We went to the bistro for the first time since it has changed. Absolutely love the new dining experience. There were a few things on the menu I wanted to try but I couldn't pass up the salmon cakes (patties) and it wasn't a let down. Nice and fresh salad with peaches and mulberries I believe and fetta. The salmon cakes were flavoursome. Had such a good time and we will definitely return again soon.

We were last here a year ago, before the Bistro / Carvery revamp. Why did you change it? All I craved tonight was a roast beef or lamb with vegetables and gravy. All there was was pork. According to the menu on the wall that's the only roast they have. So now West New Lambton is the same as West Newcastle: one tiny counter, only a couple staff and dramatically less menu. I ordered fish and chips with salad for $18. Price and portion okay. Sadly, the New Lambton carvery from the 1990s had better range. Disappointed. Why did I renew my membership? Back to the cafes in town I guess... 😞

Signature share platter - delish! Steak cooked beautifully, as was all of the meat. Nice way to celebrate our Anniversary. Chophouse grill, food and staff, highly recommend!

Disappointed with our main meal, but cheered ourselves up with dessert! We ordered T-bone steaks, but the order was put through in a stupid way. Having Coeliac Disease, which requires a strictly gluten free meal, the steak meals should have been entered separately. My steak was placed on top of the chips which was my husband's order. Unable to swap the steaks due to cross contamination, I had to eat a well done steak, while my husband struggled with medium rare! The steak seemed poor quality too. Very disappointing!

Had a family lunch here to celebrate several birthdays. The food was delicious & the atmosphere was great. The playground was a major hit with my grand niece. She loved it.

Had dinner with family at the Bistro. Ordered their "Classic" rissoles with peas/mash and onion gravy. This was absolutely awful for their standards!! The gravy was the worst part, like eating worchestershire sauce mixed with onions, actually the odd supermarket Gravox is much nicer!! Rissoles were the same used in another pasta dish, very bland and tasted of more fillers instead of actual mince meat. Mash tasted like it was out of a packet mix. Almost spewed!! We have had same at other venues and all i can suggest is the chefs should take pride at what they dish out!!!!! Extremely dissapointing....😢

We had lunch here on the go! The burger and salad were ok however the lamb meal had a strange taste and I could not eat it at all! The chicken was dry too. Price wise it was ok too. We paid $18 per plate. Parking is available opposite the road and plenty of parking spots available .

This is not a bad place for a beer, but if you want edible food, then stay away from the Bistro. The standard of the chicken schnitzel I got there was deplorable and not fit to be served. It was over cooked, dry and the crumbs were almost black. It gave me bad indigestion. It is amazing that any restaurant believes they can get away with this. A friend who also made the same mistake said the same thing, so this is their usual standard.

Went to West New Lambton Bistro for dinner tonight. My partner said his pizza was great but my Creaser Salad was average with far to much dressing, and left over peace's of lettuce core in my salad.

Waited 40 minutes for bistro meal, told it was 15 mins away, that time passed, checked again to find out they'd missed our order. Then received the worst quality burgers...straight out of the home brand freezer. Certainly wasn't worth the price

Wouldn't recommend, racist and homophobic staff were rude to my gay phillipino friend while watching the matildas vs Philippines game, I heard one staff saying rude things. Won't be back and don't recommend.

Came here for a little catch up with some friends and the bistro area was massive. The menu is extensive and had heaps of options. I ordered Caesar salad with grilled chicken and the portion was generous. I found it to be a bit too saucey and a lot of meat in it so maybe a little too "meaty" for a salad, I probably should have ordered it without the additional grilled chicken. Service was great and this place has nice decorations and great services so I would return :)

Don't bother going there the Management and staff are rude and arrogant, from the moment you walk in the door you are made to feel uncomfortable, the heaters are on full ball even though it is twenty-nine degrees outside. and the poker machines are the worst paying machines in Newcastle if not the whole state.

Good - luxurious club with great service , tasty food and coffee all with a welcoming vibe Bad - dangerous crossing outside with a speeding driver almost hitting an elderly. If in Newcastle a must visit . 🍀

We had dinner in the bistro part. We ordered 4x snitty and chips, and a prawn salad. We waited almost 50 minutes for our meals to be ready and when we finally got them, the snittys were very overcooked and dry and the prawn salad was just mixed lettuce and prawns with no sauce. It was overpriced for the quality of what it was. Tables remained dirty and covered in empty (and partially empty) plates for far too long. Having previously worked in hospitality both as a head Chef, and in front of house, seeing so many staff members on shift, I feel this could have been managed better.

It's a great place to dine out. I had a seafood basket, which was a good helping

Overall the club was fantastic however I ate at the small food outlet on the lower floor (unsure of the name) and ordered the cheeseburger spring rolls. What a mistake that was 🤢. Tasted like wet flour and gave me the squirts the next day. Get that off the menu immediately as it's about the most rancid thing I've ever encountered

Really nice place I come here nearly every day never had any complaints but recently when I order drinks from the pokies I order a vodka water with lime and they gave me a WATER with lime. Mistakes happen I understand but this has happened 3 days in a row honestly I’m frustrated by this as it’s a pretty simple task as I work in bar myself. The main bar are amazing but seriously I’m not sure why the pokies bar are so horrible.

Came here on Valentine’s Day with my boyfriend, he ordered a burger and I ordered steak and asked for it to be rare. It came out well done 🥲 it tasted good so I didn’t send it back. I’m not a chef but I think I would know how long to cook a steak for it to be rare. My boyfriend also said his burger was cold. However, very nice staff, and a good establishment. The food was good despite that small disappointment.

Good setup, prices aren't great but there is good value and convenience, a rare find these days. Handy location, resort amenities and Wests Club proximity makes it outstanding.

Absolutely wonderful club to visit. Many bar areas and restaurants, bistro to choose from. Food from bistro brilliant and many choices on the menu. Plenty of undercover parking across the road.

Went to lizzotes for a dinner show, had a great night then walked down to West's for a couple of drinks before I caught the cab home only to be turned away for being to intoxicated. The 2 people next to me were let in after stumbling up the stairs where I was denied entry after being honest letting them know I had had several beverages but felt fine. I will not be attending or signing up to this club, will just continue supporting my local RSL's

The steak restaurant $99 share plate should really be for the people. Great value and the glass view of the steak cooking is mouth watering.

STOPPED for lunch today and its still the same as far as I could see. After a refurbishment during the Covid-19 pandemic the main dining area is open, light and air-conditioned with seating for around 150 guests . The food was great and it is very reasonable in price. My husband had his regular Lamb's Fry and Bacon while I Had a Bubba Gump salad. Both dishes were a generous size, freshly made and very reasonably priced. I would recommend WEST'S FOR ANY OCCASION IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT THE CLUB, IT'S RESTAURANTS GIVE THEM A CALL.

Had a good time. Food was OK. Place is clean and staff friendly. Shame the bistro seemed to underestimate the crowd that you are going to get for fathers day and were under staffed. 1/2 hr wait just to place order would have been quicker if they had a 2nd person serving.

I have visited Wests many times, and every time I go, they always have good food. I had dinner at the Chophouse Grill a few times and would highly recommend it. However, the one thing I would like to point out is the overpricing of the steaks. Would it be possible to make the prices of the steaks more affordable? Again, great food, great atmosphere!
