Came here to try out the World Famous Corn. I was skeptical because it’s a bold statement but I must say that when I ate the corn which came out charred on the edges and some cheese on top with red chili, I finished it on 3 mins! It was delicious!!!

The staff was friendly, and the restaurant was clean. Overall, the food was okay. We had a steak sandwich and a Cuban sandwich with fries. Nothing special about the fries but not bad either. The steak sandwich was okay but nothing to go back for. However, the big letdown was the Cuban sandwich. The bread was not good and the pork was a tad dry. Furthermore, the sandwich instead of having mustard, it had some sort of chipotle mayo which I did not enjoy in my Cuban sandwich. Sophie’s Cuban Cuisine Cuban sandwich is less than half the price of this place and more importantly significantly better.

Friendly, relaxed atmosphere and warm, attentive service. Unfortunately, quite frankly, very average Cuban food. Cubano sandwich was crispy on the outside, moist and juicy on the inside but that’s where the goodness ends. Pork was very bland, lacking seasoning and pickles were just not very good. Fries were super average. - Service and ambiance- 5 stars - food - 2 stars Overall- 3 solid stars However, living in New York, with countless Cuban options, I don’t think I will be coming back in the near future.

We came for the famous corn and a drink. The corn was very good but a bit cold. the mojito was good but very expensive ($16) for a Cuban restaurant.

Came for the happy hour, stayed for everything else! The drinks were fantastic and the food was spot on, both the corn and the cuban sandwich were delicious and the vibes were on point! Super friendly staff accommodating us even without a booking, would definitely come back!

Their corn is one of the best I have ever tried and add it their pitch of spicy Margarita and you will have an amazing night :)

I will come again for the corn, and that’s all. A place for a fast meal with normal prices. My friend and I had the signature sandwich, the corn and lemonade. 🌽Personally, I like the corn a lot. They did the great job flavoring the corn. The sandwich was a little bit disappointing. The whole taste was nothing special and missing something. Although the fries came with it was not bad, healthy style. My friend told me she could know the lemonade was homemade. Not that sweet which was good.

Always love coming here whenever I visit NYC. We love the food cos everything’s great! We love the vibes here too! Will keep coming back! Everyone must try the pollo mirador! It’s worth the wait!

We were looking for a brunch spot on Sunday morning and were really happy to have gotten a table at Habana! There was a short waitlist after us but they move tables pretty efficiently. At 1pm they had both their regular and brunch menu. I had the breakfast plate and their featured corn. Both really delicious and filling. Felt like a meal made by mom. Not a long wait for food. Their Cafe con leche was also delicious. Prices are very reasonable for new york and the quality of food. Would definitely go back again, really want to try their Cubanas.

The food was alright, legit. The sweet plantains were the only things I liked about this place. The ambiance was ehh was not feeling it much. Wouldn’t go again. (Grilled shrimp tacos & Chicken burrito shown in picture).

This place was my favorite place in NYC since2014. They still have the best corn I ever had. But today I got tacos there. It wasn’t good enough. I was embarrassed. I never expect that cold tacos. Tortilla was ice cold even not defrost. I just left tortilla and I told them. My sever told me it was on the grill It should be hot. And I told them even now tortilla was cool. The manager and sever tried to make me new one. But I was full and I’ve lost my sense of taste. I just let them know they should Not serve like this. I am sure someone should knew it wasn’t close room temp when who touched to assembled.

Bad service. Unwelcoming, unpleasant staff. We wanted to leave 5 mins in and stayed only bc we were too hungry. Ordered the steak sandwich and chicken burrito - which we loved, though the amount of fries was embarrassing and there was more bread than steak. The corn was incredible, but next time only by takeaway! The two stars are only for the corn.

Been coming for years. The menu has changed since the last time I’ve been. Simple & short. I ordered the shrimp & pork tacos without the rice & beans. As well as the tostones. The pork was juicy & delicious as usual. The sauce for the tostones was different. More like an aioli vs the green sauce it usually came with. Seating & tables are on the smaller tight end. If you’re someone who likes ordering lots of items or is with a big group.

amazing spot for frozen cocktails! their frozen margs are to-die-for and for $10 it’s really a steal. we also shared a blackened chicken sandwich with plantains and elote, everything was delicious. will definitely be back for those margs.

Love, love, love the food! Pernil was super juicy and flavorful. Made me reminisce about my mom’s home cooking. Service was amazing and super relaxed atmosphere. 100% recommend!

Been here a couple times now and the food is great... Kind of understatement actually. The Cuban sandwich here is exactly what I remember from Florida. Friendliest staff in the city. Just go, get anything and you can thank me later.

Nice vibes, service was fine but not great (kinda cold, no smiles or anything that will make you feel you welcome). Food was good but not great IMHO. We ate the Cubano, Corn and an Americano coffee. Coffee was great, corn was very good, I had better Cubanos, tasted kinda like a good tuna sandwich and not a Cubano.

Uncomfortably cramped -- three of us at a very tiny table meant for two people. Asked to move to a different table that was free next to us and they said no, even with two of us sitting sitting almost sideways to squeeze our legs under the small table. We had to put our water glasses on the window sill. Food was good but definitely not the best Cuban sandwich in NYC. Great tostones though! Prices and wait times are average SoHo, draw your own conclusion on that. Sincerely, A Cuban

Must visit for any human that enjoys food. :) Below is what I ordered. Grilled Corn, and Tostones & Guacamole (Plantains). Fresh and delicious. According to my friend the grilled corn tasted as he remembered 20 years ago. They stay true to their quality and consistency.

Best corn I had, hands down. It was soft, spicy, tangy. Right amount of spiciness, I love that they have lime to go with it. Drinks are well worth it during happy hour.

This was absolutely great. I was here for the first time 2 years ago and know I must come back on my next visit in NY. The food brought back memories from our honeymoon in Cuba. The food was served quickly and was delicious.

Definitely get the corn on the cob as well as the Cuban sandwich - they’re both tasty and at pretty good value! Seating areas are a bit small so be warned but overall a good place for food!

  • 4/5 David P. 6 months ago on Google
Good restaurant. The corn appetizer that they are known for is very good, but not incredible. Everyone's entrees we're very good, but were all served cold, as if they had been sitting for some time. We could say "well, they were busy that day," but Cafe Habana is busy every day, all the time, so there should be a way to serve the food hot. The waitstaff was very friendly and great. Would be 5 stars if any of the food (appetizers and entrees included) had been served hot.

Get the Cuban sandwich. You will not be disappointed. It was so incredibly flavorful, and the fries were the best we had the entire trip. So good, we went back twice. I had the blackened chicken plate on one occasion, and that was fantastic. The sweet plantains were also delicious, arguably the best plantains I've had. This place gets bonus points for the atmosphere, probably the cheapest beer in the city ($3.75), and the sweetest family dynamics amongst the staff. The price of the entire meal was a great deal for Manhattan and one of the cheapest meals we had on the trip, while also being one of the tastiest. I thoroughly enjoyed dining here, and I think you will, too.

Small restaurant in the corner of Prince Street. The food tastes good but the prices are too high for what you get. The Cuban Sandwich is $14 and it doesnt come with anything. You can also tell that the servers dont like to be there and they have a bad attitude.

Amazing grilled chicken and corn salad! I had to take off one star since they no longer serve their jicama salad which is the main reason why I stopped to have lunch. What I ended up eating was delicious nonetheless though :)

The corn was as good as everyone says! The Cuban sandwich, on the other hand, was just okay. I wish there was a bit more pork as sections of the sandwich felt sparse.

Honestly is the best Cuban in the city! Very well packed with meat and so juicy/tender you could cry, well worth the price. The service is average at best and they are understandable very full/busy most of the time. I'd skip on water here (dirty/stinky glasses) and maybe take your food to go.
