This is a beautiful, old theater from another era. The architecture inside is beautiful. I went to see Hamilton which was fantastic. The lights and sound were incredible. The theater doesn't have very steep stadium seating, so if someone really tall sits in front of you, it's difficult to see. But, as I said, theater is from another era, so the seats and rows are also rather tight. But nothing to complain about. See a fantastic show there and you will be very pleased.

I've seen three shows here, Book of Mormon, Wicked and Cats. All three times I've been impressed with the venue. The cleanliness of the theater, helpful and friendly staff, easy parking. Couldn't recommend this theater enough. Definitely beats going into NYC.

My family saw The Lion King production. Absolutely wonderful experience. From the set design, costumes, acting, singing, music, to the choreography and storyline, the show was a breathtaking and moving presentation. So we'll done!

I used to go to Proctors Theatre often, having had grown up in Clifton Park. It has been a long time since I have been to the theatre since I moved out of the area. I just saw Ray LaMontagne this past Saturday. The theatre was even more beautiful than I remember. It looks like everything has been meticulously maintained! The acoustics were amazing! I used to always sit front row, center in the balcony, this time we had orchestra seats. It was an amazing evening that brought back some of my very best childhood memories. I will be checking the schedule to see when I can return again!

Sincerely enjoyed seeing Hamilton here. I love the architecture. I do think there could be better signage about where to exit to make it to which street, but I also probably missed a sign or two. Overall, we loved it! This is the 2nd time we went. The first time we sat in the balcony and saw lion king (2016) and loved our view then too!

I recently saw the show Aladdin and was astonished by the cleanliness of the facility and professionalism of the staff from volunteer to paid. My only complaint which was taken seriously was in regards to the show needing a seizure/epilepsy and photo-sensitivity sign posted...speaking as an epileptic who had to cover her face for over half of the show. I was surprised at how affordable the beverages and food were ($2 for candy) on the upper balcony. If you go during cold and flu season, buyer beware. The lines are long and people were sick, coughing, and not masked. Often, we looked like cattle being usherd into packed halls and up the stairs. 6' distance? What's that? Be sure to take care of your own health before, during, and after if attending a show. It's crowded and it's germ season although no recommendations were made to stop the flow of grossness. Either way, go, support, and enjoy this local theatre!

We went to see pretty woman. Excellent show . Beautiful old theater . Just the right size where you can see the stage without any problem. excellent staff plenty of parking short break drinks and snacks. Then back to an excellent show. We've been to many shows at proctors. We've enjoyed them all. We made the trip over from Vermont. Some traffic when you try to leave the parking area but after that was fine.

My friends and I were planning on attending Mean Girls, and two out of the group had to cancel last minute for health reasons. A representative from Proctor's refunded the two tickets, and we are so grateful for their understanding. I have been to Proctor's many times, and the venue is beautiful. I look forward to attending more shows in the future. Keep up the great work!

I can’t say enough great things about the staff here! My mom had a broken foot and wasn’t very stable to be waiting in the line before being let in for the show. The staff told were so accommodating and pleasant. They moved my mom to the front of the line and gave her a chair to sit. They went above and beyond to make sure she was comfortable and was able to be seated quickly.

Lovely old theater. Gorgeous architecture. Wonderful, friendly staff. The seats are terribly uncomfortable though.

GE Theatre, nice place to catch a smaller band/show. First come, first serve seating but it's never been a problem.

No, this isn’t an obnoxious view at all while trying to enjoy a performance. I can’t believe Proctors let these 7” diameter spinning lights be sold beforehand, and that at least a hundred parents throughout the venue allowed their kids to play with them during the entire performance. We will not return for a children’s production again.

Decided to go to Fandom Fest for the first time. What a great little adventure it turned out to be. From the guest, to the geek garage, Hollywood snapshots, cosplay, artist alley, vendor hall to the exquisite theater that held the panels. I had a fantastic 2 days & will definitely be going back!

I just love this place. We were there this past weekend for the 2nd annual Fandom Fest, we went last year as well. I have also been there for numerous musicals and shows. The staff are always so friendly and helpful. The venue itself is gorgeous, it almost feels out of time. I truly love going there.

First and foremost - this building is NOT suitable for its large events! The narrow common areas make it impossible to get out quickly!!! That being said, the remainder of my experience was wonderful! Saw The Lion King with family. The production, displays, props and actors were beyond awesome! Staff here were helpful, polite, and professional. This old theatre is clean, well kept, and beautifully decorated. Parking for the event was close, convenient, and free. Leaving the event is similar to leaving a concert at SPAC, but patience gets you on the outskirts of Schenectady in about 10 minutes. Bravo!

A beautiful theatre that will take one back to the era of great entertainment venues. Proctors offers a variety of plays and shows. Recently attended a concert there and the acoustics were very good.

Just had a wonderful experience in-person at the box office. I have a disabled sister who needed some special considerations for an upcoming show. Emily, in the box office, took an incredible amount of time to help me find the right day and proper seating for her. She went above and beyond. Thank you, Emily!

What a fantastic show! I went to Proctors with my sister. We both loved the show, we laughed (and cried a little). We canvassed the people around us during intermission and and after the show and everyone loved it as much as we did. It is one of the best shows I’ve seen both here and in Broadway. Definitely worth your while!!!

Been here twice and it's been brilliant both times. I loved the shows I saw so freaking much! Thrilled about the convenience and ease of parking, as well as helpfulness of staff and different viewpoints from seating in the Mainstage theater. The bathrooms and some of the halls can feel kind of cramped and could use a bit of updating, but it's really not that big a deal. I saw Lion King as well as Fiddler on the Roof this year and they were so so excellent. Will definitely be back for future shows!

I have been to multiple events at proctors and have always had a great experience. Wether it’s seeing a play on the main stage. Or seeing comedians like Bob Marley in the GE Theater. I have never had a bad experience. The event staff are always very helpful and efficient. I also enjoyed the underground at proctors for their comedy monthly shows, I think that’s something that’s underrated and really should be popularized more!

Very beautiful theater. The row of seats are very close and for a person who is 5'2" with short legs, that's saying something. The drink prices are outrageous, nevertheless, I bought a gin and tonic for $20 plus tax. Still had a great time seeing Trevor Noah!

Beautiful venue! Nicely maintained and restored. Had a great time seeing a performance here. There is a parking garage but plenty of local parking as well. They serve drinks and some snacks. I suggest going early to get a chance to admire the venue.

Proctors is such a lovely theater. It is easy to park and close to restaurants. We went to Johnny's for dinner(make a reservation) then Aladdin. Shows are very bit as good as on Broadway, I have compared. Aladdin was awesome! I especially liked the dancing and the humor. It was a feel good and sing and dance along type show!

First of all, the show was great. I saw Aladdin. The theater was clean, and comfortable. However if you are leaning on the heavier side, the seats may not stay too true to that fact. I've been to big theaters, like Broadway—also where I saw Aladdin the first time and proctors was either better or equally as good—and yes, of course, they're nice theaters. However, they're big and some times, depending in your seat, you can sit very far from the stage. That's why I prefer smaller, more intimate theaters like Proctors because you sit close. Then on the other hand: Small theaters are typically less funded and more prone to being dirty. That is not true for Proctors; very clean.
