Higbie Bagels

Bagel shop

👍👍 Not only are the Bagels fantastic but the assortment of cream cheese choices are amazing. Love the West Islip colors on the special bagels. I really enjoyed the taste, texture and flavors of these bagels and had the opportunity to try the organic chicken soup that the chef made and it was incredible... Not only are the Bagels fantastic but the assortment of cream cheese choices are amazing. Love the West Islip colors on the special bagels. I really enjoyed the taste, texture and flavors of these bagels and had the opportunity to try the organic chicken soup that the chef made and it was incredible good and not too salty. My kids loved the bagels as well and especially the organic chicken soup. There is so much attention and work done to these bagels and cream cheese choices that I’m excited to come back for more. The prices are super reasonable and the quality of ingredients exceeds the value this spot charges. This Brooklyn born 45 year bagel eating native approves Higbie Bagels! My kids want to come back again just for the chicken soup. Bravo Higbie Bagels for sharing your quality bagels to Long Island.

This place has the most incompetent workers I have ever seen. It took me over an hour with 1 person in front of me to get a bagel with cream cheese and an iced coffee because the male worker had no idea what he was doing. Not once did he apologize for taking so long and literally 11 other families that came in after us left before us after having much more complex orders. Will never be returning

Reopened recently after a fire. 5 Stars! Nice selection! They do have minis here. Bagels are always fresh and soft. Not doughy like some of the other bagel shops. I almost dont want to give away this other little secret...the strawberry cream cheese...has REAL strawberries in it! Not the fake pink artificially colored cream cheese I see in every other bagel shop on the south end. They move pretty quick also considering there ia always a line.

BEST PLACE EVER. The people in here are the most friendliest anywhere. Besides the hospitality the bagels are amazing.

Overpriced and overrated!! Bagels were not that fresh and they don't display their prices so be prepared for anything. $11.00 for lox and cream cheese is what you would expect to pay at a dinner not a local shop with no seating. I was ripped off once but never again. Adios Higbie Bagels. Oh and the parking sucks.

Me and my family were on vacation and my Cuzin highly recommended my kids wanted to go there every day but managed at least a couple times the staff was extremely kind and helpful not to mention there bagels were phenomenal from the French toast bagel to the rainbow bagel, st patty’s day bagel, egg plain, and my favorite egg everything bagel 5 star. There cream cheeses were to die for bacon scallions, strawberry, original and others five star all around clean shop variety exceptional Thank you Higbie bagels wish you guys opened one in Tampa Florida we definitely don’t have bagel shop like that here

2nd time order was wrong in as many weeks, how you screw up turkey swiss and egg whites is... I don't even know. Wasn't busy either. 1 slice of turkey on a bagel sandwich (can't really taste one slice) american cheese. Tasted like a cheese sandwich, I've been burnt twice recently and will now cruise over to West Islip bagels from now on.

Some great bagels. Staff friendly, place clean. Bagels were a bit expensive, but seems like all the places went up. Overall I'll go there again.

Just moved to west Islip a few months ago. Now I was in search of a new local bagel shop in close proximity to my place. First off, this place has THE BEST Lox spread I have ever had. Lox spread had so much salmon snd the rstio was 50/50 with cream cheese. Absolutely delicious. 5 out of 5 stars, just wish they had Georgio’s roasters coffee instead of your run of the mill bagel shop coffee. Bagels are top notch!!!

Went in there at 11:30 to buy a bagel with cream cheese and one of the workers was bossing the others around like she was a manager she makes the place so unpleasant I feel bad for the rest of the workers good food but owner needs to rethink having her as a worker in that place as a regular customer that's goes there for years some thing not right with that

Weekday crew is generally on point and friendly, but I’m not sure what’s happening on weekends. Even when there’s not a line, it seems to take much longer, and the staff generally seems frazzled by serving any more than 1 customer or doesn’t pay attention at all. Furthermore, they put gloves on and then proceed to touch registers, coffee machines, their own phones, their own faces, and everything else while still touching your bagel with the now dirty gloves - this isn’t just one staff member but seemed pervasive. Gloves are for handling food items. When you’re done, take them off to touch the register and your phones and faces. Then put new ones on to touch food again. I liked it here over the summer and early fall, and didn’t mind paying a little more since I liked the service then. But now… I’ll find a new weekend spot to avoid the mayhem.
