The restaurant is located inside the Crown Plaza lobby on Albert Street. It is very easy to miss even though it also connects to the Atrium on Elliot. The place isn't very big but does have quite a few tables. Their menu is focused on tempura over rice, ten don, but they also have other Japanese items like curry and soba. Most of the items are under $20 with a few of the special ones being a bit over. I went with the Mega tempura bowl which cost $30. It was quite large and could probably feed two. It had a range of seafood and lots of vegetable tempura over rice with their tasty sauce drizzled all over. The tempura was quite crispy, particularly the seaweed. I quite liked the tempura egg too. They also had pickles by the bar and the bamboo shoot and cucumber one was really tasty. It was a really nice place to stop for really tasty tempura. Edit: Tried the special set with tempura, eel and sukiyaki and it was quite nice.

Highly recommended tempura restaurant in Auckland that you can find. Locate in Crown Plaza Hotel. Level 4 - Shopping Centre part. The food is really good. The tempura is cooked really well, not oily at all. Well staff fantastic 30 seat restaurant. Highly recommend to all.

Came here to try their tempura. We each got ten hana set special. For $25 you get a bit of everything, definitely enough even for a big eater. The presentation was nice, the tempura itself was not oily but felt like they could improve it as it was not the light and crunchy ones that I had from another place. The sukiyaki beef was also dryer than I like, but it all tasted good anyway. However the price, taste and amount was well worth the visit. This place is always full of people.

This place is always a lovely place to go to. Have been coming here for several years even before when it was Genzui. Food is still amazing and tastes great. The staff are also very polite and have polite attitudes. Will come by every now and then!

If I can, I would love to give them 10 out of five :) came everyday during my stay in Auckland. Highly recommend everything(esp.Haha-ten dong). Quite big portion but been improving to finish all. Any visitors pls come and try - there are so many Japanese restaurants in Korea but I would dare to choose this the best. Thank you for the good food!

Their tempura is so amazing. Big bowl of noodle as well. Freshly deep fried. I couldn’t finish this bowl of noodle at all.

Absolutely amazing tempura etc. Japanese food restaurant right in the lobby of the Crowne Plaza hotel. Always full of Asian people, which is a great sign. Food quality is outstanding, yet prices are quite reasonable. Quick and friendly service.

I ordered chicken ten-don and tenhana special set. The chicken tendon is tasteless for my liking. Is not enough sauce. Tenhana special set was ok.

Came here many times because the food is mostly delicious, especially the Ten-dons. Personally, I like the Chicken Ten-don with miso sauce the most.

I had the tempura and beef don. Meal was overall decent with free condiments such as pickled giver and radish. The beef was dry and tempura batter was limp by the time I got to it. The meal cost $18 and I had to add on the $3 miso soup to get through the meal. Overall had an authentic experience but I'm needing a little extra such as Tentsuyu and ume-oroshi.

Love it, very authentic Japanese food. I would recommend the Ten Zaru Soba Noodles and the Special Set. Will come back again!

Had the chicken curry and Ten-hana special set here for a quick lunch. Great value and good taste located in the middle of the city. Good amount of food as well! Definitely a nice place for a lunch with no hassle!

I cant believe there is such a nice Japanese restaurant hidden in CBD. The staff are Japanese and they are very nice. Ordered a Hana Tendon for only $18, with prawn, chicken qnd vega tempura on rice. They taste really good😭😭😭 1000% must try !!!!!

I ordered the tempura with soba noodles for $18. Very impressed with the low price for the quality and quantity of the meal. The prawn tempura just melts in your mouth and the cold soba noodles were light and chewy, which gave a nice contrast to the hot and slightly heavier tempuras. I will be back for more!!

The food was reasonable price, but very tasty. Especially, Prawn and mushroom were very nice🫶 Staff was friendly as well. Highly recommend👍

Ten-hana surves the authentic Japanese tempura. It is much larger than the typical size in Japan. Ten-hana Donburi is surved many tempura as two prawns, chicken, green beans and capsicum. The original sauce is recommended. If you want to eat tempura, this is the place to go.

This is absolutely delicious!!! Most incredible is the pricing is unbelievable reasonable! Very busy eatery, not many seats, it's all packed but it definitely worth to wait for an empty seat. $16 bowl of authenticity Japanese rice with fried items even has one whole prawn inside. Free pickle is providing What else can you ask for? Highly recommended.

Hands down best Tempura in Auckland. Delicious crispy Tempura, with always a large variety of vegetables and changes with season which is nice. Always a generous amount of Tempura is provided and I'm always left leaving with my tummy full. Friendly staff members whom served me with a smile. Reasonably priced and well worth it! I highly recommend this place - the Mega Tempura bowl is highly recommended which is enough to share between two! Added: Went back again for the Mega Tempura along with plain udon and it was delicious even on return :)

There are other options like udon noodles and donburi. The tempura don $16 was huge. Just the right amount of sauce so the rice didnt get too soaked and salty. Good quality tempura but it felt too oily when I finished half of it so couldn’t finish the food. Definitely worth a try if you’re a fan of japanese tempura. Lovely staff.

Had really high expectations but was actually got a bit disappointed as the portion seemed big but all of us still felt hungry after eating. It only got very small amount of rice and the tempura was quite greasy. All of us felt nauseous afterwards.
