back. The Jerk was the best I have had in along time, it added to the flavor of the chicken and pork but did not over power its natural flavor. The sides I like as well my favor was the rice and beans. Now my wife who I went there with her favorite was the plantains. Only wish I had was that they had red stripe beer but the Jamician sodas where a great replacement.

A great mix of poor cooking and poor customer service. They had half of my order 'done' seconds after I placed it, so the lukewarm premade sides got thoroughly cold while it took them over 30 minutes to make the rest...which was 1 burger with fries. And you could absolutely tell the fries that came with it were also sitting around for a bit before they double-dipped them in hot oil to try to pass as fresh. And believe me...when the mac 'n' cheese and fries are cold, you can really taste the dirty dishes they're cooked and kept in.

Awesome little gem in SSF serving up some amazing Jamaican food. I've been coming to this location for years as well as the Frisco location. Nothing but authentic good eats here recommend dishes Mac & cheese, corn crusted shrimp jerk chicken wings. I either get the Oxtail combo plate served with stewed veggies, red beans & rice and fried plantains. Or on Thursdays only they have a special pineapple BBQ ribs wow so good. Price is fair and service is quick.

As far as Jamaican food goes, this place comes close to creating an authentic experience. My co-workers and I ordered carry out from this place for lunch, and we were impressed with the food. We all ordered the Jerk chicken (pretty standard) and we also ordered the Mac n Cheese to share. I love that you can order the Jerk chicken and it comes with a side of rice and beans (or rice and peas as they call it in Jamaica) and some plantains. The chicken had a nice kick to it, but it wasn't overwhelming. The rice and beans complements it well (I will say the rice in Jamaica generally has more of a coconut flavor, but this rice was still good). The plantains were one of the best aspects of the meal, and the Mac n Cheese was very good too. I'm looking forward to trying the rum cake next time, and possibly some of the other dishes.

The server wasn't friendly but the food was TOP NOTCH! The snapper, rice, beans and veggies were so good. The snapper was so flavorful and light. I mean I have never had fish dish that I would miss after leaving a city.

First and foremost, I ABSOLUTELY do NOT appreciate being put to sleep like this. I had to power through a 2 hour ride back home after tasting all of this delectable goodness, and I have yet to receive an apology. The way your food has rocked me VIOLENTLY into a slumber, unacceptable. My fork will never forgive you. I WILL return, and I WILL tell my associates about said treatment. If there is any ox left with a tail in the Bay Area, it belongs to YOU, Flavas. Now GO.

This was the absolute worst Jamaican food I have ever had. I wouldn’t even call the chicken jerk, because it lacked jerk season and I have no idea what type of jelly looking sauce they put it on was. The rice and beans were tasteless, overcooked, and sticky. The cabbage lacked seasoning and not cooked long enough. The beef patty was nasty too. It was literally a waste of my money, as I didn’t eat any of it.

This was my first time here and overall it was ok. I love the vibe of the place. The music playing is great and it has the feel of an authentic Jamaican food spot. I tried several items on the menu. The beef patties, Mac and cheese, jerk chicken, ox tails, plantains, and rice and beans. The jerk chicken was probably my favorite item. They have a kiosks at the front counter that you can use to manually put in your order, but apparently they don't own it, so if you order something through it, that they don't have, they can't refund you your money. That issue and my order being wrong is what caused my service score to be lower.
