I live a short drive away from the Luther Burbank Home & Gardens. When I am in a reflective mood, I like to stop by and enjoy the serenity of this beautiful garden. His well maintained home and greenhouse on the grounds give us an opportunity to glimpse the past in all its splendor. I stopped by yesterday, the last day of 2021. The garden is quiet this time of year. The vibrant blooms of flowers will be more prevalent in the coming months, but it is still an awe inspiring experience. The man that could make a flower left future generations a Historic Landmark for all of us to enjoy.

I enjoyed seeing a number of volunteer workers caring for the grounds. My third trip here and the grounds are all I have seen. Beautiful variety of flowering and non-flowering plants.

Very cute tiny garden, but it's for free. The staffs in the visitor center were fantastic and explained best places in Sonoma.

Although when we went there it was already after 4pm and the houses were closed, we had a very peaceful and nice walk. It is a peace of history. Luther Burbank worked with new types of plants, some eatable and others just flowers, but beautiful. There is no specific parking lot and no restrooms. Worth a visit though!

Paramahansa Yogananda, the great Indian Guru dedicated his "Autobiography of A Yogi" to the Memory of Luther Burbank who he regarded as "An American Saint" and "A Saint Amid the Roses." They were close friends, and after Burbank passed away in 1926, Yogananda said "his soul is enshrined for me in every wide-eyed flower that blooms by the wayside."

This garden is a wonderful get away in central Santa Rosa. It's peaceful and beautiful. Whether a 15 minute walk or sitting on a bench for an hour to take it all in, this garden has something for everyone.

Came here during January, the plants are dry. Good for a short walk but not much to see. The good thing is you can learn about the famous Luther Burbank's plants.

Once in your life you should visit and take the time to learn about the important work once done here. Horticulture has a lot of great minds and the Burbanks rank at the top. Take the house tour when it opens back up. Ask about Frida and Diego.

Sad looking historic place with lots of potential. Gardens were pretty but not well cared for. Property is open to anyone so there were several homeless wandering through.

Peacefull and nice, best two words to describe this garden. Not to big, not to small. Free to visit!

What an amazing stop! We stopped by to see what Paramahansa Yogananda was so intrigued by this spot and we understand now. Botany, Horticulture, Peace, and Beauty. We are planning another trip in the spring to see the full glory and splendor.

Really well kept grounds but much more beautiful during the spring or summer seasons I'm sure.

It was a lovely day to walk thru this beautiful garden. The roses are so pretty, and there were many other spring flowers. You can take a tour of the house and grounds. I had done it before, so not on this day.

So lovely. A little garden in the city centre. Very informative about the plants, house and the man himself. Entrance to the garden is free of charge. The House is closed on Mondays.

This place is one of my favorites. The romantic atmosphere along with a mini water fountain and the smell of flowers is all you need after a stressful day. Get out of the house and enjoy avery beautiful garden. To my surprise the restroom was open and also clean. it is also very educational for the history of the site for your children. i suggest a quick nap or a family picnic is ideal. Go there!
