I ordered a piece of furniture from Kaplan and was told that it would take 8-12 weeks to get it, reluctantly I went through with it. 6 months later and a few phone calls later I didn’t receive anything. Spoke to someone at the store about a refund and the managers solution was to offer me the floor model with no discount, I almost went through with it until they told me there was no return or warranty like the original item I purchased. I voiced my opinion about offering me a much worse option at the same price, so the manager called me back and said they would give me 10% off but this also would not come with the free shipping that the original order had because it was a floor model. 6 MONTHS OF WAITING AND THIS WAS THE MANAGERS SOLUTION, Can’t make this stuff up this is how bad this place is

Offer a great selection and quality products. However the customer service is majorly lacking across the board. Spent a great deal of money on multiple room sets and was told there would be a 4 week lead time to get things in due to COVID-19. Rushed to order quick in time for moving into new house. Needless to say, furniture did not arrive for almost 3 months! No follow up calls from staff across board and had to call several times to see where things stood. I believe in shopping local, but quality customer service is a must. Delivery guys were great on back end, just feel like once they have items sold they could care less about time frame to get items out. Told repeatedly they were so busy to keep up with all their customers (should never use excuse of too much business). Guess I’m old school, but I don’t care if you spend $1 or $10,000, you should be taken care of no matter what. The system needs fixed!

Love their furniture! Their clearance section has some insanely low prices for some insanely high quality items!

I purchased a $2000 L shaped couch from Kaplan about 6 years ago and very quickly the leather started to fall apart. The couch was not exposed to sunlight, I do not own a pet, and I never used any harsh chemicals to clean. Buyer beware when purchasing anything from this location as I am sure that when making such a large purchase you do not want your couch to start looking like the photo that I attached after 3-5 years.

We have gone here multiple times for furniture with no issues. This past fall we ordered some new living room furniture that was scheduled to be delivered in February. Called the store to check on the status and they said now it’s scheduled for April. It’s bad enough that we had to call to find out about the delay, but when I said how is this our problem the sale associate said it’s not their problem either. Very professional.

I have been looking for the perfect coffee table and side tables for a month. When I say that I have been to every store in NE Ohio I’m not exaggerating and the hours I spent online trying to find the perfect pieces only to find out that they were not available any longer would make a normal person scream!!! When I went to Kaplan’s and explained what I was looking for they truly listened to me. They didn’t pressure me to buy anything and they were so patient while I had them running around like crazy checking the availability. I was able to order custom pieces that are un-stained so I can match perfectly what I have at home. I can’t wait until they come in and I sincerely appreciate all the help!!!

I purchased a full living room set with a section sofa, coffee table and side tables at Kaplan’s. All look fantastic in my living room. The salesperson was laid pack and the delivery guys had everything set up for me in no time at all with no mess.

Low pressure sales, timely delivery. As to products, up to your tastes and needs.

The service was fantastic. I'm only sorry that they are closing - but, I suppose many of us only came because we heard about the closure. The gentleman who helped me was very polite and helpful.

We purchased two rocker recliner chairs and a couch. The recliner mechanisms/handles consistently break through normal use. The extra protection plan from Guardsman is absolutely useless and a waste of money. Guardsman is unprofessional and labeled our request for repair as “under review” for months without offering any communication for a reason that the parts have not even been ordered or repaired. Although Kaplans is not responsible for the claims to Guardsman, it is a reflection on the quality of the furniture they sold and the businesses they partner with.

I can see why they are closing this store. What was left for sale was not clearly marked. When I asked what the deals were I was asked what I wanted to pay. When I told the salesman I didn't play that game he said he could give me 20% off. Not a good deal.

We bought our furniture a couple years ago and decided we needed 1 more thing. Everyone very helpful for the special order piece we were wanting.

Complete scam, she give me the price for 2 coffee table and I told to start the paper work in mean time I was looking for something else, after 15 min she came to me and told me that the price was wrong and give me the new price for a bit more then double. Is a mess there, no price shows in product, just some code and the seller comes to you and calculate the price and "discount" . Totally scam!

Tried to sell me real wood "pressboard" furniture at half price of 2500.00, no wonder your going out of business, get the same stuff at home depot or way fair for 1200.00. Tried to sell me a deep discount caster chairs and table that was damaged AND 2 chairs broken/bent for 1500.00 then lowered it to 788.00 for garbage? No thanks. Then the "owner" was nasty about it. Like HE was insulted I wouldn't buy his broken furniture

My mom and I had a fantastic experience at this Kaplan's! We were there a couple days ago to purchase a couch for my new home and our sales lady Susan was so nice! She was very patient with us as we were trying to make up our minds, she offered her advice and expertise in a great way. I honestly felt like I was shopping with a 2nd mom, she was so nice. She was so bright and cheerful and just a dream to work with. I couldn't have had a better experience with anyone else. Thanks Susan for making my first couch shopping an easy and fun experience! She also got us a few deals and gifts with our purchase which was great! Highly recommend Susan when you are here!

I had the most amaizing experience there today! We were looking for a recliner, I remembered we got our couches there a while ago. Go in and met Matt, he was awesome super sweet, knowledgeable, and then gave us our space to check things out. BAM! Found the perfect electri recliner at an unbelievable price (as the fabric had been discontinued. Bought it on the spot, and drove it home! Thankyou Matt, and lady that was typing...so much fun with you two! Thanks Lisa

Same overpriced merchandise. One couch in entire store was less than 500. One!! It looked decent and was nice for comfort but this store needs some lower end models. It didn't even have a loveseat to go with it !! The people were nice but it's like they don't care about your business when you tell them you don't want a $1500 couch.
