The second time I dined in this new Yemeni restaurant. Food and the overall environment did not fulfill my expectations. Food was ready within five minutes. No complaints about the quantity however, food failed to provide the flavor of Yemen! We ordered Lamb and chicken Haneeth... unfortunately both tasted almost the same ....just flat! And yes items are overrated and over priced!!

Food was ok but rice was spoiled (probably old). Paid almost $50 for these two plates but wasn’t able to enjoy because of the rice.

Food - 3/5 Service - 5/5 Ambiance - 3/5 Price - Mid Ranged Ordered Lamb Haneeth for dinner. The quantity was good enough for the price. The lamb was cooked very well, and it was tender and juicy. The only problem was that the overall dish didn't have a good taste. Only the meat was good, but the dish itself wasn't tasty. Maybe it would taste better with some garlic sauce poured on it. But overall, I didn't like the taste of the dish. You can give it a try.

I ate at this restaurant twice over the past few weeks and here is my honest opinion. The restaurant is very clean and comfortable to dine in. Food is tasty and delicious. Food preparation and serving was surprisingly fast. However, they have two shift cooks, but one is a better cook than the other. They serve hot and fresh authentic flat bread. Fish and Zurbian were the best. The Sabaya desert served with honey is awesome. Service is great and fast. I recommend dining at this place over others particularly due to the tasty food and great service compared to other overrated and overpriced restaurants in the area.

Affordable prices, delicious food. Very tasty hummus. But the restaurant need some sanitizing work and some cleaning. The bathroom needs some cleaning often. I would like the owner to take care these issues.

As an outsider who’s never tried really any middle eastern food before, I was pretty nervous before ordering. Not only was the food amazing but so was the service. Will come here again.

The food feels good in your soul. The lamb is not dry or overcooked. The wait staff are all very friendly and their smiles make your day. They constantly check if you need anything and make you feel comfortable. The food is fresh and warm. The adani tea is nice and the bread with black seed is awesome. Love the place. They even gave me a nice eid cookie assortment as a gift for the Islamic holiday. Highly recommend. Salute the staff for working hard during Ramadan even though they were fasting and tired. Great attitude! Keep it up and wish you all success.

Really delicious! I ordered the soup and the hummus. The soup was rich and savory, and the lemon that came on the side added needed brightness. The hummus was creamy and full of tahini flavor, with olive oil, parsley, and sumac on top. The flat bread that came with the hummus was delightfully crispy and absolutely huge! (I had to get a box for it) I would absolutely recommend coming here if you get the chance.

I usually dislike hummus (I'm weird I know), but their hummus was phenomenal! Although the charcoal chicken was a little dry overall the food was pretty good and I would eat here again, mostly because of the hummus. Did I mention the hummus, get the hummus you won't regret it.

Food is really tasty. Hummus is the best I've ever had. Haneeth was delicious. The staff is also really nice. Recommend for sure and I will definitely go back to try something else!

Let's start with the most important thing, which is the food . It was amazing ! The portion size was decent. Even though they say it's good for two people, if you are hungry, you can devour the whole plate yourself . We ordered the chicken mandi and a lamb mandi. They were both really flavorful. The meat would just melt off the bones! Service was good except that they ran out of chicken mandi and we had just ordered one plate. The next one, as per our server, would take another 20 -30 mins . That can kill your appetite when waiting for that long . The ambiance was the main bummer here. πŸ˜• .the booth seats were very uncomfortable. I would say takeout at this place was more busy than dine in. I would rather do a takeout from this place than dine in.

100% favorite Cleveland restaurant discovery of the past couple years. Could eat fahsah and rashoosh every day. I've also tried both chicken and lamb haneeth, Fatah, foul, and fassolia, loved them all. It's fine getting to-go/delivery, but hard to beat it being served in the clay bowl in-person. Get an extra hummus and rashoosh for the road.

Loved it! Everything was super good and the person that helped us was extremely nice and amazingly helpful! The meals were very large enough for 2 people. The service was quick especially for the amount of take out orders they had while we were there.

Yemen Gate is like grandma is in the kitchen whipping up a nice classic meal. I love to eat here every time I come visit for a business trip. I make sure to eat in and get served up amazing home style food, hot & fresh ready to eat. It’s amazing how a nice meal can make you feel comfortable when you are so far away from home.

Excellent food. It seems pricey at first until you realized how much food you get per entree. I could easily get 2 to 3 meals out of a single order. Very tasty and friendly service.

I loved this restaurant so much! The service was absolutely amazing! Rabiha was our server and she was very on top of things! She made sure we had everything we wanted and she was so sweet. The food was very flavorful and filling. I highly recommend the hummus and the Chicken Haneeth! 10/10 recommend!
