DO NOT STAY HERE if you use third party booking. Actually do not book here at all. We arrived at 1:00am and front desk clerk Alexander with practiced condescending flair said he didn’t have our reservation. We happily stayed down the street at a gracious and comfortable Courtyard Marriott.

Stayed here one night when our flight got in late. Pros: clean room, kitchen in the room, price, location, Cleveland art downstairs, water temp was good. Cons: paper thin walls. Someone's alarm went off at 4 am, 4:30 am, and 5 am and it sounded like it was IN our room. Same for any conversations nearby. Three pillows for 2 people. Uncomfortable bed. Weird smell in hallways. I'm pretty flexible about hotels as long as I can sleep. This one did not pass the test. Won't be staying at this chain in the future.

I became a Covid ICU Travel Nurse at the beginning of the pandemic. I gave up my home. I left my children & granddaughters. I have worked in multiple states, And, I have lived in hotels for the past 2 1/2 years. I have been here for 11 months. I will be here another 7 months. Finally, I have a place to stay where I don’t feel desperately homesick. This hotel… and this amazing staff have repeatedly gone above and beyond to make me feel as “at home” as possible. Sure, things aren’t always perfect (I do NOT miss being responsible for my own home maintenance). While routine maintenance is clearly a top priority, things break, things need repaired. Here, things get done quickly. They get done correctly. The property is extremely clean and well maintained. The free laundry & workout equipment are clean & well maintained. The convenience store is clean & well stocked (although the company recently switched to Pepsi products). The staff is AMAZING! My dogs love it here. The people who stay here are respectful, and clean. Everything is convenient (restaurants/shopping/freeway/airport). I have never felt disrespected here. I have never felt unsafe here. For the unplanned direction my 25+ year nursing career took, I would not be able to continue to do the work I do if it weren’t for this hotel, and the incredible people who have been such a blessing in my life!

My review is based upon possible future booking. Didn't stay the night, however was given tours of two different rooms like most people said in their reviews, clean rooms. The rooms have a great size to them plenty of space and storage. I liked the offering of extra kitchen cookware the hotel offers. The hallway and main public spaces were kept clean, dated but clean. There was an odor to the hotel that I seen mentioned in other reviews, I would say that comes with the hotels age. I met lots of the staff members. Fantastic people. Great personalities and terrific humor. Would I stay? I travel for work a lot, while the place seemed friendly and hospitable well beyond its intended purpose. I feel as though it's a great price for an out of pocket expense for someone living on the road, great amenities and well priced.

I would rate this hotel with way more than 5 stars. From the location, cleanliness, and of course the staff. Katie from the staff even babysat my Yorkie boys so we could go out to dinner. There were so many great team members. Names I remember are Dave, Z, Carol, Katie, J, Meghan and apologies to the names I can’t remember. Spacious rooms with every amenity you can imagine. Full size fridge with ice maker, garbage disposal, dish washer and all utensils needed. Outdoor gazebo with grills for guests to use. At least 10 stars in my mind. We will definitely be back. We’re also recommending this hotel to all our family and friends.

****PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW BEFORE BOOKING YOUR STAY HERE****Needless to say will be my first and my LAST time staying here!!!! The room was very clean....however, we DID NOT get any sleep due to the beds being very uncomfortable! The beds were really HARD, and the pillows were not that soft. Not sure how a place like this can rent rooms when the beds feel like you are sleeping on a hard floor! I swear to God we left bright and early the next day without getting any sleep with our backs and necks hurting and very stiff! Just UNACCEPTABLE! Not to mention the hallways look old and outdated with an odor to them. There is NO swimming pool in the facility, and not to mention they put a $100 incidental hold on my debit card! I don't know of any places that do that anymore. I asked to speak with a manager and was told she was out and wasn't sure when she would be in!!! IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO GET A GOOD NIGHTS SLEEP.... DO NOT STAY HERE, YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED!!! THE ONLY THING YOU WILL LEAVE HERE WITH IS A VERY SORE AND STIFF BACK AND NECK!! IT'S NOT WORTH IT!! You're better off paying more money and staying at someplace expensive where you know you will get a good nights sleep!!!

I was so impressed with Simple Suites! They provided the best customer service. I booked online but when I got to the hotel they said the reservation haven’t come in yet. I was was not feeling well and just wanted to get into a room to rest. I said I’d go drive around and be back later. Before I even pulled out of my parking spot, one of the staff members came running out to my car and said my reservation came though and I could get into my room. And when I asked where the vending machine were, the staff said they would bring any snacks I wanted up to my room. Amazing customer service, super clean and I got a room with a kitchen. Loved it!

Our stay here was excellent because of exceptional customer service. Staff is friendly and professional. Property is clean and neat. Management went beyond the call of duty. Many thanks to Peter (property manager from Sonesta ES location) and Dave from Sonesta Simply Suites. They were both very helpful- I can’t thank them enough. 🏆🏆

Sonesta Simply Suites Cleveland was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. All the staff are very friendly and concerned about your comfort. The room was big and very clean. I loved the workspace setup as well as the bathroom. I didn't know about Sonesta before this, but will look first to Sonesta for all future hotel needs.

They were sneaking in my room after hours, in times i went to work 8pm to 8am. I started noticing cookies were missing and used toilet paper left on the seat. One day I was off and I open and closed the door at 6:50pm. At 7:55 pm someone used their card key to try and open the door but the latch stopped it. I open the door and heard two women say he's crazy. The ones who think others are crazy are the crazy ones. The front desk workers aren't friendly. Smile in your face and talk about you when they think you can't hear them. Very weird and creepy. Always sneaking around. The rooms are paper thin so you can hear everything. I was waking up to Crazy Employees placing their ears up to the door. I never experienced the Employees stalking me as i tried to sleep ever at any Hotel before. The last few days living there, there was a Loud mouth employee that worked the 4th floor and she was always ease dropping and loud yelling in the hallway around 8am to 3pm when I was trying to sleep. To not hear her loud mouth spew paranoid words out of it, i would turn the tv up and try to go back to sleep. They charged me correctly every week but on my last week they overcharged me by $178. I do not recommend staying here for more than a few nights. I stayed here for 2 months. Very sneaky and corrupt employees that work there. And here is why they shouldn't call anyone crazy, they don't have the necessary 13 years of college. That's why they don't know what Sleep Deprivation looks like when a hard worker comes home in the morning from working all night. And I only looked sleepy and walked to my room. That's how corrupt, Ignorant, and messy they were. One time everything was moved, the couch was closer to the bed and some of my Orange Juice had been missing. Corrupt thieves who Sneak around which made me choose to leave early, I no longer trusted them.

For this price...there's no better place in North Olmsted. A great, clean, fresh smelling suite with a ton of amenities. Quick and easy check in, polite staff. No complaints.

I have never posted a review of a hotel before, but after two fantastic nights at the Sonesta in North Olmsted, I felt so strongly about the experience that I had to. I've stayed in 5 different hotels in the past 7 months as I've been travelling a lot, and this beats them all. For half the price of a fancier hotel Downtown, I had better everything - the bed, the air conditioning, large room, quiet, clean, access to tons of nearby stores and food - I tried to find something wrong, but it was a perfect experience. Highly recommended.

Mixed experience. The public areas of the hotel are sad. They are dirty and depressing. The rooms are "clean" but our room had a funky smell that may have been rug shampoo. The offerings in room are spartan. It's ok but only as a last resort.

Nice rooms. I can not complain I would most definitely stay here again. Also it's in a great area with a mall and a lot of eateries.

Katie was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to ensure we were taken care of. All of the employees were friendly and knowledgeable. The location was perfect and we had many restaurants and shopping options to choose from. We will definitely be staying here again!

Didn’t like the fact that my room was next to a laundry room. Also my room had a door leading to another bedroom. Which meant I could hear what ppl were saying and doing in that room. And my room was on the ground floor, near the entrance, facing the parking lot. Which meant anyone and everyone in the parking lot could see everything I was doing. Including the weird employee who liked to park his truck right outside my window.

The hotel is convenient for us, but we found the property and staff very substandard. Although very icy and snowy, the grounds were not very well kept with dirty diapers and litter in the car park. Upon entering the lobby and first floor smelled of cigarette smoke and the carpets in the hallways and elevators needed vacuuming. Free WiFi is not free as advertised! You must join the Sonesta Rewards program to get it. The sink in the bathroom was clogged and was never fixed after reporting. No hot water in the morning! Was told it was because the water was being shut off later that day, but there was no mention of not having hot water several hours before. So we couldn't shower and would have done so before bed had we of been informed. Was unable to call reception or the operator as the phone had no options of numbers to dial for them. I randomly tried 0 etc., but none worked. The room was relatively clean but the bathroom floor needed severe mopping and there were empty frames on the wall without any artwork. The young man on the desk at checkout was not interested in our complaints and had a completely nonchalant attitude. Would not stay here again.

We stayed there for a family function. We got a suite because we wanted the extra comfortability. The hallways were dated and carpets are old and worn, the elevator s smelled like diesel fuel and was dirty. Our room was ok and mostly clean, inside the dresser drawers though we’re not. He toilet tan non stop the entire time we were there. We had a pull out bed in our room which we needed to use, and we’re going to ask for bedding and pillows for it, but when we checked in, the guest in front of us asked for 2 extra wash cloths and was told no, because as they wash them they turn them back out. Then the counter woman looked at us and said some people just don’t get it. Well that sealed the deal for me, we went to the Walmart bought our own pillows and bedding and stayed out of the hotel except for just to sleep. They also charged $10 to park. This was the first time I used this place and while I frequent the area a lot and stay many weekends, this will probably be the last time I use this establishment. What ashame.

Going to Ohio was a last-minute vacation trip. We wanted a hotel that had good reviews and in close area to places to eat. The guy named Sherman, who checked us in, was so sweet and helpful. We had an issue setting up our Playstation to the wifi, and he came to the room to help us out. The place is very clean and quiet and the bed is comfortable. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are looking to go to Ohio. Plus, it was like 25-30 min to places like the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Casino, Progressive Field, and Cleveland Browns football stadium.

This is a good location for anyone who wants to visit Cleveland. It has close proximity to the airport without being noisy and a very friendly staff. This is also an incredibly clean hotel that offers a nice weight room for that mid-vacation workout. It's also a stone's throw away from the interstate making it easy to travel around the Cleveland area to enjoy the many sites. They also have onsite grills for a chill night in.

I have never been so offended and been made to feel uncomfortable at a hotel after spending well over 15,000 in 2022 alone! Front desk management was a joke! Not to mention the General Manager who's never there, and puts forth little to no effort in guest services. And to add insult to injury my 2020 Kia Sportage got stolen out of there FRONT parking lot!!!!

Came here with my husband for the weekend for a staycation. We haven't slept this good in so long! The room was clean, and we really appreciated the kitchen! My only complaint is that the bathtub drain stopper wouldn't stay in to hold bathwater, but seriously that wasn't a big deal! The bed is so comfortable!

  • 5/5 Jeremy K. 2 years ago on Google
This is easily the best hotel in the area for the price. The staff is fantastic. I was surprised to see that I had a full kitchen as well. The price point makes it a no brainer to stay here while in the Cleveland area. I come into town often and have struggled to find a good hotel without breaking the bank. Glad I finally found one!

I want to start this review off with a special thanks to Alex, who was on the front desk when I checked in around 11pm. I will admit, Travelocity made this booking a nightmare, but the staff and the comfort of the room made everything a lot better. The room itself is like a home away from home with a kitchen and dishes and the staff are welcoming and helpful. Will definitely be staying here again.

100$ deposit that they hold that has to be on credit card or debit, can’t be cash. Sort of a hassle but not bad. Rooms weren’t the best , and had a weird pickle smell but had a rather large desk and laz e boy recliner . Nice size rooms. Didn’t like the window to our room being facing the road. Overall it I’ve been better places for the price. Right down the street , the la Quinta or extended stay is just as good if not , a lot, better for the same price or cheaper

Called them at 11:30PM at night and they had a room available for my family. Plenty of space, very clean, and quite reasonable. Also very friendly. I would definitely come back if I needed to stay near the airport.

This hotel is exactly what it looks like. Convenient, clean, friendly, and nice big rooms. Price is good for what is offered. Just be careful as the weekend rate is higher than the weekday rate.

Room was clean and spacious, bed was comfy. (I asked for a non-cat room since I am allergic, and they accommodated). Loved having a kitchen with a fridge and microwave. They have fresh delicious free coffee all day in the store room, along with free popcorn between 4-6pm with seasoning options. Laundry machines are free to use (wow), next to the gym. Free filtered water and ice station on 1st floor by elevator. Just great perks and conveniences all around. Will book again next time in Cleveland.

  • 1/5 Ricky R. 1 year ago on Google
Terrible customer service and almost non-existent. The rooms smell. No maintenance available on weekends to fix the continually running toilet that was making noise all night. The room was clean but the rest of the property very dirty. Baseboards were missing and cords running everywhere. They charged a parking fee that was not disclosed and this is a suburban neighborhood, not downtown.

Excellent location, and with a Walmart across the street it's super convenient. The down side of the hotel is the shower head and kitchen sink. Low flow heads so it's hard to rinse off, and our water never really got hot. The sink in the kitchen was worthless as it was a high pressure jet that got everything around it wet.

This hotel I just did not like, period. From the rooms, service, gym, floors, etc. I didn't get any housekeeping after I requested service they gave me fresh towels and sheets, so I basically had to clean my own room. I would definitely Not recommend this hotel. Keep driving to another.

Highly recommend staying here! I spend a lot of time in hotels due to near constant travel for work and have stayed at many Sonesta properties (they can be hit or miss). I was pleasantly surprised by this location across the board. Exceptional and friendly staff, well-cleaned rooms with comfortable bed, spacious bathroom, lots of storage space, and the kitchenette & large desk was a bonus! I only wish I could’ve stayed and enjoyed it for longer. Do not let the hallways fool you, as the rooms seem to be updated at some point in the past several years and are in really good condition. It was also very quiet and there are plenty of food and stores nearby.

The rooms are always clean, staff is always friendly! I stay here every single time I come to Cleveland. The price is competitive for a hotel room, and BEYOND great for a suite! They are about to start some renovations, so it’s only getting better!

I really like some of the staff they're really friendly and helpful. Katie especially was amazing. From my head is that my husband travels for work we have been there 2 months no problems. Then a housekeeper there named Desmon installing $80 out of our room. I as well watched him stealing Amazon packages from outside people's doors. When I asked him he said he was taking the package downstairs and never did I watched him throw the package away and walk away with the shoes that were inside. When my husband asked for the money he got upset and went in head is kicked out of the hotel the manager Dave was told that he stole the money and was told about the Amazon package he was stealing and did nothing about it but kick us out of the hotel for telling him. Other than that the other staff is great and wonderful. The front desk girl Tiffany gets an attitude with people and gives dirty looks. And if you have a housekeeper who is stealing from people how many other people's he stealing from and people don't realize it when they're stay over cuz he only takes a small amount. I think something should be done about it but when I said something about it I got kicked out of the hotel last minute got kicked out of the hotel after our stay was extended they came to us and said you have three hours to get out.

😠 Late flight caused me to check in at 2am, guy at the desk was very aggravated and talking to me somewhat aggressive. Was charged a security deposit upfront, which was not mentioned anywhere before, was told it was in case I smoke or damage the room. Get in the room pull back the comforter and there...
