SHORT STAFF ALL THE TIME AND DONT HAVE WHAT YOU NEED TO GET BETTER

This is the experience of my family and my personal opinion: If you have someone you care about with dementia DON’T place them here. My father did not get the care he deserved, most of the nursing staff is uncaring, most of all the Unit Head Nurse Jo. She is condescending and made underlying threats to my family during “care” meetings concerning our father. This was witnessed by other staff members and reported to Manor Care corporate. The last we knew she was still there and still in the same position. This women should not be in the nursing profession. One poor woman constantly had horrible bruises on her face. I witnessed other residents being treated with disrespect by staff members which made me wonder how my father was treated when one of us wasn’t there. There are a few staff members who treat residents well, I actually recommend one of them for excellence in performance. Unfortunately, the bad outweighs the good. The rooms often smell and floors sticky, our shoes would stick to the floor as we walked. We cleaned my fathers area on some occasions. The dining room was closed for several days due to fruit fly infestation. The ants were horrible in the dining room for awhile as well. There are several more things I could mention about my fathers stay here, I’ve kept my review to a few of them. Thank God we finally had my father transferred! As he was being assessed at check in I helped take his shirt off and found large dark bruises on his side/back and was told he seemed dehydrated. He is now being cared for with much more compassion and kindness. I haven’t met a rude staff member. Even the maintenance man went out of his way to introduce himself and speak kindly to my father as he helped to move some furniture . What a difference!!

BAD EXPERIENCE!!!! My grandma is currently here and in her end stages of life. Therefore she should not have people next door in a room screaming and yelling because of a bf/gf feud and no nurse or anybody controlling the situation or even checked when we told them what happened. I mean it was just awful and disrespectful for North Olmsted that's disappointing. People need to realize that this is more than a job for where they are , if they can't do it they should find elsewhere when dealing with peoples LIVES.

If I could give a negative score, I would. My grandma was here after a stroke, and the care was horrible!!! They never answered the patient calls, were always understaffed, didn't have working equipment, etc. My grandma died there... and I think it was because they just didn't pay any attention to her. I feel horrible for having here there. I wouldn't leave my dog there now.

My husband is getting the best possible care at this faculty that my mother was in 6 years ago. My husband has Stage 4 throat cancer then recently found out that he also has multiple brain tumors associated with the throat cancer. I would recommend this nursing home to anyone looking for good quality care.

I have been a temporary resident here before.This facility is one of the few that I would return to if I had to.They take such great care of the residents.I feel safe and comfortable around the clock.I never have any problems with the staff.I receive the utmost respect from everyone.I don't really have a favorite staff member.

The administrator is very attentive and the staff seem to be doing the best they can. I am seeing some good improvements there is still a lot more to do, they seem to be heading in the right direction.
