An apartment that's the worst in appearance alone. Bound by unreasonable rules, we're under constant surveillance from CCTV every day. Except for the one person with immense wealth and power, no other opinions seem to matter at all. Perhaps because many people quickly realize that it's full of problems and move out shortly after, there are always sheets covering the elevator. The location is good, and there are many friendly residents, but the numerous issues with the apartment management become apparent later, making it an uncomfortable place to live. While it claims to be dog-friendly, it's far from it, so I wouldn't recommend it, especially for people with dogs.

AVOID LIVING IN THIS BUILDING AT ALL COSTS!!! It's the worst place to reside in Sydney. Don't be deceived by the attractive pictures. Your every move will be under constant, illegal surveillance 24/7. The swimming pool, sauna, and gym are perpetually out of order. They even fined me 350$ for having friends parked on the visitors parking over on the weekend. The building manager, CHI SAN, is the absolute worst; she watches you around the clock on CCTV, bombards you with mails three times a day for trivial matters, and, be cautious, if you already live here, NEVER entrust them with a bond for facilities – they won't refund you! I've lived on the North Shore for 7 years, at Skye 211 Pacific Hwy, 1 Sergeants Lane, and 10 Atchison St, and never encountered such issues. Furthermore, if you decide to move in, avoid dealing with PSG REALTY and WINNIE GUO. They collaborate with the building manager and are highly unprofessional!!!

I recently had the unfortunate experience of dealing with the building management team at the Landmark. It was nothing short of a nightmare. From their lackadaisical attitude towards tenant complaints to their inability to maintain basic amenities, this team has failed on every level. The maintenance crew seemed untrained and uninterested in their work, leaving the building in a perpetual state of disrepair. The common areas were consistently dirty, with trash piling up in the corners. It's as if they had never heard of the concept of cleanliness. Swimming pool and sauna always out of order. Additionally, communication with the management team was a lost cause. They were unresponsive to calls and emails, making it nearly impossible to address any concerns or queries. It's almost like they were intentionally trying to avoid their responsibilities. To top it all off, the building security was a joke. The frequent security breaches were enough to make any tenant feel unsafe. It's clear that security measures were not a priority for this negligent team. In short, my experience with the building management team at the Landmark was abysmal. I wouldn't recommend this property to anyone!!

So disappointing. I rented here with a view to consider potentially buying. As others have mentioned, the Building Management is nothing short of being draconic and unreasonable. We’re under constant CCTV and constantly getting emailed over the most trivial things. It’s like we’re living in China, if not worse. Amenities were always out of order and the gym is laughably tiny. If I was an owner, I would not be happy that my money is going to these expenses. Neighbours moved over similar issues. Despite the location, I would caution others against the landmark.

We bought an apartment in Landmark in November 2021 and sold in February 2023. Some things you need to consider before renting and particularly buying in there. - The subterranean basement levels: They have severe water penetration/ingress issues. During rain spells, water will run down the walls in certain areas of the basement levels. The mould in our storage cage was severe as a result. There is a persistent musty smell in the basement levels. The developers have put plastic wall covers to cover the walls in certain areas but haven't fixed the root cause of the water ingress. It's the primary reason we sold after getting professional building advice. - The carpark: It is a punish. Badly designed with the lower levels taking a long time to exit. Very narrow and a number of blind spots. We had a number of near misses with drivers in the carpark not keeping to the left. They have installed metal speed humps which are horrendous for vehicles and passengers, particularly for the lower basement levels that suffer long times to exit. - The Body Corporate/Strata Manager: They are fixated on minor issues as opposed to major issues that need fixing by creating punitive by-laws. Examples: You have to carry your dog in lifts/common areas. They have placed punitive parking rules in the visitor parking spots where even semi-regular visitors are classed as 'tenants'. - Surveillance: In 2022 (unsure if this is still their practice) they were sending up drones and then sending the captured images to all residents showing washing/items on balconies. This is a breach of Privacy/CASA regulations. In early 2022 a drone appeared outside my 11 year old daughter's bedroom window and I had to intervene as I caught the drone operator operating it in Freidlander Place. They have captured residents images from the lift cameras not carrying their dogs and then disseminated them to fellow Landmark residents. Again a breach of Privacy regulations. In summary, we found it a very unpleasant place to live, due to the above-mentioned issues and surveillance heavy environment.

If you want to experience how’s lifes in Tibet, Xinjiang, China, just buy or to rent a place in so-called the Landmark, yet looks like a Big Prison. Most of the time you'll hear unlimited sound of fierce wind and engines from vehicles. Take special care when you use amenities like swimming pool, cinema, golf room, lifts, carpark and etc, for these may induce extra costs out of your pocket. To make these happen, 24/7 CCTV surveillance and unique rules are covered by the weird Strata/Building management. Little maintainence effort could be seen to protect the environment, vice versa, Strata management may target residents through CCTV surveillance and find ways to issue fine on users. This may not be a friendly place to reside, not even for short stay. This is a special region in NSW. Make lives easier and happy, recommend finding your home in other places, there are lots better than this just few steps away.

Edit: after writing this review, many of the issues relating to my grandparents appliance issues have been fixed up and sorted by building staff after writing my original review. Several other issues have been addressed as well such as removing the trash from the car park area. The building staff have been very helpful to try and make my grandparents feel as stress free as they could and I really appreciate them for doing that. However, there are still many issues I wrote in my original review that have yet to be addressed. But i will give them 2 extra stars for the staff taking care of my grandparents. Original review: My grandparents moved into the landmark last year. After seeing them live there and hearing their experience with the place, I have to say it has been one of the worst places to live in for the price they paid. I’ll start with the positives; the apartment is very stylish and modern looking. The location of the apartment is also very good as there lots of shops and restaurants being developed, as well as being very close to the train station and upcoming metro. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The activity rooms, gym and pool are very well kept and inviting. The neighbours are also very friendly However that is all I can say positively of the place. When moving in, my grandparents asked for an induction stove, however they got something else, it took the managers 3 months to change it out. It also took half a year to get the other half of their smart curtains installed The apartment my grandparents got was decked with “smart” appliances. Every week, theres always something going wrong, from a light not turning on, to the tv no responding, the curtains getting stuck and not closing, the aircon being stuck at at a temperature, and the worst one yet, the LIGHT SWITCHES stop working! My grandparents have to call in someone to help them about twice a month. The oven locked itself because my gran couldn’t figure out a passcode of some sort. They have their own service provider that you have no choice but to join them, but it also means that they control and monitor everything my grandparents do with their wifi. They lock you out of your “free” router, meaning you cant change your router options, and you cant connect your own router because it wont work. The building is very strict with parking, i cant visit my grandparents without someone calling my grandparents to make sure that the “suspicious” car that pulled into the visitor carpark is indeed their grandkids. Everyone who enters or uses the wifi is under surveillance 24/7 and keeps track of everyone. Its like you have no privacy. Their app that they use for booking the activity rooms is very hard to use and confusing. Unfortunately the place is run as if your living in modern day China. Awful. My gran has broken down many times during the move and has only just felt settled in. However there are still many issues they continue to have. The place is very unfriendly and uncomfortable to the elderly and people who struggle with technology. Heck, even if you are tech savvy, theres a new smart device problem to solve every week. There are so many other issues that I wont get into but relate closely to the other issues i raised. 1.5 out of 5, find somewhere else for yourself or your loved ones to settle down in.

Superficially shiny and luxurious, but cheaply-constructed and poorly-managed just like so many other high-rise apartment buildings in Sydney.
