Hello friends, happy new year’s to everyone. Today my wife asked me to surprise her with a new location so I surprised her with Bayfront Park. The location is located at the heart of Sarasota, Florida. What is so great there is plenty of FREE parking so that is a major plus! There is also restaurants on the park and full bar selection to choose from. Plenty of things to do for single, couples, and families. Pets are welcome. Moreover, you can fish here if take boat rides out to sea. No charge to have fun here and extremely friendly environment for everyone including people who just want to workout, read, sit at the bench, take photos, of just take a nap on the green. Mostly for those parents there is a spot for kids to unwind haha. Gray place over all so I give a 5 star rating. Here are the photos and video. Enjoy friends.

Beautiful place for a walk. We went for a stroll on Thursday night. Watched Beautiful sunset. The park was clean and well taken care of. Not crowded, and people were nice.

Great dog park. Two kennels, one for small and one for large dogs. Water access, shade, artificial and natural turf. Really nice park with plenty of chairs.

The park itself is wonderful and picturesque, but trying to get there from US 41 is challenging. A lot of dog walking and looking at boats seemed like the plan of the day. Stopped at O'Leary's for a quick snack and a drink. There are swing benches, but it's best if you bring your own chair.

The breathtaking views of the bay and the surrounding skyline are simply stunning. The park offers a perfect blend of tranquility and recreation, with well-maintained walking trails and ample green spaces to relax. The marina is a boater's paradise, providing convenient docking facilities and friendly staff. Whether you're taking a leisurely stroll or enjoying a day on the water, Bayfront Park and Marina is a must-visit destination for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike. Highly recommended!

Great park along the bay for walking and sundowns. Just a few steps from downtown and Selby Gardens. Dolphins swim by most days. Wonderful views of the bay and the city. Boat tours and private boats available. Also evening party boats with live music. O’Leary’s Tiki Bar is in the park for drinks and food. Music in the evenings. There are some picnic tables and a playground opening very soon. Highly recommended. And a good place to dock your yacht if you have one.

Bayfront Park is one of my favorite spots in Downtown Sarasota to take families and engaged couples for beautiful photography. The Unconditional Surrender Statue is a must have photo on my clients list.

This place is soo cool. There are so many statues and different things to look at. They have a nice play ground. Lots of bench swings by the water. There's is even a snack shop. We walked around it a night a couple of times. It was so relaxing and peaceful. Can't wait to go back one day.

Beautiful & serene park! Lots of benches & shady areas to sit & relax. Was even able to see some manatees swimming close to shore. They’re building a brand new playground for the kids right now too.

very relaxing with nice views of the beach, got a few bench swings! short promenade Parking was completely packed on Saturday at 5pm, but I walked over from the Marie Selby gardens parking. romantic date: Marie Selby gardens followed by lunch at O'Leary's cafe, walk through Bayfront Park, sitting on a bench swing facing the water. public restrooms are clean, but the toilets are interestingly low and cold stainless steel

Quiet, beautiful, and things to do. They have yoga in the park, a half mile track to walk, ride, or run on, two restaurants right there (olearys and marina Jack's), beautiful yachts and sailboats to admire, a guided tour boat to purchase a small cruise or into the ocean..... then of course there's the downtown area within waking distance.

This is a beautiful park with benches, swings, a playground for children, plenty of green areas, hiking / walking trails, and a nice cement path around the perimeter. The park provides plenty of amazing views of the water, the marina, boats, yachts, and the downtown area of Sarasota. There is also plenty of free parking and a restaurant (Marina Jack) adjacent to the park.

Great Rocktoberfest today at Bayfront Park . It was an absolutely gorgeous afternoon, Breezy, and partly cloudy. The water was crystal clear. From a dinghy to yachts. The festival was very nice they had a huge outdoor bar . Plenty of seating as well as tables to enjoy the assortment of food trucks. There was also a Arts and craft show. A very relaxing day. Very nice park facing the waters and marina. The playground was of course the main highlight. The playground was well shaded by trees AND canopies. Perfect spot to cool down while letting our daughter play. There is also a set of tunnels at one end of the play area with plenty of seats.

Favorite spot to go downtown Sarasota. Beautiful park with lovely views; great for families and pets. A big, open area to walk or hang out, a park for kiddos, and a spot for food and drinks!

A nice stroll that can be done in less than 30 minutes, right off of the downtown Sarasota area. Very uncrowded, with ample opportunity to view both wildlife, modern construction, and boats of ginormous girth.

Bayfront park is my favorite in the Sarasota area. Close to dining and small artisan shops. Theatres and city life close by. Peaceful and serene by the Gulf. During the day or at night. Family friendly, has restrooms, tables, benches, plenty to do and a easy walk.

Beautiful park! Great place to go for a walk, relax in the shade of the trees, view the city skyline, dip your feet in the clear water, and take in the bay from one of the many benches.

I came here in the morning before 9am. Bells ring every 15 minutes on the dot. Beautiful scenic pathing overlooking the entire key. Plenty of older folks are getting their walking in, some people doing yoga, a few people painting, some busking, and very few transients. A really nice and peaceful walk, plenty of benches to rest. The middle of the park seems to be under construction. There is a boat charter, dock, and a restaurant with open bathrooms here, albeit a little smelly. A Sarasota must-see.

Nice walking trail with views of Sarasota’s bay. Current location of the statue devoting the photographic scene after WWII of the sailor kissing a nurse on VE Day. Children’s play area attraction with pirate ship coming soon. Exercise offered in the park in the morning. Nice benches set around the sidewalk trail that also passes near moored boats.

I needed this. Beaches were very clean, not even microplastics. The people were having fun and friendly. Been a long while since I had seawater in my hair. Thanks Florida. - a Texan

The park is easy to get to with free parking, clean restrooms, a small bar/restaurant, and is kid and pet friendly. Also has boat rentals and daily cruises. At this time (March 7th, 2023), Red Tide is strong, so there are numerous dead fish that smell at the shore, so if you're sensitive to it, perhaps check the daily report first.

Beautiful little park with great views. Nice restaurants and boating opportunities. Lots of festivals held in this area. The sailor statue is immense and a great attraction. They are building what appears to be a child’s playground with a large pirate ship. It is currently fenced off. This is a nice park to watch the sunset, go in a stroll, or grab a bite to eat.

Seems to be under construction, but that didn't stop us from enjoying a walk around the path, and we brought a pub sub along and had a picnic at one of the many tables provided around the park. Plenty of parking and worth the visit. Nice and quiet with some interesting wildlife.

One of the best parks in Sarasota! Definitely check this place out if you are in vacation. Especially sunsets are amazing to watch from this park. Restrooms, water fountain, playground, waterpark is available at this park. We always stop by here over the weekends either to take a walk or watch the sunset. Also, there are boat tours from this location which you should not miss if you are in Sarasota for a short period of time. You will definitely come back once you visit the park once!

Having lived in Pinellas county for 53 years, I have visited Sarasota several times before. However, this is the first time that I've spent any time downtown, on the bay front. It's very nice. It reminded me a little bit of Monaco, for several reasons. One, you can just smell the money. Two, it's a beautiful natural setting. Three, the architecture is well planned Four, the whole town has a definite and historical arts vibe. Five, the weather on this day was simply perfect. Time well spent. Thank you, God.

We live in Miami and it's hard to match the beauty of our waterfront parks but this park is just as beautiful as what we have back in Miami. Clean, beautiful views and peaceful. Great place to relax and feel God in the presence of Nature! You will not be disappointed!

A great, well maintained city park. Parking is free though it is limited to three hours. Often called Island Park (and occasionally Marina Jack's though that is a restaurant nearby) by locals. The kid's fountain is a great place for the under-18 set to cool off with a playground next to it and picnic tables between them serving as a great place for your stuff. The walk around is marked in 1/8 mile increments so you can keep track easily. And there are a lot of Pokestops and several gyms for those who enjoy Pokemon Go. There are a lot of mature trees to enjoy the shade and several benches for those who don't want to sit that low down. Views of all the boats & yachts at the marina, the islands across the bay and the sunset, and just good old people-watching make it a great place for a relaxing or romantic time or possibly a picnic. Or maybe a low-key wedding locale?
