Much cleaner than year's ago..More wildlife as a result

Parramatta River is an incredible and lengthy part of Sydney with lots going on. It leads to many different parts of Sydney and you can take very cool Ferry Rides and you have incredible views. It feels great, looks good, and also if you're producing content; it gives you lots of cool backgrounds and more to work with. Great River and love it!

Beautiful place for morning walks. With the feel of nature and a peaceful environment with birds and ducks moving around and feeding themselves. A scenery to enjoy watching.

I'm in love with this river first I saw this river near meadowbank cause I used to work there. So in my lunch break my routine was to go there and have my lunch and enjoy the view and also if you come at the morning you can enjoy view with that peaceful environment cause usually there is less rush in the morning.

Nice to have a walk there in the evening.

Beautiful. Such a shame it's not wheelchair accessible / friendly.

My favourite place to relax and be with myself. Silent river with Parramatta Wharf to travel to places using ferries, Walkway/Cyclepath/Jogging tracks on both sides covering a length of a few kilometres. Various bridges on the river, each with a different design, restaurants at the banks, garden and a mini adventure park for kids.

Beauty at its best

Great bike tracks along the Newington Armory side.

The riverfront at Parramatta is a great place for a walk, run or other forms of exercise. The stairs on the northern side nearest the Ferry Terminal are great to run up and down and you can run around the block and back along the river to mix it up. From the riverfront you can run west to Parramatta Park and do the 3.1km loop or shorter variations before heading back. You can head east past the ferry terminal and over the Gas Works Bridge and follow the north side of the river connecting to the cycleway network along the river.
