Excellent meal! My husband said that the schwarma was some of the best he’s had. I really enjoyed the broccoli cheddar soup. My favorite part of the meal though was dessert! Their milkshakes and malts are fantastic! Legitimately the best chocolate malt I had ever tasted. Normally, malts are too heavy with the malt flavor but this one was perfectly balanced. Can’t wait to go back and try more menu items.

Great menu, large portions, delicious food! We always get the wonderful French fries. This is go to place for out-of-town guests if they want to eat out.

New York City style deli to the Bone. Food was delicious. Had the corned beef and egg pita sandwich. Staff were friendly and upbeat. Can't wait to go back. Enjoy!

I used to really enjoy this place. Haven't been there in 3 years. I was disappointed. Not a big deal but crayons and a coloring page weren't given at seating. My son was bouncing off the walls and we had to ask if they were still giving them to kids to occupy them- they supplied us. All together we had fries, bean chili, and veggies burgers. The veggie burger seemed fried. The chili was meh. The fries were the best part of the meal- one order if fries feeds at least two adults. We also ordered a salad which was just that a salad. Nothing special and decent sized for the price. Overall, a meh experience and not thinking I'll go out of my way to visit anymore. - forgot to grab a photo of the veggie burger. Photos were an afterthought.

After a 15 year hiatus due to a move, our family renewed our love of Tommy's. Everything was fresh and made to order.... And tasted just exactly the same as 15 years ago. Since we've added kids to the mix, we did a lot of plate sharing. French onion soup, fries, shakes, Big M, and my favorite the potato and escarole pie. Tommy's has gone beyond expectations for Covid prevention measures. Tables spaced out, staff in masks, and a huge air purifier. Because of these measures, this was also our 1st return to in-person dining.

One of the first and still best vegan/vegetarian restaurants in Cleveland area. Menu isn’t super expansive for us vegans, but it’s expansive enough (and everything labeled well). The vegan shakes are AMAZING!!!! I loved this place growing up and still do decades later ☺️ It’s the perfect spot. BTW - you have to try the spinach pie sometime, it’s so good! It took me so long to try it and I am sad I missed out on all those years not knowing of its taste.

Tommy’s is a really fascinating restaurant because it’s got this weird mix of midwestern American food and Lebanese food, and the two somehow come together to form the most amazing fusion. My case for this is this amazing little wrap called the ‘Cuban’. It’s 4 oz of corned beef, onion, pickles, mustard, mushrooms, sesame sauce & cheese in a pita!! I’m not exaggerating when I say this was one of the most interesting and amazing sandwiches (wrap?) I’ve ever had. I didn’t even want to finish my meal because I was so full, but I just had to finish this masterpiece of a wrap. This was my first time going to tommy’s, and I might be stopping again any time I find myself in Coventry again. P.S. I wasn’t able to try it, but everyone says their milkshakes are the best, especially their rootbear float.

Food was very good! One of the best burgers I have had. Service was quick for how busy it was. We arrived about 3 mins after they opened and they were already practically full. We sat in the back and it was very loud, that’s probably my only complaint. I would advise to sit more in the front

The sandwiches we had were great, the falafels are just mediocre, we got the chili and it was too spicy 🔥 and it wasn't thick like it should be it was thin like soup, I will say their service is great they replaced it no problem with our choice of french onion soup and that tasted like they burnt the onions while making the soup. Overall I would say good experience just stay away from their chili and soups 💯

This place has something for everyone on your dietary list. The menu is very extensive and they have both gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options available. Expect a wait to be seated because of the popularity of this place but you are in a business district and can kill time browsing some of the nearby shops. Everything here is Ala carte but portion sizes are generous. Really enjoyed their falafel with s side of steamed vegetables. They also sell Tees and the layout is very vibe. A must do if you are in the Coventry area of Cleveland

A decades-long community staple for a reason. The food is delicious, the shakes are a must-try, and the ambience is natural and green. They've adapted wonderfully to the changing health climate, and I feel completely safe and comfortable eating there.

Visiting from out of town the other day and had heard good things about Tommy’s so I decided to check it out. Alyssa on the phones was so helpful and friendly. Food was delicious. She recommended the tofu salad sandwich and it was excellent. The milkshakes were also delicious and worth the splurge! Will definitely be back if I’m ever in town again!

Delicious! Ate breakfast here because saw online they had vegan options! So rare to find vegan breakfast. The tofu scramble was delicious and our server was so kind to make sure the chef made the hash browns vegan and to bring us vegan butter for our toast. Really looking forward to returning to check out their lunch/dinner menu.

The shakes are probably the best in town. I have no complaints about the gluten free bun on the burger either. I would caution against the fries though. They are $5 and made out of about 8 potatoes.

We ordered the Wildflower falafel, Rebel Falafel, DB pie, pizza and an Oreo milkshake. We appreciated the many vegetarian and vegan options as I am vegan. We didn’t care much for the pizza, but my husband loved the cookies and cream milkshake!

Tommy's is pretty good. My only complaint is the strange and too massive menu. It's a ton of reading when you could just call an olive and egg salad an olive and egg salad... Not some weird people name. Service is always good.

We arrived about 730pm and had a small wait. Once seated we received friendly service from Jen. My husband had a burger and fries ($4.49 for a large basket) I had a Caitlin salad w/a side of humus. I ended my meal w/BIP Special (cake) and 2 scoops of ice cream (coffee and black cherry). We enjoyed our meal. Tommy's is a keeper.

Visited Tommy's today Nov1 2020 took my mother and wife there. We haven't been there in awhile because of covid . We've been going to Tommy's for over 30yrs. We have told hundreds of friends , acquaintances ,& family to go to Tommy's. Many poeple we have told had gone to eat and enjoyed the food. The servers prior to Covid were friendly, warm & welcoming. Today was a very disappointing experience . The servers were not customer service friendly at all. My wife & mother were greeted with in a demanding voice about the mask requirement. My mother was on oxygen, very obvious she had her oxygen tube in her nose, the server sternly demanded my mother wear a mask! Totally no consideration for her obvious health issue. We sat at the table for 20 minutes with no one giving us a menu or even greeting us. My wife had to ask for menus. I went to park vehicle, walked in , I made it to the table where they were sitting about 8ft from the door. I was ready to sit down when I was approached by one of the servers, demanding me to wear a mask. The table was only a few feet from the entrance. I had to walk back to the entrance where they had the masks. I put the mask on , walk back to table, with in 2 mins I walk to the restroom. Again, I was stop by the same person telling me , I need to cover my nose with mask . I replied, " no my mouth is covered ." I was ,comng our of men's bathroom when I was approach by the owner of Tommy's . He stated he could refuse to serve me if I dont put the mask over my nose . He told me in an unprofessional tone " don't give my workers a hard time " As a business owner myself, trying to retain business, professionalism and courtesy is key . Presenting a welcoming dining experience is very important. It's unfortunate that we didn't receive the warm, welcoming dining experience we used to receive prior to Covid . Initial impressions make a difference. We will not be dining there anymore. Negative experience travels fast.

History of Tommy's First Location: Soon  after Tommy’s opened as a small soda fountain in 1972, Rolling stone magazine voted it “Best Milkshake East of the Mississippi.” This is a photo of the restaurant’s first location on the corner of Coventry and Euclid Heights Boulevard. It began with 7 seats and eventually expanded to 27. Second Location: In April 1978, Tommy’s moved to 1820 Coventry Road. Here the restaurant was L-shaped, with seating on the 1st floor and on a balcony with a total of 77 seats. This remained the home of Tommy’s until November 1988 when a fire destroyed half a block of Coventry, including Tommy’s dining room. Third Location: After the fire in November 1988 wiped out the dining room, the restaurant continued to use the kitchen but moved the dining room to 1824 Coventry Road, which housed Coventry Cats and High Tide Rock Bottom. Despite this transition, Tommy’s maintained a 70-seat capacity. Current Location: The current site of Tommy’s celebrated its grand opening in May of 1993. It seats 125 people.

This is a great diner with lots of choices for everyone. While the menu is very extensive and took me some time to get used to, the food is amazing. If you are vegan or vegetarian--you must try Tommy's. They will accommodate any allergy as well. Try the MR3, the veggie burger, and the milkshakes!

So good! They had amazing gluten free options and delicious shakes. You know it’s a good shake place when they give you the metal mixing cup. The falafel sandwich was on some bomb, locally made, gluten-free bread.

This was my first time here. The atmosphere was friendly, service was the same. I had a BLT on pita and I enjoyed it. My only issues was the bottom of the fries, which were burnt pieces of crumbled fry bits. This normally happens when they mix used and old fry orders and unluckily, I was the one who received the left overs scraps! Again, everything else was great and will return again soon!

Quite the menu and something for everybody. There’s a happy go lucky vibe at Tommy’s accented by the slew of old fashion milkshake mixers rumbling against the cold cans. I didn’t try a milkshake for lunch but know I will go back for one. I had the “cigar” - corned beef sandwich served on pita with mustard, pickles, sesame sauce and Muenster cheese. Delicious and different. I appreciate the wide variety and the risk of fusing different cultural types of food together for an American twist. Really enjoyed.

I LOOOOVE this place. Great food, they're wonderfully aware and careful about food allergies so I can actually take my daughter there to eat. They're always so diligent about making sure he food is made correctly and safely for her! The staff is great, the prices are very reasonable, and- the milkshakes are divine!! They're FAMOUS for their milkshakes- and it's well earned!

Great atmosphere. Used to go here in the '80s when I lived in Cleveland heights. Still great food. Although it calls itself vegetarian there are plenty of great meat options. Loads of corned beef on the sandwiches, fantastic homemade fries, yummy shakes and smoothies. The side plate of steamed veggies was gorgeous and enough for a meal in itself! Waitress was friendly and effecient. Was recommended by everyone we asked from Cleveland. Next visit I'll be back.

So good. Great menu with options for everyone. Lots of gluten free and vegetarian/vegan options. I don’t have a serious gluten allergy, but they asked, so I would guess they have a system of prepping for those who do. Had the Delaney sandwich (tempeh, sauerkraut, spinach, pickles)... it was delicious. I wanted to keep eating it well after I was full and took 1/4 of the sandwich with me (an amount I would normally not bother boxing up to go). My husband had the Cigar and was similarly impressed. Service was quick and friendly. We’re moving to the area soon and look forward to eating here a lot in the future.

The new patio location it's a great (restaurant) response to these difficult dining times. And as always, it's Tommy's! Now that they're indoors, the same superlatives apply... And the social distancing accomodations are the safest-feeling of any of the few places we go.

Some of the best food I’ve ever had! A great amount of vegan/vegetarian options and very allergy conscious as well! Even non-dairy options for the milkshakes! Quick and friendly service even though it was very busy. Overall a great experience that I would highly recommend. (Pictures of the hummus appetizer and the chicken sandwich)
