My family and I made a 1.5 hour trip out of state to try Archer Seafood. We ordered a bushel of XL male crabs, cooked, and seasoned. Our experience was truly fantastic from phone call order, to food. The customer service was genuinely fantastic, the store was kept open past closing time to wait for us! We were told upon arrival “I will always wait for a customer no matter the time”. The customer service of both men working this place was phenomenal. We left feeling great and arrived at home to enjoy such meaty, flavorful crabs. 5 stars!

Great seafood! I buy a variety of fish and seafood here. Always fresh! The service is excellent! I love these guys! Highly recommended! Bought these Branzino today and Mike recommended I pan fry them. So that’s what I did! They were sweet and delicious!

12/24/23— adding an update a year later. Archar did NOT disappoint! The lobsters and clams were out of this world. Mike and his team are the best!!! This place is fantastic! The other reviews are spot on! The customer service is great and Mike is a true gentleman. I needed a large order of little neck clams cleaned for Christmas Eve and he was able to accommodate. Will definitely be going here from now on.

This was our first time trying this store because we are new to the area. Me and my brother in law went in to pick up the crabs that were already ready for us and we met Michael, and you can tell how passionate he is about his business and the love he has for his customers. It was all jokes and laughs and we had a good time while we were cashing out. Went home, cooked up the crabs and basted them with the seasoning he provided, and I must say, the most amazing crabs I’ve had ever. I don’t normally leave reviews, but I had to this time because his crabs were so meaty, juicy and so fresh. I highly recommend anyone and everyone who loves seafood to give this place a try. I will be a regular customer for sure.

The freshest seafood on this planet!! The large shrimp were cleaned to perfection! The whiting was so flaky and delicious also. Let me not forget the wonderful customer service Mike was so helpful and courteous! His brother super helpful! I am a customer for life you will not be disappointed! I stumbled upon this seafood gem when I got a craving for crabs during a drive from Delaware to NYC. Having grown up in Delaware, I’m a blue crab connoisseur, and I can say without hesitation that these were the BEST crabs I’ve ever had. Truly. They were fresh and HUGE. Biggest claws that I’ve ever seen. Enormous lumps of meat. Michael, the owner, was absolutely wonderful. For New Yorkers who love crabs, I highly recommend stopping at Archar Seafood on your way in/out of the City. Call ahead to order and Michael will have them waiting for you. The store had a lot of other seafood options as well and plenty of parking. You won’t be disappointed.

One of the best businesses around town, hands down! Everyone that ready to great you with a smile and a welcoming presence. The food is very fresh, and you can see that their care for you as a customer, extends to the quality and selection they have to offer. I ordered a mixed bushel of male and female crabs a week in advance with seasoning on the side, and the day of pick up, added a bushel of oysters all for my post wedding family picnic. Can’t say anything more than Archar Seafood is an all around class act!

I found Archar & Mike last minute when I needed crabs for our Crab Fest after finding out the day before that the place we ordered from couldn't get them for us. Talk about panic. Mike was the best! Not only did he hook me up the same day, he called when they were ready, treated me like he knew me for years, helped me to the car and his prices are great. Don't look anywhere else! At Archar you will get great seafood, service and you will leave with a smile. I am so happy to have found this great little place! If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

Omg!!!! Where do I begin? This place is beyond amazing! The seafood is fresh,and cooked to order.. I ordered the blue crabs, they're delicious and full of meat! Now let's talk about the best part of my experience! The owner! He's simply amazing, he goes above and beyond to make your experience worth it! I will definitely be back here! Update!!!! I came back today, and the crabs are just as yummy as the 1st time I visited here.. Do yourselves a favor and come here if you want cooked to perfection blue crabs!

Absolutely incredible. There are 2 things that stood out at Archar: Service and quality. Service: Mike and his team were phenomenal. From the time that I called and spoke to him to the time that I picked up, I was so excited to try the crabs. Mike was extremely personable, friendly and made sure to accommodate all of our needs. He cooked the crabs separately so they were unseasoned for us since they were for my grandfather. He was even kind enough to give us 2 bags of seasoning on the side so we could try it. I called the day before to discuss the plan, and he told me to call the day of to just confirm. As soon as I called, he remembered me and my crabs were cooked and ready to go as soon as I got there. He even made sure I was shown the crabs before they were packed so I could see they weren’t seasoned. Quality: Wow. The crabs were HUGE, flavorful, and extremely fresh. My grandfather LOVED them and was so excited. Every time we have a family get together he’ll ask for crabs and we never know where to go. We’ve finally found our spot. Thank you to Mike and everyone else at Archar for helping create an incredible Father’s Day. Highly highly encourage everyone in the area (and those far away) to stop by. You will not be disappointed!

If I could give 10 starts I would. We wanted to do a seafood boil at home. Didn't know where to start, saw the amazing reviews for Archar Seafood and knew we had to go with them. From my first phone call to the market, I got nothing but, great customer service, very kind and helpful. Michael kindly went through the process of making a seafood boil ourselves. We purchased lobsters, snow crab legs, clams and jumbo shrimp and we did exactly as he suggested and it came out wonderful. He even called the next day to see how we did with our first seafood boil at home. All of the seafood was so fresh and delicious, it was outstanding!! This is our go to place for seafood for now on!

The salmon itself was good quality. Potentially farm raised based on the fat marbling but I didn’t think to ask until home. Still was delicious! The service was phenomenal. Got to chat with the owner, Mike, who took the time to speak to me and show other cuts, even though they were dealing with issues with the credit card machine. He gave me a 1/2 lb of jumbo shrimp on the house and let me pay half cash and called the next day so I could pay the rest via cc over the phone. Obviously more expensive than a chain, but good quality products and great service can’t be matched. Will be back.

Archar Seafood is not my new spot to go to for my seafood preferences . The owner treated us nice , customer service was better than any service I’ve receive in Maryland. Very family oriented and was even kind & interacted with my children while we waited for our order. My crabs were so sweet and delicious. Even the shrimp was amazing . Hands down this is my new spot to get seafood from and he definitely has a loyal customer out of me and my family . Visit this seafood shop and will not be disappointed !!

Yesterday was my first time coming to Archar Seafood! Michael was so helpful and welcoming. He is so passionate about his business and shares that passion with his customers. I bought a dozen local blue crabs and made a South Indian style crab curry! If you want quality seafood and quality service look no further. We will definitely be back!

It was my first time at Archar today but Mike welcomed me in like an old friend. First time at a seafood market with no experience had me feeling more nervous than a first date. I love seafood but normally don’t cook it myself and didn’t know what to order or how to order it. Reviews online said crabs were good so I gave them a shot. Mike whipped them up for me in the store with some really good seasoning, and I also got a half pound of sashimi grade scallops. Not only was the food great, but the experience of being a customer in a store where you can feel the energy, enthusiasm, and care of the owner is extremely humbling and warm. Can’t wait to go back to try some more different fish and oysters.

First time finding this beautiful hidden GEM! My husband Andrew had the pleasure of meeting Michael and Frank- and made him feel right at home as if he knew them for 30 years already! Okay now the good part ! The food is out of this world. The crabs, crab legs, shrimp, clams, oysters were to die for and the quality was amazing !!!!! They cooked everything for us, and it was perfectly seasoned. If your on the fence don’t be ! Go there and see for yourself ! What a wonderful experience. They have gained a new family member ! I stopped in the week before Thanksgiving to buy some fresh fish. The quality and prices of the seafood was great. I decided to do a seafood boil for my Thanksgiving dinner and they were my first choice.

We went to shop at Achar’s for our Thanksgiving. The owner was very nice, he was closed, but opened for us when we called. We bought tuna, clams, shrimps, and octopus. They were all so fresh and delicious! Highly recommended the shop!
