2024:
We
visited
the
Westlake
area
of
Ohio
for
meetings
and
chose
La
Quinta
based
on
previous
stays
years
prior.
It
was
a
disappointing
visit,
one
that
led
to
a
change
of
hotels.
I’m
not
sure
when
hotels
decided
it
is
okay
to
have
staff
dress
in
streetwear,
but
the
associate
who
checked
us
in
wore
a
hoodie
and
was
just
kind
of
“there”.
I’m
sure
he’s
a
nice
guy
and
his
mother
loves
him,
but
he
didn’t
leave
a
favorable
impression.
We
had
to
quickly
drop
our
bags
and
get
to
our
meeting
which
lasted
until
after
midnight
so
we
didn’t
get
a
chance
to
inspect
the
room
until
our
return.
What
we
found
was
a
dirty
room
and
a
bed
that,
I
swear,
must
have
been
from
the
1980s.
I
tried
using
the
phone
to
contact
the
front
desk
but
the
connection
was
bad
so
I
went
to
the
desk
and
told
the
night
associate
on
duty
about
the
problem
(he
also
wore
streetwear).
He
came
to
the
room,
inspected
the
dirty
toilet
and
said:
Housekeeping
is
gone
for
the
day,
what
do
you
want
ME
to
do
about
it?
Sending
him
off
to
bring
supplies
so
I
could
clean
the
toilet,
he
returned
with
a
bowl
brush.
No
cleaning
supplies,
just
a
brush.
Now,
about
that
bed.
It
is
deplorable
to
keep
mattresses
for
as
long
as
this
one
appears
to
have
been
in
service.
If
it
is
newer,
it
was
obviously
purchased
at
one
of
those
discount
places
you
see
in
cities
that
advertise
queen
beds
for
$50.
I’m
a
petite
woman
weighing
115
pounds
and
even
I
sank
down
to
the
box
spring.
My
poor
husband
was
basically
on
the
floor.
Not
only
that,
the
bedding
or
the
bed
itself
smelled
of
cigarette
smoke
(perhaps
the
employee
smoking
area
is
off
the
laundry
room?).
It
was
the
worst
hotel
experience
to
date.
And
there
really
is
no
excuse
for
it.
Thankfully
the
hotel
was
quick
to
reimburse
us
for
our
2nd
night
and
we
were
able
to
change
hotels.
And
management
also
made
a
good
faith
attempt
to
make
things
right.
We
give
them
marks
for
that.
I
honestly
don’t
enjoy
writing
bad
reviews,
but
my
hope
is
that
corporate
officers
take
this
and
the
other
unfavorable
reviews
to
heart
and
look
in
to
the
problems
at
this
location.
I
will
note
that
we
mistakenly
visited
the
other
La
Quinta
close
by
and
by
the
looks
of
things
in
the
lobby
alone,
I
fear
this
may
be
a
hotel-wide
problem.
Until
things
are
brought
up
to
a
better
standard,
I
urge
you
to
look
elsewhere.
Just
down
the
road
from
this
location
are
several
other
hotels
worthy
of
your
hard-earned
money.
