Red Trail is a great family hike even if the kids are little. Only a few carry spots.
So pretty. I got out of breath, it's a lot of uphill. Prepare for that if you haven't worked out in a few weeks or more like me😅. It's relatively short though. Enjoy
Spectacular west coast best coast ! Lots of trail options with elevation and views. Dog friendly. Horse friendly, human friendly.
Great views, stunning vistas, the look out ridge is a magical place where your eye can see the as far as the Olympic Mountains. Short hikes and long hikes are both encouraged here.
Beautiful trees and plants. Well marked trails, I did Lookout Loop which was a nice walk for my dog and I. Very quiet and only encountered one person. So good if you’re wanting some space away from people.
Great park to get your heart rate up. More of a local workout park than a destination hike. Very nice trails and signs, lots of places to stop and enjoy the forest. Trees have grown quite a bit in the past, but can still see down to both Tsehum Harbour and Pat Bay from the top if you get the angle right. Can also watch planes landing at the airport. Great sunset lighting for taking photos of spring flowers. Parking lot can get a little busy at times, so heads up.
Lovely hike .. pick whether you want gentle or uphill. We have been doing the tougher trail (Sunset Bridle Trail) and its about an hour from the parking lot to complete.
Easy to get to. A few different loops of trails to try. Some hills to get the heart pumping but nothing too far. Very good signage on trails.
Just posting one star to help bring the rating back down to earth. I'm sure this is a lovely spot for people in the area to come walk around. But certainly not the kind of place you'd want to trek from far away lands to see. The viewpoints have limited visibility. There are so many more spectacular viewpoints and hikes in the area.
This was a lovely place for a little hike. The easy route was a little more rugged than expected which was only an issue due to bringing a 77 year old with us.
If you want to go on a small hike, this is a good option! Dogs here are as many as people 🤩
