A very nice hotel.. probably the best in Auckland.. the breakfast spread is simply superb! The staff could be a bit more well trained.. especially at the concierge / front desk.. but i guess that is the problem with most hotels in New Zealand.. that they are either understaffed or under trained.. Just faced a couple of small issues.. the valet charged us 60$ but forgot to charge our car even when he confirmed he would. Laundry was priced double because of public holiday so it was extremely expensive.. 80$ for just 2 tops and a jeans. The toasters at the breakfast table are extremely slow.. takes approx 15 minutes to toast as you also need to flip the bread due to uneven heating. Otherwise overall everything very nice. I would definitely recommend staying here. Loved the room - king size balcony harbour view - see the video that i have posted. Very smart interiors

Best Hyatt we have been to! We had a very pleasant stay in a nice room with balcony facing the harbor. The interior designer did a superb job, as did the staff who are keeping the rooms super clean. All of the staff were extremely polite and helpful. There are 3 different restaurants/ bars inside the hotel. The Pantry restaurant was great for breakfast and snacks. We also enjoyed the sauna and pool. Would definitely stay here again.

Park Hyatt Hotel Auckland Stayed here two times now and absolutely adore this property! From the outside, it’s hard to grasp how amazing this rather unassuming building is made in the inside. On my first trip, they upgraded me to a huge room which was bigger than the suites in most hotels but apparently wasn’t even a proper “suite”. Coming back recently to celebrate my partner’s 40th birthday, we were given an even bigger, proper suite and it was absolutely massive. All the rooms are modern while not overly plush and reflect the theme of sailing and the traditional Maori people very well, something that’s evident in the beautiful lobby and other parts of the hotel too. Staff was generally friendly and city is easily reachable via a pedestrian bridge but there are various food and entertainment options in the immediate vicinity as well. Status recognition as a Hyatt Globalist was perfect, not only the upgrades but also the warm welcome, various in room amenities and also of course the free breakfast. Breakfast is a rather lavish affair though we noted the restaurant manager to be a bit aggressive to his hard working staff members which is always a bit off putting. Finally the only real disappointment is the pool which simply doesn’t really work, seems like an afterthought which is a real shame: While I had beautiful views and afternoon sunshine on my terrace during the first stay (it would easily fit 20 people so way bigger than a “balcony”), the pool is on level 2 and faces the windy and shady side of the hotel. It has an infinity edge with views of the brewpub and the top of the ugly silos opposite of it. They’ve planted trees there so that you don’t have to see the brewpub and silos, hence the view from the infinity edge is… Trees! Awesome idea, must have been the same architect that designed the Hilton pool in Surfer’s Paradise which happens to sit in the shadow of its own hotel building all day.

Great place to stay for luxurious holidays. Pool and the hydrotherapy pool were so well maintained. Twin room we stayed had two separate bathrooms and a separate toilet which was really handy! Highly recommended for anyone wanting luxurious experience.

Without question, one of the best hotels in Auckland. Rooms are fantastic. Service is excellent. Location is great. And the spa and pool are wonderful. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Park Hyatt. We’re Auckland locals and have had a couple of lovely ‘staycations’ at the hotel - including for my wife’s birthday. Great to feel like we’re on holiday again! 😃

10/10! We had a lovely stay. After a 12 hour flight we arrived at 9 am and we were able to check early. We were on our honeymoon and they made it extra special - gifting us a bottle of rose and dessert, plus upgraded our room. The room was beautiful.

My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights at the beginning of March 2023 and were so pleased with our stay. Everything from the service, to the rooms, corridors, lobby, pool, and lovely sauna were impeccable. We don't normally stay in ''fancy'' hotels but this one felt so luxurious. The location cannot be beat either.

Recently stayed here for a business trip. Booking a standard room, the one they gave me for my stay was excellent. Very large with space with separate toilet and shower / full bath room and had a nice balcony. Staff were excellent throughout my stay. They have full size umbrellas available at the reception which is very helpful given the sideways rain that you can get in Auckland like it did during my stay. Unfortunately I didn’t get a chance to try the fitness facilities or in room dining so I can’t comment on this but look forward to trying those on my next visit.

Excellent stay! Everyone we encountered was super warm, friendly and helpful. The breakfast was outstanding as well. We tried the pancake, the congee, the egg Benedict, two eggs with two sides. They were all delicious. The location offered amazing harbor views but wasn’t the most convenient in terms of food and shopping. Since we had a car, this point didn’t bother us too much.

Amazing view, try to get a room with the rooftop and harbor front view. walkable to many eateries. And breakfast offerings also satisfying. V comfortable bed and Attentive yet discreet service… Would be my choice of accommodation in Auckland!

This is the best hotel that I’ve ever stayed in and I’ve stayed in many hotels. I don’t always feel comfortable & “at home” in hotels but this one was different. I was actually sad to leave. It was so clean, spacious, beautiful, comfortable, etc. The service was so great and efficient. The staff was so kind & excellent. The food at the restaurant was absolutely amazing. They have set the standard for future hotel stays! Would 10/10 recommend.

We have been staying Park Hyatt around the world many times, expecting the same standard in terms of service and food quality. We checked in last night, concierge and front desk staffs were really nice and efficient, room are as clean as we expected. We dined in the causal restaurant call “The Living Room” as the main restaurant was not open on Sunday night( I really don’t understand who’s business idea is that, but it is definitely not a smart one!)The service in The Living Room was great, but the food is a good as our local take away, and the chef might be too busy in the kitchen as the fried rice is under cooked (Way under cooked, felt like eating raw rice), we didn’t say anything as we think this maybe the understand from the kitchen about the dish(I do suggest half the portion and plate it better if you were serving this dish in a five starts hotel). However we could not keep silent but to return the under cooked snapper, it was raw inside which leaded me to think it was not even fresh but frozen. The chef did come out apologized and offered something that he can cook fast, but we have lost our appetite already, later on we ordered from room service for a fruit platter and ice cream, lucky that didn’t fail us. Breakfast was okay today, spinach was nice, poached eggs one was runny and the other one not so. I could not stand the way how the yogurt was served, it is not something should be displayed and served in Park Hyatt. Staffs in the breakfast restaurant were not as happy as the staffs from the Living Room last night, especially staffs in suites.

I have had a horrible experience at the hotel. As the morning just before my check out, I was getting changed in my room. One staff came into my room without knocking and saw me. I was in complete shock and felt embarrassed as I have not asked for room services and was not expecting anyone to come in without my permission. I talked to the front desk and the manager on duty at Park Hyatt immediately. There was no procedure or respect of privacy for the guests in supposedly a five star hotel. The manager could only say sorry and offer “something” next time we stay as we booked the hotel through Expdedia. There were no written communications or any compensation at the time as we have checked out. This is a terrible situation and it has not been resolved at a well organized level. Huge dissatisfaction and disappointment with this hotel and management team and staff.

After an excellent first stay a couple of years ago I was excited to return. Sadly it was a disappointment. My king harbour view room didn't really overlook the harbour - rather it looked in to the Viaduct Events Centre. Then after a day out I returned to my room at 6:30pm to find it hadn't been serviced. I called housekeeping at least three times, but no-one arrived to service the room until after 8:30pm. Certainly not a five star experience and took the gloss off what should've been a special weekend away.

Our family stayed with the fine folks at the Park Hyatt Auckland for more than a week during our first trip to New Zealand to see an epic match at Mt Smart Stadium between the host NZ All Blacks and SA Springboks. This hotel is superb. The beautifully appointed rooms were cleaned meticulously and regularly. The views were impressive. The spa services and hydrotherapy room were amazing. The food was incredible – they even provided a take away box one morning when we had an early morning tour. The concierge service was second-to-none. Shoutout to Mary, Ann, and May – each of whom, while exceptionally skilled at her work, was an even more exceptional person. We loved being around these Ladies.

My mom and I went for a pamper day at the spa here. The staff are exceptional and catered very kindly towards us and made us feel extremely valued. From the valets to the spa staff, everyone was so welcoming. We had the best time and can't wait to return for another pamper session.

We recently stayed at the Park Hyatt Auckland and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The location is a real highlight, situated close to a marina filled with million-dollar yachts. It made for delightful walks into town along the marina, adding a sense of luxury and elegance to our stay. The hotel room itself was impeccably clean and well-designed, offering all the amenities you'd expect from a high-end establishment like the Park Hyatt. It felt like a sanctuary where we could truly unwind. Above all, the staff were incredibly helpful throughout our stay, ensuring that all our needs were met promptly and professionally. In summary, the Park Hyatt Auckland perfectly combines an ideal location, great accommodation, and attentive service. It's a must-stay if you find yourself in Auckland. Highly recommend!

We had a fabulous mini break at the Auckland Park Hyatt over the past weekend. Arrived late morning at the hotel to leave our bags and explore the city and found our upgraded top floor room (due to being Hyatt Discoverist Level) was available. The room was 67m2 and included a fantastic balcony right on Auckland's Viaduct Harbour, huge bathroom with double vanity and bath by window looking out over the harbour, large walk in robe, separate toilet & a very comfortable bed. Hotel staff were friendly & helpful (although turndown service at 9:30pm was very very late). Soundproofing of the hotel was good - when we went out on the balcony at night you could hear the noise from the bars across the other side of the Viaduct Harbour, but the hotel room was quiet. Loved the art around the hotel but would love to know why an artwork/map of Hauraki & Waikato areas took 4 floors when the hotel was based in Tamaki Makaurau (Auckland)! Would recommend for any special occasion hotel break!

Would love to leave a good review for the Spa. Natalia is the best masseuse that I have had in Auckland. She is very friendly, professional and she carries a very good energy. Will keep coming back as long as she is there. …:-)

Myself & my family had the pleasure of staying in room 525 from the 15th-18th of September, this being a 2nd stay at park Hyatt. The room, amenities & location are all amazing, but best of all, the customer service by all staff was OUTSTANDING. We took advantage of all the amenities & every single staff member we encountered were genuinely warm, helpful & professional. This will now be a hotel of choice whenever we book a city stay. Thank you Park Hyatt.

Stayed here for a night in the city. Room was lovely but was a bit shocked to find that the room had been serviced the same day we had arrived (just seemed a bit unusual for a one night stay). Also a bit bummed to find that the sauna and steam room were not turned on in the morning and therefore we missed out as we had to checkout. Room, location and staff were all up there but with the price you pay for a room would have expected the amenities to be ready to go.

Best hotel in NZ coming from a guy who has stayed at all 5 star hotel here. Excellent customer service and everything is attention to detail. Rooms are definitely worth it you won’t be disappointed. Highly recommended

Stayed here twice, one night each on our arriving and departing days from NZ. Service was beyond amazing - I have Explorist status and received a room upgrade both times. Room service was delicious and was delivered very quickly. Spa facilities were amazing - can’t recommend this hotel highly enough!!

This hotel is top notch! The rooms are beautiful and comfortable. The design of the hotel is gorgeous! Every staff member we have encountered goes above and beyond. So kind and helpful. They also left a pastry treat in our room for my husband’s birthday. We liked everything so much that we added another night. Excellent location. Close to restaurants and shopping. The restaurants in the hotel are very good and again the staff is amazing. We really enjoyed the pool and the hydrotherapy room. The locker room is beyond everything you will need. This is a perfect hotel to get away and spoil yourself!

So good stayed here 5 different times during our one month trip to NZ! Rooms are great with comfy beds and nice bathrooms. Location is hard to beat in Auckland - walking distance to the best restaurants and bars. But what really makes this place is the phenomenal staff. Friendly, competent and very customer focused. Can’t wait to return!

The Park Hyatt is the best hotel in Auckland. They really understand the meaning of 5* luxury. Concierge immediately came and collected my bags out of my car and valeted it when I arrived, check in and out was easy, quick and smooth and not once did I have to carry my own bag. I had one of the best massages of my life at ‘The Spa’ and one of the best meals of my life at ‘Onemata’. The room had everything I needed + more. The bathroom was huge, with a big bath tub and amazing views of Auckland Harbour. The bed was like a cloud! They really do think of everything, they even wrote me a hand written note welcoming me to my suite which I really appreciated. The staff at the Park Hyatt are second to none, every staff member I encountered went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. From walking me to the restaurant to giving me a smile when I walked by! I would stay here again and again and again! Thanks very much!

Other than not being able to have your child in the spa area even with parental supervision. This Place is amazing. Bed comfort is unreal but also Love the shower and baths too. Great access and location to the waterfront.

Had a great time at Park Hyatt. Minor hiccup during our stay was the room was not yet ready when we arrived at our check-in time and had to wait for 1.5hrs (not exactly a great thing to do when you have a toddler who's supposed to take his nap and only got coffee in exchange without allowing us to check out later to compensate for missed hour). Service was great, room had great views, was clean and quiet, and pool was also not crowded so had plenty of space to swim without bumping into others.

  • 4/5 Gene L. 1 year ago on Google
Rooms were new, well maintained and clean. Issue with the rooms however was that one side of the "Harbour view" room wasn't really harbour view (more like good view of apartment on the other side of the marina). I ended up upgrading to Harbour view balcony for $30 more on the other side of the hotel. The room had an issue with air-conditioning that made loud uncomfortable noise suddenly beginning at 5am and ended at around 5:30am. It was loud enough to wake both me and my wife up. The service was courteous and tried to be useful.

My mother and I attended the Living Room for a Mother's Day High Tea. Right from sitting down at the table there was excellent service. Then onto the High Tea, WOW just wow. All the food was absolutely spectacular and delicious. 5 course we thought we might be hungry, but it was a great amount. I was especially impressed with the sweet/savoury options, what a surprise having carrot in something sweet. With the 5 course you receive 3 x cups of tea. Also an important note, my Mum is gluten free and there was only a couple of changes. She was super impressed given generally GF options are not that good at all. All in all fantastic value when compared to many High Teas we have been to across Auckland. TIP: If there is only 2 of you, request to sit in the tables next to the window. Uninterrupted views of the viaduct in comfy lounge chairs

Super comfy bed, excellent room service and fabulous views. The bath & shower were excellent and the artwork around the hotel was quite interesting. We loved the couples spa too. Best of all, Le Labo toiletries!

  • 5/5 Yumen 1 year ago on Google
We came for the high tea at the lounge. It was a lovely winter menu with a wide array of interesting bites. Wish there was a slightly wider selection of teas. The staff were super friendly but had a bit of trouble with the actual food names. Unfortunately the bathroom facilities were quite lacking - toilet paper on the floors, toilets blocked or not flushed properly, a bit disappointing given the price point and location.

This hotel is pure luxury, who would’ve thought a gem like this was tucked away in the viaduct harbour! We stayed in the harbour view rooftop room and the views were incredible whilst enjoying a glass of champagne. The outdoor pool is heated which was so nice. The gym has modern technogym equipment (even has a stairmaster!) and a mini fridge with bottled water. The spa was the perfect temperature we didn’t want to get out and the refillable cucumber water station was such a nice touch. Didn’t get to use the sauna as it was out of service. The hotel staff were so lovely and the service from everyone was amazing. We also have never had such a smooth checkout process! Cannot fault this hotel and can’t wait to stay here again

We had our wedding reception at the park Hyatt Boathouse in May. We were well looked after by Jared from events since the day one. He answered thousands of questions we had. The wedding went perfectly well more than we could have imagined. The staff and the service we received was exceptional. All our guests praised how good the food was. The accommodation was very fancy, cool view. The Supervisor on the day, the concierge staff, reception staff was soo helpful, easy check-in and check out and helped with our luggages. In overall, it was a 5 star service indeed. Park Hyatt gave us the best service ever!!! Highly recommend to all locals and travelers.

Our flight was cancelled and we notified the hotel of that. We said we wanted to keep our reservation but that we would be arriving a day late. Upon arrival we found out that they had given our room away and cancelled our reservation! This was for my husbands birthday trip and I had reserved a king room, balcony, with harbour views. After over an hour of sitting waiting while they were trying to figure out what to do with us they finally offered us a twin room at the same rate. They gave us a poor excuse telling us that "they didn't receive confirmation of our late arrival" but did aknowlage that they spoke to us heard that we we were arriving a day late. I don't understand how they needed further confirmation of this... We had to scramble at 11pm to find a hotel that had a king bed that could take us. Most of the nice hotels in the area had sold out that night. VERY disappointed! I paid upfront when I booked my room and to have my booking cancelled without contacting us was a horrible experience.

The hotel is in such a beautiful setting and our room is right facing the harbour, gorgeous view. Room is modern and well layout, spacious and nice decorated. The coffee shop Pantry is nice. So relaxed walking along the harbour side out side of the hotel. First choice of staying in Auckland!

We stayed three separate times and I was blown away by the quality of service from the staff. Excellence from everyone we met. Plus the seeing dog beau melts your heart when you check in. The location of the hotel is perfect. Super easy to walk everywhere in the cbd. There are lots of restaurants nearby plus the in house breakfast was good. On a sunny morning it’s lovely to walk around the marina. You may even spot the Americas cup boats going out for testing.

I went to have an afternoon tea experience with my husband. We found this hotel on a website as one of the top experiences. So we decided to give it a try. The food was really good and you can tell it was made by a very talented pastry chef, but it was not what we expected. Portion were very small and they call a course menu for one bite light meal. We are actually very disappointed with the experience as no ingredients of a classic afternoon tea were included. There are no finger sandwiches or the classic scones on the menu. They mistakenly call afternoon tea for this. I do not recommend coming here if you want to have afternoon tea experience.

We stayed on points mid week and got upgraded to a corner room / suite with a harbor view. Room was perfect with a sitting area, extra powder room, and bar -- new, modern luxury. In fact, the light switches are so state of the art, I might recommend an instruction card on how to operate! Found time even in my short stay to enjoy the spa’s ultra sleek hydro facilities (a tad masculine for my personal preference but enjoyable & in line with the overall design vibe) and the Pantry for a casual lunch with lots of options, including cheery Christmas pastries. Room service breakfast was pretty good, though my high hopes for the XO fried rice (given they try to cater to a large Asian clientele) were not quite fulfilled, though I can’t really fault anyone that. Impeccable Hyatt service, beautiful atmosphere as soon as you step through the lobby doors. Wish we had stayed more than a night before our flight back home!

Was my first time staying at a Park Hyatt, and it certainly did not disappoint! We absolutely loved it. Since I had Globalist benefits during my stay, I was able to get a suit upgrade, complimentary breakfast, and two drink tickets. They really took great care of us! But even without Globalist perks, I would say this was definitely one of the highlights of my trip to New Zealand. That's saying a lot, seeing how we hiked to see glaciers, did a glow worm tour, and just did a general road trip throughout the south island. But nevertheless, my night at the Park Hyatt was undoubtedly a treat!

Beautiful hotel that is rather new. They did a great job designing the hotel, feels like a relaxing spa all throughout. The pool and spa / hot tub areas are a must check out if you come for a stay. Staff are all incredibly friendly and the location is great for exploring Auckland.

In a word "Perfect". What is there not to love being right by the water. Ideal location. The hotel itself awesome and hotly staff very obliging, friendly with a smile and go that extra mile. Food, no complaints at all. If you are looking for luxurious I would say try Park Hyatt.
