Best shop ever if you are addicted to sweets or if you want to go on dieting. You definitely try to quit after you buy from Bikanervala Henderson. I bought 2 of each sweet attached photos. Smells worst and a few of them are frozen. It seems they freeze those when Level 4 was announced and selling the same after 8-9 weeks. I apologize to come back to you again after having the same experience for Samosas. The only reason I go back to the same-store is that There are no other sweet shops around the Henderson Area.

Went in last week man this place never disappoints me.. but they really need to work on Filter coffee. Love this place.. I always go here with my family. Reasonable pricing. Reasonable quantity never has let me down on any dishes. Bring the authentic flavours of Northern-India. Always my go. And will always come back..

Tasty, good value vegetarian curries and bread. We got the biggest share one and it could easily feed 4 people

I tried their new place after recommendation (The Indian Butter Chicken & Biryani) I recently visited this restaurant based on a chef's recommendation and decided to try their Biryani and order Family Pack. Unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. The Biryani had several issues that left a lot to be desired. Firstly, the taste was really bad. It lacked the authentic flavors and aromatic spices that make Biryani so special. It felt like the dish was missing key ingredients or had been poorly seasoned. Secondly, the Biryani was served cold. It's quite disheartening to receive a lukewarm dish, especially when you expect it to be piping hot and freshly prepared. The lack of proper temperature maintenance was evident. Furthermore, it was apparent that the Biryani was not freshly made. The flavors seemed dull and lacked the vibrant freshness that one expects from a quality Biryani. It's important for a restaurant to ensure that their dishes are prepared with care and attention to detail. Lastly, even the attempt to heat up the dish seemed inadequate. It was not heated properly, which further contributed to the overall dissatisfaction with the meal. A dish as complex as Biryani requires proper heating to bring out its flavors and textures.

Saturday and Sunday, All you can eat buffet. All food is vegetarian, please ask the staff regarding vegan food. Great price for what you get. The food is very tasty and the price is exceptional for what you get. Drinks are an add-on however water is provided. It feels a bit cramped however you can seat small families or friends groups. There are no bookings and you may need to wait outside to get a seat. Toilets are clean and well kept.

First time when we tries we liked the samosa chat, then when we tried South Indian food they are not able to make it well. Overall bad taste andsont waste your money on their Thali, not worth it.

A good thing about this place is that everything is vegetarian so everything on the menu is fair game. The menu itself it quite large and so it can be very intimidating particularly if you're not sure on what to get. I ended up getting the Henderson Thali to try and taste a bit of everything. I ordered at the counter but it did look like you are able to order at the table, just scan the QR code on the table. It took about 30 minutes to get the plate. Although there were;t many people eating in there were a few getting takeaways. What was exciting is that the food was served by a robot. the naan was nice but it was a bit raw in some places. I wasn't a fan of the pickles since they were a bit bitter. Everything else was amazing. the papri chat in the middle was my favourite. Crispy papri and the topping were quite balanced and delicious. I enjoyed all the curries that came with it. I did like that it was a different protein in each one, paneer, chickpea, lentil, potato and Manchurian dumpling. Each curry had its own flavour and it was really nice. The whole plate was quite large and really filling. I also got a Gulab jamun for dessert which was also quite nice. It was a nice place to have vegetarian Indian food which is different from ordinary ones.

    - Plastic strip in aaloo tikki - Over cooked Potatoe Amritsari kulcha. - Bit uncooked and too much dough in Poori - Asked for 2 Potatoe Amritsari Kulcha and got one paneer and other potatoe one. - asked for tea in the end and got tea served with food. - Not over busy however bit slow with service. Had bad experience few times however this time topped up the chart. Come all the way from Hibiscus Coast however not next time. Would prefer to eat at Mount Roskill Original Bikanerwala.

We had this Baahubali Thali which was really amazing and is enough for 2 people. And also had Samosa's which were very well flavored and well cooked.

Good quality food. Clean utensils and restaurant. Nice customer service. Fast service. Best sambar served among all the other Indian restaurants in Auckland, You can actually see vegetables in it. Both South Indian and Indian coffee was served With chocolate powder dashes on top which was not really authentic and the aroma you get is chocolate powder and not the strong coffee taste or smell.

this restaurant offers a wide array of scrumptious Indian dishes. The menu, though extensive, is a culinary treasure trove. Quick service, cleanliness, and ample seating create a cozy dining atmosphere. The reasonable pricing and daily specials deliver excellent value for money. A visit to Bikanervala is an experience that leaves you longing for more. Best wishes!

THE WORST EVER!! This is the third time(in 7 year) for me trying the food here, and I am surprised how consistently bad the food is here. The menu is definitely tempting, but unfortunately cannot say the same for the food. The sev puri was soggy. The rava masala dosa was not made of rava but maida instead and was hard like a stone. The table wasn’t cleaned well, and we decided to change our table, the other table was even worse - had some hair stuck on with glue. The momos seemed like they were cooked ages ago. Came home, my daughter fell sick. I had a bad headache and vomited multiple times. I don’t know how do they even have a permit to run a pathetic food business and that too from so long.

An absolute gem in the heart of Henderson, Bikanervala is a vegetarian's paradise offering a wide variety of authentic Indian dishes. The restaurant is tucked away from the busy Universal Drive, making it a delightful hidden treasure. It boasts a large menu that can be a bit overwhelming at first but every item is a culinary adventure worth embarking upon. For a comprehensive taste of what Bikanervala has to offer, the Henderson Thali is highly recommended. Each curry in the Thali, be it paneer, chickpea, lentil, potato, or Manchurian dumpling, has its own unique flavor profile that tantalizes the taste buds. The papri chat, with its balanced and delicious toppings, is a standout among the array of dishes. And for those with a sweet tooth, the Gulab Jamun is a must-try. One cannot talk about Bikanervala without mentioning their signature dosa, a meter-long roll of crispy pan-fried fermented batter that is nothing short of impressive. Their tandoori mushrooms are also an unexpected delight that can rival any non-vegetarian tandoori dish. The restaurant has a simple, utilitarian decor that adds to its charm. The service is quick and the food arrives piping hot. The fast and efficient service, coupled with the clean environment and ample seating, makes for a comfortable dining experience. But it's not just the quality of food that sets Bikanervala apart, it's also the value for money. With reasonable prices and daily special items, it offers great value without compromising on taste or quality. Whether you're a vegetarian or not, Bikanervala is definitely worth a visit. It's not just a place to eat, it's a place to experience the rich and diverse flavors of Indian cuisine. And once you've been there, you'll find yourself always wishing to go back.

Good things first Have good variety of sweets. And a robot for serve you food 😉 Things to be improved Indian snacks are below average, only one example to give you an idea. Pani Puri is terrible, needs a heap of improvement. Serviettes are to requested. A very rare place where dine-in cost additional than that listed price. An example 1 Kachori cost $3 for take away but $3.50 for dine-in. Reason, for dine-in they have to serve in their utensils, hence the extra fifty cents.

My wife orders from this restaurant sometimes and has tried many of their dishes over the years. Unfortunately, this place is somewhat underwhelming as the owner is rude a lot of the time. She seems to genuinely be unhappy with her job and is taking it out on the customers. On our most recent visit on Friday, other people got their orders first and my wife literally had to ask the counter, only to be handed her food like it was going to the bin. The food is average, as sometimes it is really good while other times it can be bad, and not fresh. The standards here are just one big mixed bag. I used to eat here but gave up as the quality started to worsen over the years. Overall, she said we will not be going back, and neither will I. What started out as a great place has slowly become complacent and reliant on money, rather than passion. Sadly, this is what happens to the majority of restaurants out there.

We were there during lunch time on weekend luckily wasn’t crowded. We ordered Pav bhaji and paneer tikka both were tasteless and pretty Pav bhaji had 3 stale bread with almost no butter and bhaji was given too less enough for 1 pc of bread. Very much disappointed with the food quality and quantity. Paneer wasn’t fresh too and dry and was not even warm when came to me same like the other dish. Wouldn’t recommend at all if you are looking for a good quality food!!!!

Been coming here for years. Polite, friendly service. Generally good food. Dahi puri, lassi, etc. are good. Bhel puri could use some improvement. Good selection of mithai. The robot waiter is a fun novelty for the kids.

Fairly good for the value but not contains much filling when it comes to masala dosa. But gravy portions are sufficient for the individual requirements..

Overall, the place is nicely lit and that makes a good sitting. The food quality is average in three aspects of taste, quantity and quality. There is an undercurrent of rudeness amongst the staff. The hygiene of the washroom does not convey tidiness. The “chane” mentioned in thali on menu card are actually “chole”. So if you order thali and chole bhature, you will end up with the same curry. If it was India, this would be a street side average place. There is a bot that delivers food and that may be catch some attention. My message to staff “a smile costs nothing but pays everything”.

We ordered multiple items in our first irder. Out of which we ordered tawa veg n bread! Veg came so early and bread(roti) cane after 20 mins…Veg by the time was not hot at all…Still we said ok happens on Diwali. second time we ordered food tava veg and .m. Amount needs to be paid first to order the food. We did that. More than 20+ mins we didn’t got our food again. Was so frustrated that I somehow made my mind that I am done with my lunch now. We asked them polietly if the food is not ready then they can cancel and refund. They said its ready. We waited again for 3-4 mins still the food was not there. So i just asked them to give food to the next one who orders and informed that I dont want the refund if they feel it was our fault and just left the place. But this is really a poor experience if we have long waiting for food and sitting there for around 1.5 hrs… Neverthless I like this place and a good food! But time management and experience this time was poor

Had the Pani Puri's and dahi papdi chaat along with masala dosa. The Puri was not fresh and slightly stale however with all the ingredients mixed together, it tasted well. The dahi papdi chaat was nice but felt it could have some papdis in it. Altogether it was a nice experience

It’s surprising that so many people don’t know about this place! As an Indian, I can vouch for the taste. I mostly go for the savoury dishes here; Cupcakes here are pretty good too! Definitely worth a try, if nothing else. Can’t go wrong with their pav bhaji or thali. Thanks for the great food, appreciate it! :)

It was my first time dinning in here and the food is really tasty and full of flavour. Amazing vegetarian food. My mum loved it and shes normally fussy. Thank you for an amazing lunch which i enjoyed with my family . The only thing i would like say is that one of the staff was really rude to an elderly gentleman who was waiting in line with his family to order food and the delivery robot was being blocked. She literally yelled at him and asked him to Move. He wasn’t my family but i felt bad . Please be a bit polite.

🤖 serve the food 🥘 is the best attraction of this restaurant. Very nice and humble staff with fast 💨 service no matter how busy is the restaurant… Monty & Monika ji knows very well how to look after their long term clients. Pao bhaji/Soyabeen chaap/daal makhni/kulchas/noodles are must try dishes. Kalakand sweet is must take away along with fresh leaf paan !!
