I've only been here a couple times as it's well out of my way. As much as I would love to say I'm amazed that they're still in business based on the exorbitant pricing on most of the(very few) marked items I'd guess selling maybe 3-4 items a week probably pays the rent and all fees associated with running a business. I will say the volume is impressive even if you can't access, see or touch 70% of the items in the stores. Inside it looks like an episode of hoarders on steroids to the point I'm fairly certain any sane fire marshall would shut them down at a single glance inside. Going through the owner responses to other reviews I feel obligated to call to attention multiple falsehoods. They do not visibly offer masks, gloves or hand sanitizer or have any visible in the store despite having signage saying they offer masks to customers without. I did not see a phone number posted on the doors/windows anywhere. Not a single sign in the building simply say anything along the lines of "ask for assistance with this" or "feel free to ask about this" half of the signage throughout the store simply says "DO NOT TOUCH!" not that you'd be able to anyway as most inventory is buried behind other things to the point I'm fairly certain it would take 10 minutes of moving and reorganizing to open any of the multitude of display cases. I can also say in the times I've been in the store it is rarely busy with more than two or three people total, not like the open area in the store could hold more than that regardless, so claims of being "very busy" are likely false and used as a way to justify rudeness and horrible customer care. Most amazing of all is how do people all over the country rant and rave about the " amazing quality, depth, rarity and pricing" of your items and service but your rating is a paltry 2.8 stars and the largest complaints against you are shared by NUMEROUS PEOPLE? Is it all the people that share a terrible experience at your stores that are the problem? Somehow I doubt it.

Antique Dealers Review: Turn Away! •Extremely common items marked 1110% above market value •Absolutely Crowded store, not ADA Compliant •Few Items Priced •Rude and Argumentative Owner Absolutely crowded store to the point the owner fell over and tripped over his disorganized placement of product. He knocked down couple of things during his tumble. Store definitely not ADA Compliant. Only few things were priced and owner makes up prices on the spot. Most likely to evaluate how much you will spend so he can rip you off. Another reason nothing is priced could be because all the owner does is buy buy buy and has too much to deal with so they don’t price anything. Female was absolutely pleasant, the male owner unfortunately was not. Owner also is committing tax fraud. Refused to provide me with a receipt because I paid in cash then when I asked for a receipt he stated I needed to give back the item so he could essentially do a refund and charge tax. Edit in Response to Review Reply** I made it extremely clear I was buying for a personal piece and not to trying to resell. Owner again is smug to the point they are trying to cover their shady dealings Owner also berated us flea market style trying to make a sale. Obviously he was hurting so much for money because his desperation to make a sale was very obvious

I wanted to learn more about the history of the Cleveland area and what kinda of "stuff" they used to have and still keep. I would define this store as a classic hole in the wall shop. It's packed full, stacked on top and leaning up against it's self. If you have the time to look hard, this is full of treasures. They have furniture, dishes, jewelery, deco, lamps etc. They have a sister store two doors where I stopped to take the photo. I am not familiar with the Ohio antique market, but compared to South Dakota, their prices are very high, however this may be normal in the area. The clerk who helped me was very pleasant and knowledgeable about antiques and the history and interesting places in the area. I give them only 3 stars as you had to ring the doorbell to get in and they are either in one store or the other, so you may have to walk two doors down to get help. The three items I was interested in did not have a price marked and the clerk wouldn't sell them without the owner establishing a price (he was not in). The clerk was very nice though and called the own so I could purchase the ring I wanted.

Really was looking forward to seeing this shop. When I walked in it was a scene from an episode of hoarders. Narrow isles with stuff stacked six feet high, literally. Items that you could see and were priced were way above market value. Then there was tons of non priced items. The owner, Laurence couldn’t come up with a price without researching it and getting back to me, then he could ship it. Doesn’t seem like he really wants to sell anything. Sadly disappointed, I really liked some items, but couldn’t get any reasonable prices.

I had a great experience buying a gorgeous chest. Laurence and Sally were very kind, professional, and communicative. I will definitely return for future purchases.

I was looking forward to finding some pretty treasures. Oddly, they would not let me in. I rang the bell, but no answer. They were clearly open. I was fully masked as the sign on the door required for entry. But alas no entry.

An amazing shop run by helpful, knowledgeable individuals. We went in looking for stained glass and they dug through dozens of pieces to help us to find the right fit. We will definitely come back here for all our antique and eclectic needs. Also, it's two separate stores on the same small stretch so there's more to explore. Thank you again!

I had the most wonderful experience with Lawrence and his staff. My husband and I had been looking for a mid-century dining set, something with clean lines and not too big, and found a posting of a set we liked on Craigslist. We contacted the poster and it turned out to be Lawrence, who set up a time with us to view the piece. Since his shop is very full he and his staff assembled the set in the courtyard behind the building for us to view. We fell in love with it right away--it has a beautiful look and a sturdy build, the upholstery was clean and in great shape, and there are little details that make the set unique. We did notice some small gaps in the joints that support the table but didn't think too much of it at the time and made the purchase. Lawrence had planned to touch up some small scuffs before delivery for us but when he had his woodworking guy take a look, the guy said that the dowels inside those supporting joints needed to be replaced. Lawrence let us know right away and absorbed the cost of the work himself. He kept us posted about the process of the work and set up a delivery with us as soon as it was ready. He and his team did a great job delivering the set and setting it up for us in our dining room. He gave detailed instructions for taking care of the piece and even called after he left because he thought of one last thing. He also clued us into the idea that we could have a piece of glass cut for the top if we wanted to use it without a cloth but protect the wood. He gave several recommendations of local businesses who could do the work and what to ask for. In short, he was extremely caring, attentive, and knowledgeable and went the extra mile for us. We love the set and really enjoyed the entire experience of working with him. We'll look forward to working with him again next time we're in the market!

Mind blowing selection and fun!! One of the best true, genuine Antique stores around. You'll love this place whether you are antique savvy or simply enjoy hunting for wonderful things. So many unsual, cool, beautiful and rare pieces---things you won't easily find anywhere else. Artisan Antiques is a must go-to place for my home, gifts and collections. KNOWLEDGEBLE, friendly and helpful staff. Always worth the time and any money spent. Kudos to all good small hardworking businesses like these that are managing to survive the COVID pandemic and who despite the tough odds continue to add something special to our community and challenging lives.

This store is horrifying cluttered store! The store owner is very hostile. The items in is store is very over priced for very common items. 145 for a baby Ben clock! You can go to any other antique store and find the same one in better condition for $35. All the items were completely dusty and very crusty. Just like how he commented on the person below me he gets mad when you don’t like the prices, you cannot walk through the store without hitting anything the stove, or neither even fell because of how cluttered it was. The store owner never asked for my tax ID or vendors license number. Owner said “ throwing a bone.” equals out to overly priced items. was told I would have to return my item to get a receipt, which being a vendor myself that doesn’t make sense. There was a clear unfortunate breakdown of miscommunication of the store owner taking no for an answer on items that we did not want because they were too overpriced.

I don’t really leave reviews but after seeing what others have said I feel I should. My mother and I had an absolutely wonderful experience with Lawrence and Sally. We were there for over 4 hours. They were both incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. I got some truly stunning pieces. I cannot wait to go back!!

In July I purchased a beautiful, leaded glass, art-deco transom window for my new home addition. Lawrence & Sally were delightful to work with. They were very patient with us as we made multiple visits to the store owing to the fact that we couldn't make up our minds. Once we decided on the window we wanted, Lawrence & Sally were very helpful. I feel the pricing was fair and, frankly, the superb customer service was a welcome change from recent shopping experiences other places. I highly recommend shopping with Artisan Antiques and Jewelry. I was waiting to write this review because I wanted to include a picture of my purchase after it was installed in my house; however, construction is taking longer than expected and so our purchase is not yet installed. Hopefully I will soon be able to add a photo to my review.

Fun place to browse for interesting items from all decades. Jam packed a bit, but if you're looking for something specific, u can more than likely find it here. Owner has additional items stored next door and in the basement, so if u don't see what u want (e.g. MCM table lamp, Heywood Wakefield bedroom furniture, stained glass, etc.) ask and he is likely to pull out several items from storage. I was looking for a 50's-style teak statue and he had a great little gem that I love. It is somewhat difficult to maneuver in the crammed space and prices can be a bit high, but the wide selection and knowledgeable owner and staff are pretty hard to beat. I only wish I had more space to get more of his lovely items.
