On Sanibel Island with lots of great places to eat The Pecking Order keeps coming up in "Ten best places to eat." searches. I must admit I was intrigued. The chicken is deep fried under pressure and it is moist, tender and juicy. The mashed potatoes are fresh and the gravy is really tasty too. Grab a big side called the Harlem special. It's a layer of black eyed peas, layer of rice on top of collard greens. The chef means business with this much goodness. You can eat there on the porch or we chose to take ours back to the condo. Great eats!

Fabulous! The Harlem special is incredibly good and the fried chicken was fresh out of the fryer. We were the first customers in that morning. The owners are extremely friendly. This is one of the best meals that we have had on Sanabel island!

Chicken was delicious. I generally judge chicken by flavor, cripsy texture, and how juicy the white meat is as it tends to be more dry than other pieces of chicken and this place has some of the best fried chicken from a restaurant. Service was quick and staff was very friendly with the owner chatting with us. If you like collard greens I definitely recommend them! We tried the Harlem special and enjoyed every bit of it.

I enjoy their food. I fully support this restaurant not just because of their food but I am part Haitian and to know the owners have a passion for Haiti makes it all the more reason to support.

Want fried chicken? This is the best place on the island to get it. We got the 12 piece meal with 2 sides. We did get an extra side because it was 3 of us. More than enough for 3-4 people to share. Crispy chicken and juicy with plenty of side dressing to go - many are made by them. The price was $$, but well worth it. Surprise was the wings were still attached to the breast which made it for me. Like that as shows definitely prepared onsite.

The fried chicken was as good as my moms, and that's saying alot..the chicken nuggets delicious, they weren't overcooked, definitely fresh not frozen' ..homemade nuggets" the sides were hot and tasty, the biscuit soft and fresh..price wasn't cheap, but not so high you couldn't afford to eat..price was average to other restaurants.. I would definitely recommend this place, seafood is great, but change it up, I live on a barrier Island in NC so seafood isnt all I look for, so finding this great chicken place was a plus, service was quick, courteous and clean...cant wait to come back again..til then have a prosperous New Year, and keep up the awesome chicken"..

I did not expect to be going to a chicken restaurant on Sanibel but I did and I am glad I went. Easy to get to. The plumpest chicken breasts I have ever been been served and also had the fried okra which was good. Like I said, glad I went and I will be back.

I’m sorry to give this place a 3/5 but if you’re going to specialize in pie your crust should be amazing and theirs was sadly not. Hard and cracker thin, not light and flaky, everything a crust should be to build the foundation of your pie. We had the Buckeye and Coconut Cream Pies and really did enjoy the Buckeye with the chocolate crumb crust, hence the 3 stars, but the Coconut cream tasted like a pudding from a box and well, the crust.
