They had mixed up their schedules, forgotten discussions pertaining to the service, and approached us for payment that was already made two days prior to the service. There was no funeral director to guide the guests, just two very rude staff members in the vestibule. I have never attended a service that was so unwelcoming and intolerant toward a grieving family. I do not recommend holding your loved ones' memorial services at Sunset Memorial Park, unless you enjoy having doors slammed, passive aggressive comments passed between staff within hearing of the guests, and nasty looks and comments made toward both adults and children.

I strongly recommend looking for other funeral services and burial options. Two weeks after my family member passed they called trying to sell me other burial options for future use. My family member was to have military honors with gun salute. The only thing they arranged was a military man playing taps. They will not permit graveside service. Ask yourself why? Because they do not service the graves after burial. Most graves are sinking. Talk a walk out there. You can break a leg or dislocate a knee. So they will not take your loved one graveside they set their port a tent on the roadside. They also do not seed the closed grave. YOU will do your own if you want something besides a mud hole in the winter or dirt pit in the spring. They do not allow you to decorate as you wish it's this can't go on here or there at this time or that. Funeral director was extremely rude and insensitive on the day of the funeral. The sunset money pit never ends. Don't bury your money use it wisely to look elsewhere.

I was a visitor at a memorial service here today. I could not believe how absolutely RUDE the staff was to family and people attending services. I was absolutely disgusted with how children were treated. Told they had to stay downstairs and mocked parents of children who were just being KIDS. The receptionist actually screamed at a family member. It was appalling and I can't believe the family paid a tremendous amount of money for a service like this. Disgusting.

My husbands mother was on hospice so we went to Dostal Bokas to make her funeral arrangements. We met Rebecca Leiter who assisted us in making the arrangements. Rebecca was the kindest, most caring person we could have hoped to meet to assist us in making the difficult decisions that we had to make. We truly appreciate all of her assistance, kind words and compassion during this process and after. After my mother-in-law passed, Terry Trombino and Andy Janosek assisted us greatly with the final arrangements. Both were very helpful, patient and compassionate. I truly feel that my mother-in-law is in the best possible place now. Thank you for everything you did to help my family.

We had to say goodbye to my mother today and canโ€™t say enough about the services we received from Dostal Bokas Funeral. From the arrangements to the wake and then the burial we were treated with kindness throughout the entire process. I would highly recommend them and sunset for an all inclusive service. Thank you Lisa and Rebecca and the entire staff for helping us celebrate my moms life and her finally wishes.

We chose this funeral home for our infant family member. Not only was the memorial, service, plot and burial free of charge, the funeral home was beautiful and the staff was amazing. Norma Clifton and Adam were absolutely professional, compassionate, and very very willing to go above and beyond to help our service be as beautiful and easy as possible as well as care for our grieving members. Adam was very gentle and compassionate and Norma even showed up on her day off the offer her condolences to our family and to make sure we were completely taken care of. With the help of Norma and Adam we were able to make a beautiful memory out of a tragedy. My heart will always go out to Norma as well as Adam for their services and general compassion. Very blessed and privileged to have our baby in the care of Dostal Bokas, Norma Clifton and Adam.

We recently used Dostal Bokas Funeral Service for the unexpected death of my brother. On behalf of my family I would like to thank Lisa Elias, and Nickolas. We sincerely appreciate your efficient customer service and the level of detail and accountability you have demonstrated. The extra efforts were so special such as making a CD of some of my brothers favorite music ๐ŸŽถ and the fine job making us the DVD. We enjoyed seeing pictures from the past and many that we forgot about. Lisa, the little touch of the toy car was touching and we would like to think heโ€™s driving on the highway to heaven. ๐Ÿš™ With appreciation, Rose and Bob Steffien

Nice generic graveside service. E'one is nice . . . UNTIL YOUR MOM'S DEATH CERTIFICATE IS INCORRECT! There are serious legal ramifications to declaring s'one mentally incompetent on a death certificate! My Mom didn't have ONE DAY of "Altzheimer's Dementia"! Do all seniors get tagged like this? That's age discrimination! & NO ONE CARES! Not a kind word or CONCERN about this SERIOUS error!

My mother was laid beautifully to rest August 20, 2022 I am so thankful for Veronica and Sunset Memorial. They exceeded my expectations and I'm confident they will do the same for you. You held me together with your organizational skills and your listening ear. You are a remarkable woman with extraordinary customer service skills. Thank you for being who you are and for all that you have done and continue to do. May God bless you and your friendly staff. I remember her attention to detail, utmost professionalism, and feeling like she became part of our family in the process. Veronica helped us honor my mother from my perspective, the funeral services she provided helped me and continues to help me deal with the loss. My family and friends kept saying how wonderful the funeral service was while our family walked away knowing that we remembered and honored my mother absolutely perfectly in the way she would have wanted. Every detail was absolute perfection. It is never easy to lose someone you love and I can't imagine anyone being able to remember and honor the life of a loved one more professionally and elegantly than Veronica and Sunset Memorial

My wife and I have had some time to process our loss and I wanted to make a point to get on here and express our sincerest gratitude. We lost our little girl mid-way through pregnancy and decided cremation was the route we wanted to take to get her home. At a moment where our emotions were at their worst and decisions needed to be made.... Thank you for showing us compassion and empathy in the steps to get our very wanted little girl home. The service you provided for our family will always hold a special place in our story. Thank you.

The loss of a baby is devastating. One of the hardest things to deal with. The whole staff our family dealt with was beyond phenomenal especially Arie who was wonderful to deal with. The compassion and care we received for our grandson was amazing and they went above and beyond to help our family through this difficult time. I will forever be grateful and thankful. Thank you again for everything.

Sunset helped with the arrangements of our father's funeral. Kate was the Funeral Director and she was kind and compassionate and available after hours to help answer all of our questions. Everything went smoothly thanks to the organization of Sunset Funeral Services. Thank you for making a difficult time so much easier. Love, The Angel Family

We worked with Kate, she did a great job understanding our needs and helped tailor the service to represent and honor my mom. The cost was reasonable and all the options were well laid out. We were able to have a final goodbye before cremation which was very special for us. It was a great experience, working with Sunset and Kate in particular. I will use their services again in the future and recommend them highly.

Norma Cliftonโ€™s service goes above and beyond to solve problems, completes details and cares completely about you and your family. She returns calls quickly and is extremely passionate about her job. I only hope when we pass on she is still with Sunset Memorial. Bless you Norma! Jeannie & John Sheley

After recently losing both of my parents within a few days of each other, my siblings and I met Kari. She was helpful, knowledgeable and very well prepared when we arrived. Above all, Kari was very compassionate during an extremely difficult time. Even though most of the arrangements had been taken care of by my parents, there was never any pressure of any kind to add more then what we needed. Kari made herself available anytime we had questions and was quick to get back to us. Kari is a true professional and made the planning process a little easier and we greatly appreciated that.
