Small but still covers the rich history of Devon port and New Zealand. It's free of cost but you can donate something if you want.

Lovely little museum with wonderful people who take care of everything. I had a lovely chat with Gail and she gave me a lot of information about the stunning history of Devonport. Also I got a lot of inspirations where to go next and find the most beautiful spots. Thank you Gail. It was a pleasure to meet you.

You haven't really seen Devonport until you've visited the museum. An enlightening collection of amazing scope and quality in a charming setting. The very model of a museum for a town with a fascinating history. You'll spend far more time than you expect, and want to thank the dedicated volunteers and staff with a good donation.

Born and grew up at Devonport. Loved visiting the museum. So many wonderful memories. The Lady in charge was so pleasant and interesting. Myself and my family, dad, and two sisters, Goldsworthy by birth, really enjoyed our time there. Keep up the awesome work. Kind regards Kerry Grbich.

Being into Ancestry I visited and found pieces of history that directly related to ancestors who lived locally. As I build up more information I wonder if another visit will uncover more surprises. Definitely worth a wander through. Carl Prime married "Toots" Alison, Alison family started the Devonport Steam Ferry Company.

Well worth a visit if you want to know about the history of Devonport and the harbour etc. For a charitable run museum they have a lot to offer. Only problem I found was the building was quite cool inside. If you get the time please visit and support this vital time capsule.
