Due to my daughters chronic illness, we have had to go to Metro ER four times since summer. Despite all the reported crazy wait times and the issues with Covid, we have been so happy with her care there. She had very short waits. One time on a Saturday night even walking straight back to a room. We were there again today for about five hours. The doctors were incredibly thorough, doing needed tests until they diagnosed the root of her pain today. We didn’t feel like a number. The nurses were incredibly kind. These professionals are here to help. They swore an oath to do so. Please be kind and patient with them. People can be horrid to them and they’re only here to try to give us comfort. Good job Metro!

Can someone please tell me when Metro hospital became the new county jail?? I came in after "visiting hours" to drop off some clothes and hygiene items to my girlfriend that's been in there for days and they turned me down!! Like excuse me where has the care for the patient gone to?! We're not looked at as human beings we're looked at as dollar signs so I asked the officer what if this was your wife that was in the hospital or your daughter or your son? Of course he had nothing to say because if it was they get the top care. Smh I have lost complete faith in the American healthcare I'd rather stick it out at home with home remedies then to let these people put any hands on me...

I'm so over the way these people treat people. I will never set foot in this Er again. I was accused of threatening a nurse when it was another patient. She never apologized to me. I was sitting in that Er from 5:15am till 7:30am I walked out. Never was seen. I'm going to another Er . Metro Hospital gets a big 0 from me. You all rude as hell to patients.

Merto has people in pain waiting for months to be seen their favorite line when you call is unfortunately there’s nothing we can! But this is a#1 trauma center. You wait in waiting room for hours while watching nurses are conversational about their personal life metro is horrible your better off going anywhere but there!

After being stuck in a room with chest pains and abnormal heart rhythms, i was ignored for over 6 hours until I pulled everything out of me, walked out and went to Southwest General ER where I was promptly taken care of. Only go to Metro if you want to die.

Soooo slow. Been here for over 3 hours waiting for my name to be called, I've seen people come and go. I've even seen ppl that came after me get called back before me!πŸ™„πŸ˜’I understand priority of pain levels and certain people need more urgent care than others. But there was no one that came in shot up or stabbed up. Mostly just basic chronic pain. like me. Mind you my pain level is at a 10. And i have a migraine that is sensitive to all sounds, lights, movement literally sat there in agonizing pain for hours.

Apparently SOB and chest pain is not an β€œemergency” 😑 My father has been waiting for almost 3 hours in the lobby!! This place is the perfect definition of modern healthcare, it’s an absolute joke.

My mother went here for extreme stomach pain and vomiting and they did absolutely nothing for her!!! These hospitals don't care about the patients, ONLY about the money and how much they can scam the insurance out of!!

It's become clear by my observation that when it comes to filing a complaint against a physician who has a history of complaints filed against them, Metro does absolutely nothing. Staff have stated that they have to be careful not to speak up because "I could lose my job." "I don't want to lose my job " "I don't want to jeopardize my job, so you just have to deal with it." That's nothing but intimidation, bullying and abusive. IE a toxic environment. 1. You don't stop it, you allow it. 2. You pay them to do it. 3. You post signs that state; We do not tolerate verbal abuse, intimidation. To bad that does not apply to some physicians toward patients and staff. 4. There is no accountability, responsibility, and sure as heck NO decipline. The patients and staff don't matter. Only incoming revenue. Spare me the canned reply and take responsability for demeaning, condescending, verbally abusive Physicians who have a history of REPEATED complaints. Actions speak louder than words. Talking to them is useless and caries no weight. Discipline does wonders. Time off without pay will get ones attention. Take complaints serious for once. DO BETTER.

refused to treat a 9/10 pain with anything more than an ibuprofen. gave my fiancee with EDS an extremely strong muscle relaxer, almost poisoned her and also made her condition significantly worse. did nothing for treatment for me (except said ibuprofen, which may as well have been a sugar pill)

The hospital departments in general are never on time for appointments. They over book everything. If you have an appointment be ready to wait 30 minutes to and hour to be seen. I dread going to any appointment I know it will be a long wait. I can't wait until my pregnancy is over and I can find another hospital.πŸ˜‘ tired of the inconvenience and rude staff on top of that, who dispell personal information loudly during check-in.

Worst hospital ever. Dirtiest place I have ever been into. The police that were on staff, which was many, were more friendly than hospital staff. Do not go!

Very disappointed in how I was treated by Dr khawaja. I came in for chest pain & the most he did was a physical exam & prescribed my some nsaids (oh & put on a lidocaine patch) he did no further testing because, his exact words β€œwe don’t do expensive test just for peace of mind”. I asked for lab tests or radiology to look & rule out anything. Nope, the dr said absolutely not. I’m saddened by that type of care from a physician. I expected more, but as a patient I had no rights . No say in my care. I had to do what he said & get out of his er. Not to mention how snarky Matt the RN was who came in with pills that never were explained to me by the dr. Very unfortunate experience. I hope the community has other options because this er is extremely difficult & poorly ran.

4 hours wait, for a 10 minute catheter change, while in deliriously excruciating pain. Literally nobody's hurrying, not so much as fast-walking

Waited 17 hours for a 30 minute procedure. The staff was phenomenal, but they are understaffed and poorly managed. Please, leave this hospital for trauma patients. If you are driving yourself to the hospital do not go here, you will not be the priority.

As a person who is dying and who has a very very compromised immune system, I was treated so awful that I'm really considering transferring my treatment elsewhere. The emergency room doctor was so disrespectful and rude that after his treatment if me I cried for over 4 hours. I have a very severe infection in my abdomen that is getting worse and he really did absolutely nothing. Told me to come back if it gets worse, but that's what I did today I can't back because it's worse. I mean what does it take to realize that what started very small had but grown and it's ten times worse. I'm surprised he's even a doctor. As a retired nurse practitioner this is unethical and I will be contacting an attorney. In my opinion he definitely neglected to treat me and as a result I will have to sell treatment elsewhere. I'm getting to stay alive.

Everything was great until it came time to come to the NICU, the nurses need to work on their bedside manner along with sharing information with new parents. There's no reason that you know your keeping a child for an extended period of time and won't tell the parents. Unacceptable.

labor and delivery was horrible, treated me as a prisoner, then when it was time to discharge me, the nurse just dumped me at the door and left me said her shift was over and had to leave. didn’t even make sure my car seat was buckled correctly and refused to help me. the only reason i came here was for a wonderful dr that this hospital let go of, shame on metro health.

The service was so horrible that I walked out the hospital after already waiting 5+ hours seeing 3 different nurses all asking the same questions. Bathrooms was disgusting, and it seems like the only people that gave a care about their job was the receptionist
