😠 If I could give zero stars I would. We lived at the Edison for five months spring and summer of 2023. As the weather got warmer, the more unsafe we felt. During our time, three cars were broken into and two cars were stolen from the parking lot. There was a homeless man asleep in the lobby one more... If I could give zero stars I would. We lived at the Edison for five months spring and summer of 2023. As the weather got warmer, the more unsafe we felt. During our time, three cars were broken into and two cars were stolen from the parking lot. There was a homeless man asleep in the lobby one more and the common areas (hallways, etc) are only cleaned once a month. The pool is out of control - broken glass bottles and unmonitored parties all weekend long. I would highly recommend looking elsewhere. The new management has lost control of this facility.

Parking in the rear isn't lit and has no security or cameras. Cars repeatedly get broken into and management hasn't installed security in years since this started going on when they opened. This is clear negligence and an apartment in this corner should be avoided at all costs. They also have failed to remove snow in the lot on a regular occurrence. What's next ?

I’ve lived here for a year and a half. I switched units for a bigger one so I have been at this property for a while. This property has been under new management for a couple months now. The new management company is definitely trying to solve a lot of issues (some outside of their control). For example, yes cars get broken into and packages get stolen, but you live near downtown Cleveland, there will be crime in the area. (We were told that Security and maintenance did catch someone who was breaking into cars so that’s promising) I will say that I have definitely recognized the renovations that they’ve been doing and additional steps they’ve taken. For example, and they renovated the gym, they are renovating the dog wash. They have a cleaning company on nights to clean the common areas as well. They are installing new WiFi and they are installing new security cameras. The maintenance staff is responsive and helpful. The staff is very nice and trying their best. As someone who has worked with property management overhead, it’s sometimes difficult to get specific requests done. So take some of these reviews with a grain of salt. The biggest plus of living here is that it is extremely dog friendly. So if you don’t like dogs, I suggest you find an apartment that doesn’t allow them, because there are plenty around. If you love dogs or have one, this is the place for you.

I have been living here for a little over a year now. My issue currently is the new staff is very hard to contact. We have a portal where we can send a message for them to call you back and I never heard back on kind of a big issue. The doors into the building I live in have been broken for at least 4-5 months now, meaning anyone can walk into the building without a key. This is an issue as you can read other reviews about the how unsafe the area already is with cars being broken into. Now our apartments are more vulnerable. Also the “handicap” door into my building is broken. Please read before moving in: do yourself a major favor and do not live on the 2nd floor. The ceilings are not as high as the 1st and 4th floors to my understanding, the sounds of the people walking above you are very loud. I can even hear it over my TV volume being 50 sometimes, so seriously don’t do it. I would also stick around for the train when you do come tour, it doesn’t bother me now but I didn’t realize how loud it is before I moved in.

I normally don't write reviews, but after reading some of these petty reviews I just had to say my peace. I recently moved in this last July and I moved from out of state. I wanted to just give some kudos the the Management Staff during this process. They were accommodating and returned my calls and emails in a timely manner. A lot of the problems that are listed below my review are out of the control of the management/property team. I understand that peoples cars have been broken into in the past but you are living outside of Cleveland and the City of Cleveland has made it publically known that there is an issues with auto theft that they are working on rectifying. The Edison has sent over multiple emails to the entire property explaining that they will be installing security cameras for the property. There is also nighttime security every day of the week. The lengths that some of these "residents" have gone to make this property look bad is absurd and frankly people have too much time on their hands. Overall I love the place I live in and love the staff. Always friendly and always smiling.

Would love to have given new management a chance but unfortunately there isn’t any effort on improving. My friend was subject of a car jacking here last week and they have not responded to her not myself when asked what is going to be done. For as much money as I pay I would expect some sort of security patrolling but there is nothing. People that do not live in the building are constantly walking in and out and I have witnessed numerous drug deals inside. Unfortunately the price is not worth and the cons outweigh the pros. If more was being done to combat the cons I would probably renew but that has not happened.

We were charged $100 cleaning fee upon move out. My roommate and I cleaned thoroughly and left no damage. They did not respond to our emails when we asked about the charge. Additionally, we had birds in our vents and management did very little to help. Finally, my car was stolen and they seemed to have no urgency to increase security. The one positive is the maintenance team. They are the best thing at the Edison. Quick and responsive

Personally, I have not had issues with the new staff. They have always been pleasant, responsive, and helpful to me. Location is nice near Edgewater. They said they are installing more cameras for parking lot, which will help with security.

Last week I was involved in an attempted car jacking while walking to my car. 2-3 men in a vehicle came up to me and told me to give them my car. I got in my car but they had me pinned in between the curb and their car. They kept banging on my window yelling at me to give them my car. Luckily someone from another building was driving by and it spooked them off. It was terrifying. The lights in the parking lot remain out. They say someone will be out to fix them but that has yet to happen. Parking is a disaster. There’s constantly people without parking stickers in our lot which takes up space for people who pay a lot of money to live there. The doors haven't been fixed in over 4 months. I shouldn’t blast this as who knows who will be reading. Anyone can walk in at any time. There’s no security in our building. They say they have people patrolling but I rarely see that. The new management is terrible. They do not respond to any emails. You ask to see a storage unit and they say they will call to show you them. No one ever calls. After the attempted carjacking I emailed them 3 times with no response. The pool is nice. On the weekends it is a scene outside of put-in -bay. The pool is a free for all. Anyone can come and go as they please. No one is there watching. Location is close to the park with a lot of cool restaurants. Before signing a lease here I would really think about and look into other options. Pay the extra money for your safety. I will be taking my concerns elsewhere as management doesn’t “see” the emails or are just “too busy.”

The Edison is a awesome place to live. The property is well kept, apartments and lofts are updated and reasonably priced. Love the monthly events they have for residents. Most importantly the staff is a Amazing group!! U can really tell they care about this place!
