👍 Our trip was good, we didn’t get a chance to see whales properly as it was a cloudy and rainy day, but the service from the crew members was satisfactory. I think it would be better if the meal could have been provided at the end of the trip while returning to the harbour as taking the meal earlier... Our trip was good, we didn’t get a chance to see whales properly as it was a cloudy and rainy day, but the service from the crew members was satisfactory. I think it would be better if the meal could have been provided at the end of the trip while returning to the harbour as taking the meal earlier and getting shaky in a boat due to high tides doesn’t make a good trip. Maybe that’s the reason 70% of passengers were puking. The ticket queue could have been better organised. Anyways we thoroughly enjoyed our trip even though we had some upset stomach moments. To those who are reading this review: A sea sickness tablet is a must even though you don’t have motion sickness. This is a different level of motion. Also, if you bring the sea sickness tablet KWELLS with you, you will save a few dollars as the price of the same tablet in a nearby Pharmacy is more than double of Chemist Warehouse.

Awesome views, saw whales, dolphins and seals was an amazing day. The whales were very playful and gave a spectacular show, jumping out of the water, waving to us, was a wonderful experience. Beautiful weather and good food and excellent crew on the boat as well, especially Dylan amazing work man.

There's no way to call these guys to answer any questions and they force you to fill in a form which they take days to reply. I was asking about the sea conditions and by the time they replied, it was too late to change and didn't really give an answer Here are the tips: 1. DON'T go if there is rain forecast or windy. They will never tell you this and take you even if the conditions are poor. 2. DON'T buy the ginger seasick tablets. We were told by the lady at check in that they are useless and to go and buy "Kwell"; an extra $14 wasted on top of the useless ginger tablets. It would have been good if they told you this on their website. 3. They WILL go even if the conditions are appalling and then your stuck in choppy water for 4 hours without a glimpse of a whale. 4. Food was mediocre and definitely not a buffet. The instructions directed to everyone was "less is more" and they serve you so you don't take too much food. We will never go whale watching again with this company. There were many people who were seasick and some were crying with little support. I should have taken a video of every passenger as they all look depressed and sick. The sea conditions were appalling with 2.5 metre waves and these greedy operators had every opportunity to cancel but didn't!. We saw a tiny glimpse of a baby whale in the entire 4 hrs. Do yourself a favour and go to the aquarium instead.

🌊⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Unforgettable Whale-Watching Adventure! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently embarked on a whale-watching cruise that left me completely blown away! From start to finish, it was an experience filled with eager whale watchers, delightful meals, and top-notch preparations. Here's my incredible journey: 🐋 As soon as I stepped aboard, the energy was contagious. The cruise was packed with fellow whale enthusiasts, all excited and passionate. It was like being part of a big family united by our love for these magnificent creatures. 🍽️ The meal served on the cruise was fantastic! It struck the perfect balance, satisfying our hunger without being over the top. The flavours were delicious, and the portion sizes were just right to keep our bellies happy and ready for the adventure ahead. 🌊 Before setting sail, the crew took great care to ensure everyone's comfort, particularly against sea sickness. They provided helpful tips and even distributed remedies to ease any discomfort. It was a thoughtful gesture that made a noticeable difference for those prone to motion sickness. 🎒 Before boarding, make sure to come prepared! Wear comfortable clothing, bring sunscreen, and don't forget your camera. Trust me; you won't miss capturing the breathtaking moments that await you on this extraordinary journey. 🐳 Once we set off, we entered a whole new world. We were surrounded by whales swimming gracefully, breathing with sheer majesty, and engaging in playful behaviour. It was a sight that left us in absolute awe, reminding us of the wonders of nature. 🌊 Despite the sea getting a bit rough, our captain Nathan skillfully navigated a safe route, ensuring our comfort and safety throughout the journey. It was clear that the crew's priority was to make this experience enjoyable for every passenger. 🗣️ The commentary provided by Dave, our knowledgeable guide, was informative and fascinating. His passion for marine life shone through, enriching the experience. And let's not forget about the great deckhands, Tom and Erik, who went above and beyond to assist everyone, always wearing smiles on their faces. 📸 As if all of that wasn't incredible enough, I had the privilege of witnessing not just one but two simultaneous breaches! The sheer power and elegance displayed by the whales as they leapt out of the water simultaneously was a moment I'll cherish forever. It was an actual once-in-a-lifetime experience! ✨ This whale-watching cruise exceeded all my expectations. It was a perfect blend of adventure, entertainment, and educational value. I wholeheartedly recommend booking a trip for anyone seeking an unforgettable journey into the marine world. 🐋⚓ Thank you to the fantastic crew for making this trip a delight. I can't wait to embark on another adventure with you! ⚓🌊 #WhaleWatchingWonder #CruiseOfALifetime #BreathtakingEncounters #WhaleLove #SeaAdventures #CaptivatingCommentary

Although the Captain did a great job in searching for the whales and the staff were friendly and helpful as much as they were capable of providing the choppy ocean experience had ruined the whale watching for many passengers including my partner and I. On the lower deck I counted 15 passengers experiencing a forceful discharge of stomach contents into vomiting bags and mostly all of them missed out on seeing the whales. I cannot understand why more enthisist is not provided on pre-warning customers prior to boarding that sea motion tablets stronger than ginger tablets should be seriously taken. The booking voucher states - seek available remedy from a pharmacy although does not explain that ginger tablets are not effective at all and a stronger non ginger medication should be taken. It is to late to be told at checking in at the jetty by the female staff member that passengers taking ginger tablets will be useless and won't help. There is no chemist you can just pop into at the jetty... My partner and I took ginger tablets which were completely useless to combat the open water on a vessel that has limited ability to absorb the waves. I do not understand why no medical assistance is provided excect for 'here is a vomit bag' when we asked for medical aid. I'm sure by not providing if required non prescription stronger motion tablets when boarding is a OH&S breach. Passengers should have an option to be able to purchase over the counter stronger motion tablets as soon as they board the vessel. I'm sure this would have avoided myself, my partner and the other 15 passengers a terrible experience. A life jacket demonstation was provided yet no mention regarding motion sickness tablets are available although the staff were happy to mention that drinks and alchohol is available to purchase.. Taking the tablets at the time of embarking the vessel or when the life jacket demonstration was performed would have been sufficient time for the tablets to work prior to reaching open waters. Another dissapointment was the food.. Oz Whale Watching should seriously look at providing a better culinary experience. The buffet selection was very poor and with only 3 hot food choices. Your website states BBQ lunch which by serving just low quality BBQ sausages does not in my book mean BBQ lunch.. It would be beneficial for Oz Whale Watching to invest a few extra dollars in making the BBQ lunch a good memorable experience rather than a bad memorable experience. Over my 40 plus years experience with eating at dozens and dozens of buffets around the world the bbq lunch buffet was definetly in the top 5 worst experiences. All of the low quality BBQ lunch cuisine ended up back in their vomiting bags and in their bin which is where it should have been prior to serving.. My partner and I would definitely not recommend Oz Whale Watching again unless there were dramatic improvements..

Full support and respect for the entire crew who took us on this incredible journey! They are cery respectful of the wild animals and very informative. The lunch was halal certified and absolutely amazing. We even saw a full on performance by 2 massive whales just beside our boat! And many more from afar.

Free lunch, just what I had expected and I never bothered to have any lunch. But I was here for the whales and it was OK. But what was wrong with the Guide, screaming in the loudspeakers. I only did one tour and I changed to Whale Watching Sydney and I did 10 or so trips with them during my stay in Sydney

Great team organizing whale 🐋 watching tour offering a nice lunch and great commentary on sights of Sydney and the whales you see. To address the most common comments about sea sickness yes loads of people got sick on our boat too but note that you are paying to go to the open ocean (always choppy even on sunny days) to see one of is most majestic creatures you aren't going on a Sunday sail in your bath tub so if you get sea sick or are unsure if you do then pack sea sickness tablets and stay hydrated - the Oz Whale 🐋 team will help you with their great service and attitude but they aren't running a hospital ship. Expect choppy conditions and be prepared and you will have a great time and you will see the amazing acrobats of the sea

Very bad and horrible experience. 100% would not recommend. Organisers did not warn us that it would be very choppy and wavy with tides "allegedly" going up to 5 metres according to the captain which is why we had to cut the trip back by half an hour (thank God). Moreover there were no whales sighted, only a bare glimpse at best. Over 50+ people attended today and it was clear everyone felt miserable, more than 1/4 were vommitting with their faces on the table due to seasickness, we were told not to use the toilet as people have vommitted all pver. The cruise is extremely cramp, no insulation inside with no heaters etc, and the engine noise was over the roof. All the passengers were given a free ticket lasting up to 3 years to rebook atho I wouldn't be surprised if no one decides to.

This was probably the worst experience I’ve ever chosen to do… it was so unbelievably choppy and 4 out of the 5 of us in my group were violently sick the whole time, I didn’t even get to see the whales, just heard the cheering from all the non sick passengers when they saw whales (lucky them!). I took ginger anti seasickness tablets beforehand but I’m learning now that they’re not strong enough which would’ve been helpful to know ahead of time. Half the people on the boat were also really sick. The whole experience was brutal and we just had to deal with it until the end. I feel like I just paid money to have the worst time of my life with no escape 🙂

Great trip and worth the money. Enjoyed the lunch and the multiple sightings of mother and calf humpback whales playing were incredible. The commentary was very informative. A few people were seasick, so make sure you take tablets if you're unsure (the crew did recommend this before boarding) - the Pacific can be rocky!

I went for the sunset whale watching tour on the 12th of June. The captain and the crew were very good and helpful. They helped us in identifying good spots for whale watching. It was a very good experience. Would highly recommend.

Unfortunately it is a waste of money and 4 hours of time. Hardly seen a whale from far far away and breakfast provided was not worth it. Rather buy a 2 hr watch in small boat without lunch or breakfast Was only served cold poached egg and Mushroom tomato. Seen a whale in the water for 20 min. Rest was just in water looking cliffs.

It was bad. Most people had to vomit. We booked the tour with the BBQ lunch menu. However they only serve food while the ship is on its way outside the harbour and close it afterwards. This meant, that approx. 30 people had a period of 25-30 min to get in line, get the food served from the staff and eat all while the ship was already in motion. So you have to eat quick. Then they rather go with quantity than quality. Our ship was NOT suited for searching whales, since it was not equipped with a sonar. So the ship speeds along the coast for 2.5 hours. We had very bad spotting, since we saw 2-3 times only they fins. This being sad it can happen and its not totally OZ’s fault. The worst part was the speeding. I would say my stomach is quite robust. No problem with flying and ships (I know this, I was on ships multiple times). But this was very hard even for me. I felt bad and many other people had to vomit. All other passengers did NOT look like they enjoyed it, pale faces and the wish for the tour to end. SUMMARY: Very bad planning with the food Ship badly equipped for whale finding Too much speeding caused vomiting of many passengers

I went on a 4 hour whale watching cruise with lunch. The food was simple but good. The staff were friendly and helpful. The commentary was informative. We got to see several whales including a mum and calf. The weather was warm but a little windy and some didn't take the staffs advice about taking sea sickness pills and were sick. But I enjoyed the trip and it was very much worth the experience. I would go again definitely.

Really great experience to join this tour. We have seen more than 10 sightings of whales! - elegant tails, their body, and even their footprint! Thisbis definitely worth it tour during its season - August- September.

Breakfast was good, however I strongly recommend you take sea sick tablets before you board. At least 1/4 of the passengers didn't see anything as we're too unwell.

Thank you to the entire Oz Whale Watching crew for the hospitality and care shown to us throughout the tour. The whales we saw were very majestic and the captain steered as close to them as possible while ensuring we were keeping a safe distance. He also provided us with very informative commentary so I would highly recommend this good value and wonderful tour!
