THERE ARE ROACHES, RATS, AND MICE (see photos) If you are thinking of moving here, PLEASE read my full review. The entire property is infested with various pests. It is a persistent problem even in spotless units. The office stopped accepting packages, so they get piled up in the lobby. The fire alarm goes off like... a lot. If someone is pulling it, they haven't caught them at least since I've lived here. Elevators regularly get stuck. Laundry in basement, but half the machines don't work. Heat console caught on fire. Issues with inconsistent hot water. No one is ever at the parking deck's gates - which are usually open. It is often littered with trash, glass, and other hazards. You can usually expect to get jump-scared by rats in the parking deck and basement. **The building switched ownership again. Many of the best staff that were communicating with residents and trying to resolve the problems here are gone, including Myra. After emailing the new management three times and stopping by the office, I finally got to speak with Hammad Ahmar, who insinuated my review here is not truthful and violates the lease. His proposed solution to the issues mentioned is to put me on the list for pest control, and thinks it's better for the building that I move out. Do with that information what you will. Management is mad I posted a negative review. But this is what myself and many other residents deal with here. This review exists to show the realities of this building, so you can consider for yourself if staying here is right for you. I'll keep editing this review with any relevant photos and updates as time goes on.

We did a weekend rental and it was awful. Tie building was dirty and smelled so bad. We would not go back. Also we got stuck on the elevator and had to pry the doors open to get out. Our room looked nice on the surface but the air conditioning didn't work it was so loud and everything was so dirty.

I did my tour and I’m still in shock how my experience was. I had a nice leasing agent but I’m not satisfied with the lack of interest she had when we both saw a roach in one of the units! I pointed it out and she tried to step on it and it got away. Afterwards, she proceeded with the tour. I was in complete shock that she didn’t go across the hall where the maintenance men were to tell them. When I shared with her that I didn’t feel comfortable seeing that and not even being a tenant she reassured me that roaches are only in dirty apartments. Little did she know on my way to visit another unit there was a dead one in the hallway. I decided to think about it before applying. I called in to express my concerns about it and it didn’t seem like it was a priority to look into the infestation. I checked the reviews and almost every review mentions roaches! This is not a unit issue. This is a building issue and if this is what expectations are they need to drop the rent to $500 a month and take luxury off the listing. This is not a luxury building. Carpets are old. Walls are old. And clearly maintenance isn’t doing a great job. Sad because they have potential but I’m sure the owners rather use their money to afford their lifestyle than to have a livable space for their tenants.

I was going to write a long review, but pros and cons will suffice. Cons are based off of things I’ve personally experienced during my 13 month lease at The Luckman. Pros: Downtown Cleveland Cons: Roaches (yes i had Terminex spray my apartment almost every time they were there), fire alarm going off throughout the night, opens swimming pool late summer for 1-2 months, constant water leaks damaging apartments, pee in the shared laundry room driers, not secure people can come in and out (front door and garage), elevators constantly broken (usually only 1 running at a time), rarely has security on duty at the front desk, packages are constantly stolen/lost/write the wrong apartment number on them, leasing office have disgusting attitudes (except Myra), dishwasher stayed broken no matter how many request I put In for it to be fixed, lost hot water in apartment often, and lastly, I was told I would receive my deposit in 30-45 business days, instead I received it in 80+ business days. Marcy at corporate (midwestra) gave me the run around when in reality they were just very unorganized. Good luck.

I have lived in three different downtown apartments; I can confidently say that Luckman Apartments is hands down the best for me. It's got an awesome layout, and the finishing is great, and the best part? It is reasonably priced, It's an all-around winner in terms of value and amenities. At first, I was a bit hesitant because of some not-so-great reviews, but let me tell you, the management team here is on top of things. They're super responsive and they genuinely care about making this place better. Since I've moved in, I've seen steady improvements. The current management staff is just fantastic. They're friendly and always ready to help with anything you need. They've added to the overall great vibe of Luckman Apartments. I did a lot of research and checked out other apartments, and none of them came close to what Luckman offers. Plus, it's not just me who's loving it here – a friend visited, fell in love, and moved in just a month later. If you're a grad student trying to make every dollar count and you want a place that's not just affordable but also aesthetically pleasing, put Luckman at the top of your list. And it's not just about looks and price; this place is super convenient. You're close to major shops and the bus station is right outside, so you're right in the thick of things. But that's not all. Luckman Apartments has other great perks too. The security here has been great so far, which is a big relief. They also have a fitness center, so you can stay fit without going too far. And if you're into outdoor activities, there are some beautiful parks nearby. So, to sum it up, Luckman Apartments is the real deal. You get an amazing layout and finish, affordability, a responsive and friendly management team, good security, a fitness center, and proximity to shops and parks. If you're looking for the complete package in a downtown apartment, this is it.

I've been a resident at the Luckman Apartments for the past 14 months, and I've witnessed some remarkable improvements during my stay. The management has shown a commitment to enhancing the overall living experience. Maintenance requests are addressed promptly, the common areas are well-maintained, and the entire property seems to be on an upward trajectory. The recent improvements have truly transformed this place into a more comfortable and pleasant living space. The staff is friendly and willing to assist. I've found a sense of community here, especially with the community events. I highly recommend.

Been staying at luckman for past 5 years. It’s an incredible apartment, the staff is nice and polite. They do hear you well and find solutions if there are any problem. The leasing manager is super helpful, she is the best.

I've never lived here, but it would be impossible when they don't contact you back. I made an appointment for a Saturday, received a text confirmation forma. Real person, was told to park in the parking garage on chester. I arrive, and the garage is t makrws we'll and doors not open. I pull up thinking door wild open then, but no. There's no way to access garage. I circled the building for 30+ minutes called the main number on the website, which does not work, called the number that I was given to call leasing office multiple times with no answer. I tried texting the number and no one ever contacted me back, even though they were expecting me. That is a clear indication that they are disorganized and lack of communication. I can only imagine if I had an issue with y apartment. How frustrating but I guess I amucky to see this now. It shouldn't be this difficult to try and view an apartment. They clearly don't want new, responsible residents.

Honest opinion after living here for 13 months. Pros: Good Gym Great views Great location Nice management Parking garage connected Affordable Cons: ROACHES!!! My apartment is spotless. No food left out and i still get huge roaches every night! Rats in the garage Hot water broken an average of twice a month Laundry room smells awful Pool was closed for 2 months out of the summer. Heater and Air run on a boiler meaning A/C only works in June and Heat only turns on end of October. My suggestion: If you have the money move somewhere else! Yes apartments here are cheap! You get what you pay for. Sign a short lease and I guarantee you will wish you would have spent a couple extra hundred dollars on a nicer place.

Every single star review is true. Do not move here. If you currently live here, they will drag their feet to deliver your security deposit back. Take pictures before you move out, recap phone calls in an email and follow up until you get your deposit back. Beware of the no AC, broken gym equipment, the unprofessionalism of maintenance and leasing office, smelly trash smelling garage, broken elevators, broken glass in garage, and million other issues. Do not move here. I hope the current tenants can get the news coverage that is required for The Luckman.

Now I’m not going to be that person who post a bad review lol obviously the building needs a little more work however, the staff is very transparent so I can’t do anything but respect them for standing by their product and doing an amazing job selling and presenting the building. I also would like to point out that the staff at this place is one of a kind! The vibe totally made me feel like they were more than just co-workers …. These guys are a family! Although I didn’t choose Luckman as my new home… I’ll definitely recommend these guys to everyone!
