Found this restaurant accidentally about a month ago. Might I say I was impressed by the food, service and reasonable prices. Update. We visited this restaurant again this weekend. I was Impressed again by the food, service and cleanliness of this establishment! Good job!

We love Smitty's! Delicious food and great prices! The patio is perfect during the summer.

Food was great and our server was extremely nice! Got the chili, crab cake platter, honey mustard chicken wrap, and french onion soup. All were great and came out pretty quickly. Great prices and great food!

Food and service was great as per usual. Even the regulars make you feel welcome.

Sitting in their parking lot as I write this at 9:39 p.m. on a Friday night. After looking at their website where it clearly says kitchen closes at 10:00 restaurant closes at 11:00. Woman comes running out of the kitchen saying we close in 5 minutes. I said that's not what your website says she said no it says we close at 9:45. Anybody who wishes to go to their website can clearly see that it does not say that. I'm just guessing it's an employee who wants to good off for the last hour and a half of their day. I can see it if the restaurant closed at 10:00 but it doesn't close till 11:00 so there really is no excuse for this. Just moved to the area was to be our first time, it will be our last.

Had a great time -our waitress was great, got all of our orders without even jotting anything down.. strong drinks & Good inexpensive food. They even give you a chance to sit in Obama's chair.

This place was amazing! Me and my family are in the middle of renovating a house and needed some cheap food. $45 for 4 people isn't bad at all and the food was delicious. We were seated immediately plus it was a good atmosphere and laughs all around at the bar area. Friendly staff and very attentive. Will recommend and will definitely be going back!

Signs says kitchen closed 8pm due to short staff. Walked in doesn't look short staffed with at least 5 people that I saw . Time was 7:58pm won't take my order cause kitchen closed but it's not 8pm. Don't care who or what you are if you say 8pm I expect to order until 8pm . Don't say you close at 8pm an refuse let people order before 8 . So unprofessional

Great lunch! This place is fantastic. Real, hometown cooking. This reminds me of old Elyria. Keep it up. Smitty's! A real gem folks - go there!

Today, me and my grandmother went to Smitty's Place after getting my hair cut at Cleveland Street Barber Shop. She ordered the Quarter-Pound Cheeseburger, while I ordered the Shrimp Basket and the Soup of the Day. The shrimp basket is cheap and delicious, including 6 deep-fried Butterfly Shrimp and a hearty portion of French Fries. The soup, not as good. Though it tasted great, it was supposed to be spicy. That's why I ordered it. It turned out to be about as spicy as a Poblano Pepper (About half the spiciness of a Jalapeno). I was disappointed, but it didn't stop me from devouring it. Overall, we had a good lunch. I hope to come here again soon.

We were referred to this restaurant after hitting 3 Goodwill stores. We were starving, and having recently moved to Lorain, we decided to try this place. We came at the right time, because when we finished dining, people started strolling in. I can definitely say this place quenched my appetite. The Smitty’s burger was the right portion. Their horseradish sauce for my fries was yum. When they brought us our food, my first thought was,,, “this resembles a Big Mac!” Far from it. It was tasty and filling. Our server was exceptional in server service. We left the restaurant full, planning to come back soon.

Got take out Smitty burgers and fries, fries were to perfection but the burgers were either over cooked or just bad , no flavor and tough. Haven't ordered from them in awhile but don't remember burgers being tough.

Food is very good. Staff is very friendly also. Can't wait for the patio to open up this spring as I have only recently been going to Smitty's.

Great food and friendly staff. Went with a friend for lunch so we go after the rush because we catch up. The food was tasty and served quickly. The prices are very fair. In fact the next day i placed a pick up order for my lunch.

Smitty's is one of my favorite places! The Smitty burger is amazing! Just beware it is messy because they put lots on it. The servers are always pleasant. They apologize and keep you updated if they think your food is taking too long. I am always surprised that they think its taking longer, but that makes sense when, most of the time, I am stunned by how super fast the food arrives. I highly recommend this place!

Omg this place was heaven we had, our waitress with freckles all over was the 💣, her waiting skills, hospitality was the 💣 she even gave up a few pointer's on what lil spots to check out in #Ohio , we ordered frozen tequila margaritas and they were on point🤑 it was so good my co-worker who don't drink brought 2 of them same frozen margaritas

I came in and sat myself down at a table and my friend and I waited longer than needed to be even asked for a drink. Waitress’s standing around staring at us and still nothing. When a waitress did approach us she was rude and walked away from us. Then when we got our food my friends burger top was hard and the food was cold! I didn’t care for the service my friend and I experienced here!

Stephanie and her crew do an amazing job here! Food is top notch. This is my go-to spot when I meet someone for lunch. Cheers!

Local Bar & grill. Decent atmosphere, kind of small but quaint. Had a Smitty burger, it was good but nothing really set it apart from other burgers Ive had. The place looked clean and employees were friendly. I would go there again.

What a horrible place to go and eat. All of the food came out barely warm. The ice in the drinks tasted nasty, it ruined the flavor of the drinks. The one bar tender was a complete Bit**. A paying customer grabbed a empty chair at the bar to sit at a table and she yelled across the bar at him. One of the worst places to eat in Elyria.

Bar tender turned game off on a man that had been here spending money for 3 hours. I asked her to turn it back on she said um no he can go home I'll never get fired. That right there is bad business! 8 felt so bad for the man he immediately left

Food was enjoyable. Only real issue was paying the bill - she dropped them off and didn't tell us we had to come inside to the register to pay (it was our first ever visit) so we sat around in the sun, waiting for 20 min before deciding to just go inside to see what was up. I also wish their prices were on the menu.
