The first time we went to a Shabu buffet was in Seattle named Shaburina which we liked very much. Yesterday was my daughter’s 18th birthday and she wanted Shabu again. This time she’d found Shabuya which seemed to be similar as the one we ate in Seattle. I believe this one has just opened not very long and it’s in a very nice shopping center in McCarthy Ranch, the place was Banana Leaf a few years ago. There are quite a few tables with individual burner, the vegetables and sauce buffet table is in the front, there are gloves for people to wear due to COVID19 and each table only one could come at a time. There are 3 types of broths, we had miso and original, they were flat for me, I need to add soy sauce. The vegetables buffet has a few types of noodles, seafood and vegetables of different types for hot pot. There are only 2 sauces which are good for me. My family only used Ponzu. The price for Monday was $27.99 per person, normal meats, and you have 90 minutes to finish your meal, for us it’s plenty long. The meat selections only has 8 types and they’re paper thin slices, the meats actually so thin that they broke stuck on the metal plate while you pull them up with your chopsticks, you must be extremely skillful to pick them up from the plate, since I wasn’t so skillful, I just took all 4 slices to my hot pot as bundle and believe me, it’s about 2 bites. All 4 of us, we can only order 4 plates at one time and god forbid if they don’t have these young and fast servers, we’ll never finish our meal in 90 minutes due to waiting for meats. I think the way Shaburina operates better, each has up to 4 plates so each can order what he/she likes instead of the whole table get 1 plate for each person. I didn’t like this at all. The meats were paper thin therefore they’re quite tender regardless of what type you ordered, we ordered all 8 types and I couldn’t distinguish the taste of each because they’re all the same. I have to admire their slicer machine, never seen this thin slice of meat before. The chicken appetizers were quite taste IMO, my kids like them too. I tried both and one was better than the other, the non spicy one. My wife likes clams so she ate a whole bunch. The mussels were very soft, no texture and taste at all, should stay away. So for $28, it’s quite good, although I was warned to get charged for leftovers, but with the way they serve the thin slice meats, each plate is only worth 2 bites or one with a hungry one, and the wait, there’s no way anyone could waste any meats if that’s what they worry about. If you have a big party, 90 minutes may not enough because you have to wait for the servers to get the order and bring them to you. I have to give my server 5 stars because he’s extremely attentive, pleasant and fast LOL. My son didn’t want to wait so he just got noodles and quail eggs to make his hot pot. So the 5 stars is from my daughter since she chose this place, I and my wife wasn’t thrilled with the way they served. Will we come back again? Daughter said yes, not sure if the rest would.

My brother bragged about this place and he couldn't wait to take us here for a family dinner. Came here to check in around 7:45 pm, and got seated around 8:20 pm on a Sunday night. By 8:30 pm our waiter informed us that the kitchen was closing soon for last dinner requests, even though we just got seated 10 minutes ago. We felt super rushed to order everything. On their website, they close at 10 pm on Sundays, so we thought we had more time. We talked with the manager, Austin, and he promised that the kitchen will stay open till 9:30 pm so we can have an enjoyable experience. By 9 pm, our waiter, Drew informed us that the kitchen could not do any more chicken karaage, which is not what the manager promised us. This was super disappointing to most of us, as we were really there for the chicken karaage. In addition, the employees started pouring BLEACH on the floor at 9 pm, right behind our table, so while we were trying to enjoy our food, STRONG BLEACH smells overtook our noses, therefore our tastebuds were skewed due to the strong-smelling bleach that we were smelling WHILE eating our food - spoiled the whole experience. What restaurant starts cleaning up and pours bleach on the floor while there are still tables with patrons eating? This was the very first time I've ever experienced this at ANY restaurant. While Austin and Drew did their best in serving us, I believe this falls on the management - you cannot start cleaning the restaurant while there are still patrons eating at your establishment. In addition, the Men's bathroom sink did not produce any water to wash your hands (was told by our party) and they did not have any signs letting customers know about this beforehand.

We had a really good time here enjoying All you can eat! I had spicy miso soup and two of my friends got the original soup. Our table's heating device was quite slow to make the soup boil. However, with a little bit more time, we had no problem enjoying an endless array of meats and variable vegetables and sauces. Tip: first boil your vegetables first to make your soup taste more dynamic. Also the more you cook meat slices, the soup will taste better and better. Once you are about 80% full, go to the salad bar, get noodles, and eggs. Then, cook your noodles with eggs. It will be amazing.

Shabu Shabu restaurant in the Milpitas Ranch area. There is some wait time during lunch hours. Spacious seating arrangements. Each dinner has own hotpot, and picks up own items for the pot from a central station. The station has fish, mussels, shrimps, etc. There are varieties of veggies, noodles, vermicelli, etc. Dinner would order meat trays from waiters or waitresses. There are choices of beef, pork. Dinner can choose different type of broths for the pot.

Food was ok. They told us that the kitchen will be close at 10PM That’s why we’re ok with starting to eat at 915pm, around 940pm they told us that the kitchen is about to close and 3 min after that we couldn’t order more. It wasn’t my favorite place but they’re super nice and there’s good vibes there. I do recommend to try it and see if you like it. I’m not gonna go back.

A all you can can eat that has lots of options! You start with a broth you select poured into a bowl thats on a stove. It is easy for you can adjust the heat very easily whether you want it boiling or just hot. Moving to the buffet area, it has seafood and veggies and sauces you get yourself. However, the meats are something you order with your server, who was really nice serving us today and checked in on us pretty often! The meats are cut very very thinly at the back using machines. To be honest, most of the meats, especially the beef, taste and look really similar except for the wagyu beef. Cooking the meats and fish didnt take too long and was ready to eat in a minute or two, owing to their thin size. For the price it looks very steep but keep in mind of what you're getting into when paying this. Maybe its something to eat once in a while but with this style of restaurant and price, its something that shouldn't be a habit.

We were seated in the back area because there are 20 of us. The server didn't pass our area , we sometimes have to look for them id we need to refill the tea or order more meats. The restaurant is quite big, but the floor is a little slippery. Each person has their own pot, meat has to ordered but they have buffet for other items.

Most Korean AYCE have a time limit and it’s understandable. However, if a server grabs your bowl while you’re eating without even asking then that just being rude plain and simple. He could have asked nicely and that would have been okay. But to just grab it, then management should be training their staff better. Definitely not going back to this branch. The Concord Shabuya is much better. In this area, Super Hot in Mountain View is much better.

    - AYCE [all you can eat] ($28.99 - dinner pricing for adults) • they had all you can eat noodles, meats, seafood, veggies, and sauce bar options available id say that if you come with a smallish party like 3-4 people then its the perfect amount of people to share various rounds of meats and also loved their abundance amount of noodles, veggies, and seafood options! one thing that i wasnt a huge fan of was the small amount of soup based options - but overall my experience was pretty good; probably not something id opt for often as AYCE can sometimes be too much for me id say that this is the perfect spot with friends, family, and maybe a date? 👀 ambiance of this place would be causal and i appreciate the amount of parking available- sometimes wait times can be long so id recommend joining the wait list ahead of time through yelp ! 😌🤝🏼

First time here today ( Sunday)~ all day dinner. Quality of beef was excellent and service was good. Had Chicken Karrage for appetizer it was very crunchy and tasty 😋 The only thing was they didn't have my favorite fish ball with roe sadly... 😥 😔 Will definitely revisit again ~

We tried this place for our daughter's birthday in Dec. Their were a lot of varieties besides the meats. Veggies were clean and fresh, not withered, dry, or distasteful looking. There were seafood options and even kimchi. Meats were cut super thin, which was a plus and minus, but tasted great nonetheless. We enjoyed it overall that we returned again a month later. For the price, with the varieties and freshness, 4.5*.

4.5 stars! The best value hot pot in town! You really can't beat an all-you-can-eat lunch special for $19.99. There isn't much variety compared to other ayce spots, but the quality is there. For protein, definitely go for the beef toro or the fish fillet. I recommend the the beef prime blade if you like it more lean. The best dipping sauce is the goma sauce and I'll add a little bit of ponzu and garlic to elevate the flavors. I tried the Miso for my soup base and it was decent. I have had better from other shabu shabu places. A little too rich for me, but it added a lot of flavor to the meats. There's also a salad and sauce bar with lots of ingredients. They lack a lot of variety when it comes to vegetables though... They only really had corn, napa cabbage, and king oyster mushrooms. They were completely out of spinach and quail eggs too. I do not recommend the mussels or clams, but the fish balls and veggies I got were great! Don't go overboard with the noodles.

The restaurant is very crowded and expect a long wait time no matter when you get there. Parking was also a hot mess and unfortunately we had our car door dented in the parking lot by someone who parked next to us. Food was very good, I like the fact that everyone has their own pot for hot pot and can create a dish to their liking. You are given 90 minutes to complete your dining experience before you are booted to the curb. At first I was put off by having a time limit to enjoy dinner, but I found that it was plenty of time and we had no problems completing our dining experience within that time. Good variety of beef, pork, and seafood along with many vegetables for your hot pot, they also had many different flavors of soup stock to use as your soup base. They also had tasty choices for appetizers all included in the price. Price was just under 30 bucks a person and kids may eat free depending on their height. Interior was large and stylish, they also have a bar where you can get drinks to accompany your meal. Overall and great experience and would go again.

There are times that Shabuya was packed and we had to wait about 15-20 minutes... did we mind? nah because it was worth it. Our waitress was able to get us setup pretty quickly once we sat down; she got our drinks and broths right out and we were able to get started. While we waited for our meats to get sliced up, we got our sauces at the sauce bar and side dishes from the buffet. Everything looked and smelled good, no foul odors. Once the meat came out, it was time to start dipping. all the veggies and side dishes went in to cook and we swished the meat around to cook. Please utilize the sauce bar; the broth is made with the idea of you flavoring it to your liking. Check out the reel on IG: @phidingthefam

Party of 12 and we had to split up into 2 tables but it went pretty smoothly. The little veggie/seafood buffet was nice. The quality of the meat was alright but definitely came out way too slowly. The soju sacks were good but probably because 95% of it was just sprite. Food: 6/10 Vibes: 6/10 Service: 5/10 Value: 5/10

The meat here were fresh and delicious. There were a lot of options for self serve from seafood, fish balls, and vegetables. Definitely one of my top hotpot places in the Bay Area.

Marketing tactic to have you pay at least 18% tip for a lunch, and I regretted clicking that button out of awkwardness ever since. The server was missing for a good portion of the meal, even though there were very little people to serve. (1:30-3 on a Monday). Whenever we needed to order more food, the server wasn't there for a good few minutes. Otherwise, food was great, the shabu was great, and the food was served immediately by someone else after ordering. Maybe that's also a marketing tactic to have you grab more food from the salad bar instead of ordering more meat.

Recently saw this place on social media, and I was interested in checking it out. I'm always on the hunt for new hot pot restaurants, and this perfectly fit the bill. I usually tend to lean towards all you can eat restaurants. Coming from San Francisco, we decided to check the wait list before we left. Since the drive is about 45 minutes, getting on the waitlist through Yelp was very easy. By the time we arrived and found parking we only had to wait about 5 minutes. When we were seated, the restaurant wasn't completely full so maybe we just came on a day they weren't too busy. Ordering is pretty simple. Main meats and snack items are ordered through your server, but there is a whole bar with vegetables, seafood, starches, and other small items. They also have an area for sauces. We kept getting different flavored karaage chicken, But honestly we couldn't tell the difference between some of the ones that had sauce on them. I think my favorite meats were the beef toro and the premium ribeye. It definitely seemed that they were enforcing the 90 minute limit, but services pretty quick so you don't really have to wait long for items.

Wow, amazing. All you can eat meat and appetizers kept coming if you kept eating. Had the hot pot. Mussels, clams, chicken gyoza and lots of different veggies and noodles. I am so full. No official indoor waiting but they kindly set up a chair for my mom out of the sun.while we waited for my other brothers to arrive. And such good, attentive service unexpected from an all-you-can-eat place. Just, wow.

I arrived at 5:00 and there was no wait. Easy walk from the Hilton. Ordered the miso base and two meats. Filled the pot with some greens and away we go! Everything was very fresh and tasty!

Good place if you’re a bottomless eater. The seafood had a decent variety and meats according to my kids ,the same as all. We also had side dishes, karaage chicken, pot stickers. The karaage was over fried a bit. but, palatable. I did have squid-ward those of you have had kids will know. As always , post wherever your palate takes you.
